We are delighted to have been awarded funding by the National Lottery to deliver a third phase of our incredibly popular Women off to Work (WoW) programme. Since 2017, WoW has supported hundreds of local women from predominantly Global Majority communities through holistic training and pathways into work programme.

WoW delivers a blend of life and vocational skills training, promoting general employability and improved wellbeing through work experience placements, internships, job brokerage, practical advice on self-employment and micro-businesses, ESOL classes and more. The programme provides women with opportunities to gain formal and accredited training qualifications and provide support with tailored into-work action plans.

The Programme Manager will play a crucial role in continuing the successful delivery of this vital programme, managing and motivating a team to ensure that WoW hits key performance targets.

Role and Responsibilities 

We are looking to recruit an experienced, innovative senior legal manager to manage our international Governance & Accountability Programme. The ideal candidate will be a qualified lawyer (or international development professional with equivalent experience in rule of law /governance / NGO use of legal strategies), with deep enthusiasm and in-depth knowledge of how our partners could use the law to achieve anti-corruption reform. A more detailed explanation of our organisational and programme strategy is set out in our 2024-2026 Strategy.

Working as part of a small but dynamic team, you will have the opportunity to learn at close hand what it means to work for an international NGO focusing on how the law can be used to fight corruption and achieve environmental and economic justice. You will develop projects with a range of partners, including international agencies, NGOs, CSOs, governments and government bodies. You will collaborate with a range of volunteer lawyers (law firms and barristers chambers) who are leading experts in their field. You will also nurture, build and maintain relationships with our funders. The role will involve outreach to new partners, programme management, drafting fundraising applications and donor reports, tracking impact, as well as evaluating and learning from projects.

Key Responsibilities: 

1. Implement the strategic vision for ILP’s Governance and Accountability (G&A) programme, in conjunction with the Senior Programmes Director, Senior Counsel, Legal Fellows, Executive Director, partners, staff and Board; 

2. Develop an expert understanding of the most effective policy tools and legal interventions to deliver the programme’s objectives, through engagement with volunteer lawyers, ILP partners, staff, Board and others; 

3. Build and maintain ILP’s G&A programme. This includes:

· Liaising with partners to identify legal/policy/campaign needs and offer potential legal and/or policy reform solutions, including through conducting analysis of their activities; 

· Creating an active pipeline of G&A projects and cases including environmental crime and corruption, through identifying and engaging in regular outreach with potential new partners; 

· Ensuring an even spread of G&A projects across the five strategic programme pillars;

· Identifying, building and maintaining strong relationships with existing and new highly experienced volunteer lawyers;

· Mapping and developing relationships with regional and international development entities and other technical assistance providers to identify potential partners, needs and focus countries; 

· Representing the programme in external fora and events; 

1. Ensure effective project delivery and evaluation of impact including: 

· Managing & coordinating project implementation through the full project cycle; 

· Delivering financial management for assignments including accurate budgeting, forecasting, accounting and reporting; 

· Supporting the development and maintenance of strong programme management and knowledge management systems and processes, including regular updating of ILP’s databases; 

1. Working closely with the Senior Counsel and Senior Programmes Director, lead fundraising activities to support both the G&A programme and organisational overheads, including exploring opportunities for potential funding with partners, liaising with and nurturing donors, designing funding applications and creating relevant budgets; 

2. Line management of G&A Legal Fellow;

3. Share in the necessary operational and administrative activities of the organisation and contribution to website and social media communications.

Candidate profile:

We are especially interested in candidates with the following skills and experience: 

· A qualified lawyer (or equivalent with significant relevant professional experience) with an  excellent understanding of how law is useful to achieving reform in our key strategic work areas: public procurement integrity, environmental crime and corruption, accountability for international corruption asset recovery, countering illicit asset flows and illicit asset recovery, and tackling the UK’s role as an international money laundering hub for enablers; 

· Understanding and enthusiasm for the concept and practice of pro bono legal assistance;

· Demonstrable project management skills and experience in an NGO (5+ years);

· Demonstrable experience in donor management, including drafting fundraising applications and budgets, nurturing new and managing existing relationships, meeting donor reporting requirements, drafting donor impact reports and raising funds for future projects and activities;

· Relevant experience and knowledge (either from previous work experience or study) relating to economic justice and/or environmental law and policy in an international development context;

· Ability to work on a wide range of tasks simultaneously, and at speed, including developing and managing relationships with a range of stakeholders (donors, NGOs, civil society organisations and government representatives), on an international basis;

· Demonstrable understanding (either from previous work experience or study) of key issues in sustainable international development, including the UN Sustainable Development Goals; 

· Excellent research skills; strong administration and coordination experience in an NGO setting;

· Strong interpersonal and team working skills; 

· Comfortable working independently and proactively and as part of a small team with a busy caseload;

· Very high level of fluency in spoken and written English;

· Working knowledge of another language such as Spanish (desirable).

· Travel: candidates must be willing and able to travel internationally 2-5 times per year, including fulfilling vaccination and other requirements.

Proud to be at the forefront of the Community Land Trust (CLT) movement, we were the first CLT in the capital to sell homes, starting with our flagship project at St Clements in Tower Hamlets with 23 homes, and then continuing with our first direct development at Citizens House in Lewisham with 11 homes. We are looking for an individual who will ensure that the effective day-to-day operations and communications of London CLT run smoothly. Providing vital support across administration, governance, HR and project delivery, acting as a central point of contact for London CLT and taking ownership of our communications strategy, developing an annual communications plan and producing well-targeted, engaging content and communications for members and other priority audiences.

You will bring strong experience in operations, office management, administration and communications, ideally in the non-profit or social enterprise sector, with the ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities, and feel confident with IT and Office systems.

It would also be helpful and advantageous if you have experience working with community-led organisations, an understanding of social justice and community development principles or bring lived experience of housing challenges or connection to communities affected by the housing crisis.

About the Youth Endowment Fund

We’re here to prevent children and young people becoming involved in violence. We do this by finding out what works and building a movement to put this knowledge into practice.

In recent years violent crime has risen significantly. Homicides, assaults, robberies and offences involving weapons have all seen sustained growth. We have also seen large increases in violent crime involving children and young people. This is a tragedy. Every child captured in these numbers is an important member of our community and society has a duty to protect them.

The Youth Endowment Fund (YEF) is a charity with a £200m endowment and a mission that matters. We exist to prevent children becoming involved in violence. Our mission is to find what works and build a movement to put it into practice. A big part of the movement that we need to build is in the world of policing. We need to inspire and connect with police forces across England and Wales to spread what works and make our country safer for some of our most vulnerable children. We are looking for someone to lead on making this happen.

 

Key Responsibilities Include:

We are making good progress building the evidence of what works within and around policing to reduce violence, with new Practice Guidance and implementation resources on diversion and focused deterrence. But the big risk is that we publish guidance and nothing changes. That’s where you come in. Your role is to work out the best way to make this change happen by getting more senior leaders within policing to use our Guidance, toolkit, research and implementation tools to inform day to day operations and strategic decision making. This will involve:

• Developing great relationships with senior leaders and frontline police officers, generating a strong understanding of key policing issues, needs and behaviours, and building credibility and trust with the sector. 
• Developing, managing and tracking the change plan to get more senior leaders to be aware of and use our Guidance, tools and resources, continuously looking for data-driven improvements.
• Creating practical tools and resources that help leaders put evidence into action.
• Supporting police forces, violence reduction units, and police and crime commissioners to develop or strengthen evidence-based practices, including focused deterrence, hotspots policing, and problem-orientated policing.
• Overseeing our partnership with the Society for Evidence Based Policing, helping us to collectively achieve our shared aims to promote evidence-base practice across the sector.
• Working out other effective ways to connect people with the evidence, then making those things happen, from putting on a brilliant conference to regular virtual learning events and presentations.

About You

The National Youth Agency is looking for a new Administrator to join our Core Operations Team.
 

Contract: Permanent
Hours: Full-time - 37 hours per week
Salary: £25,000 per annum
Remote: This role is homebased with occasional travel for staff residentials and other events. Ideally the post-holder will live in commutable distance to our office in Leicester.

About the Role
 
We are seeking an experienced administrator to support the smooth running of our charitable work through a range of administrative tasks. You will join a committed, lively team working together to transform the lives of young people through the power of youth work.
 
This role will be responsible for providing an efficient and effective, day to day, administrative support function for the wider organisation.
 
We are looking for a friendly, professional, and enthusiastic individual with a broad set of administrative skills who can deliver an extremely high level of customer service to our stakeholders and colleagues. The role is extremely varied and an ability to multitask is essential.
 
This role would suit someone who is confident, flexible and has great communication and organisational skills.
 
We need a self-starter who enjoys a challenge, can hit the ground running and is able to work remotely. A key person in the office, you will help support the work of other team members and become a valuable asset to the charity.
 
Key responsibilities for this role will include:

• Co-ordination and arrangement of meetings and events.
• Acting as the point of contact for internal and external stakeholders ensuring all telephone and email enquiries are dealt with effectively and in a timely manner.
• Finance administration; supporting with processing expenses and the reconciliation of credit card payments.
• Create, maintain and update confidential records.
• Preparing reports, documents and presentations for internal and external meetings.
• Support meetings including providing agendas, minutes and briefing documents.
• Booking travel, accommodation and venues.
• Performing data entry tasks.
• Any other duties that may reasonably be required of the role.

We are seeking a Dementia Carers Support Officer who can make a positive difference to the lives of unpaid carers in the diverse communities of Redbridge. We are a Queen's Award winning charity with over 30 years experience of supporting unpaid carers in Redbridge. The post holder will focus on supporting carers of someone with dementia, by providing them with advice, information, referrals and access to peer social and learning activities.  The role requires an understanding of health and social care services, particularly in relation to support for unpaid carers and someone who can show compassion and understanding to carers in crises or facing complex challenges.  A key outcome is ensuring carers can live a healthy and fulfilling life alongside caring and not be at risk of acute isolation.

This is a varied role, suited to someone with the experience and confidence to lead peer groups, activities, outreach and work with professionals at all levels.  There is plenty of scope within the role to develop new services in response to carer needs.  The post holder will work within a team of Community Support Officers. This is a job-share post with an existing part-time Dementia Support Officer.  The role is based mainly in Ilford and throughout Redbridge, with some home working.

• ​Collaborate with the Associate Director, Financial Services to steward and cultivate a $2M+ USD portfolio of partners in support of the Global Corporate Partnerships Financial Services strategy with a focus on diversified funding streams, growing unrestricted funds, and expanding influence;
• Help to deliver a robust strategy for the Global Financial Services sector; identifying and initiating strategies for sector partnerships through a variety of partnership models (e.g. strategic, employee engagement, pro bono expertise, etc.)
• Implement stewardship, engagement and growth strategies for partners within the portfolio including account plans, proposal submissions and partnership discussions.

As Philanthropy Manager you will design, implement and manage a compelling, mid-value fundraising programme, including new donor acquisition strategies, stewardship marketing products, and supporter journeys, aligned with clearly defined KPIs. With a fantastic Events team and programme and strong networks, there is huge potential to increase engagement and income with this role. More about the role:

The Database and Gifts Officer role is integral to the Development and Alumnae Relations (DAR) department, supporting the school’s fundraising and engagement efforts. The postholder will manage and maintain the alumni and donor database, ensuring the accurate entry of gifts and pledges, and collaborate with the Finance team to ensure financial data is up to date and reconciled. Members are an important source of volunteers for our governance and peer support groups. They help shape the direction of our work through our Annual General Meeting (AGM) and the work of the Board of Trustees and other committees.
