Working to specific income targets, the Supporter Engagement Manager is responsible for acquisition campaigns including regular giving, direct mail appeals, online fundraising, legacys;  retention campaigns including ongoing stewardship to increase supporter engagement. You will grow relationships with supporters and work closely with wider fundraisering team to devise and execute creative and effective stewardship journeys. You will have a sound understanding of fundraising membership schemes and sector regulations, with knowledge of best practice CRM and/or fundrasing database.

The Supporter Engagement Manager will work with the Senior Head of Supporter Engagement to develop the strategy for increasing income across all individual giving streams and then work with the Marketing and Communications Manager and the wider team to impliment it. You will play an instrumental part in creatively engaging supporters to get involved in our high-value campaigns, events and regular giving programme. This includes our annual matched-funding campaign and reoccuring giving programmes, which last year raised £1m and £150k respectively. The post-holder will be key in taking the Individual Giving programme to the next level, providing proactive engagement opportunities and efficiently work with data to provide timely, targeted, relevant and engaging communications to our various supporters.

Main purpose of post
To provide high-level, confidential administrative and strategic support to the
CEO and Deputy CEO, enabling them to focus on leadership priorities by
managing their schedule, communications, and key relationships—while also
supporting governance functions and ensuring smooth coordination with the
Board of Trustees and senior leadership team.
Co-ordinate and service all Board of Trustee meetings and committees to ensure
the charity is effectively governed. You will provide support to the Trustees as
required.

Support the Senior Leadership Team by co-ordinating and servicing meetings,
creating and monitoring action logs and administering the Risk Register.

Key Responsibilities

Executive Support:
 Provide proactive administrative and strategic support to the CEO and
Deputy CEO, including diary management, meeting coordination, and
handling correspondence.
 Manage and prioritise emails, draft communications, and assist in the
preparation of reports, presentations, and briefing documents.
 Coordinate travel, event attendance, and speaking engagements for the
CEO and Deputy CEO.

Board & Governance Support:
 Act as the key administrative support for the Board of Trustees and
Board committees, including scheduling meetings, preparing and
distributing papers, taking accurate minutes, and tracking actions.
 Maintain governance calendars, ensuring alignment with charity
reporting requirements and deadlines.
 Support the CEO and Head of Governance & Operations in ensuring
compliance with regulatory and governance obligations (e.g., Charity
Commission, Companies House).
 Facilitate effective communication between the CEO and Trustees, and
support Board induction, development and off boarding processes.
 Maintain accurate records and filing systems for confidential and
governance documentation.

Stakeholder Engagement:
 Liaise with internal and external stakeholders on behalf of the CEO in a
professional and timely manner.
 Support the planning and execution of high-profile meetings and events
involving funders, partners, and supporters.

Office and Project Support:
 Assist in the delivery and tracking of cross-organisational projects led by
the CEO.
 Coordinate Leadership meetings including preparing agendas, papers
and monitoring progress against the annual plan
 Coordinate the reporting from strategic working groups to monitor
progresses against objectives
 Coordinate and prepare assurance documents including the Risk
Register, CEO report and regulatory or compliance documents, as
required
 Provide occasional support to the senior management team, as required
 Undertake any other duties as the organisation may reasonably require.

We are looking for a Director of Income and Investment to lead all UKMSA’s income generation, and to ensure we steward and invest our income effectively. Working alongside the CEO and SLT, and in partnership with the Board, the UKMSA team, volunteers, men’s health stakeholders, partners, and Shedders, you will make connections that strengthen the movement and make it truly sustainable. In a world that feels increasingly polarised and divided, Shedding provides an inspiring antidote. This is about individuals, but it’s also about strengthening the communities where those Shedders live and contribute.

You will lead on the development of new partnerships, unlock opportunities for Men’s Sheds, and champion a creative, values-led approach to income generation and financial stewardship.

The Director will also work proactively as part of a collective senior leadership team, working closely with the CEO, and sometimes deputising for her, offering continuity of leadership, maintaining momentum, and stepping into key internal and external forums when required. This includes leading in partnership with other senior staff and board members and representing UKMSA at high-level meetings and events. The Director is expected to make sound decisions in the best interests of UKMSA and lead others with clarity and purpose.

Background

Lepra is dedicated to addressing leprosy and lymphatic filariasis (LF) and their consequences through direct support, advocacy, and the promotion of inclusive communities. We work in Bangladesh and in India, through our sister organisation, LEPRA Society. We work in partnership with people affected by leprosy and LF to improve detection, ensure access to treatment and care, and promote inclusion and wellbeing. Last year we finalised our new Global Strategy for 2024-30, which will guide us in our efforts to accelerate progress towards global targets for leprosy and LF, and towards our vision of a world free from leprosy and LF.

Job Context

Our Global Strategy marks a significant evolution in our organisational direction, introducing innovative approaches and renewed priorities. This includes our first-ever global Theory of Change (ToC), our most comprehensive Monitoring, Evaluation, Accountability and Learning (MEAL) framework to date, a Research and Innovation strategy, and a dedicated Advocacy sub-strategy to guide our influencing efforts.

With the Lepra Advocacy Strategy, we will be working over the next 6 years to strengthen our approaches to our advocacy efforts. The post holder will play a key role in supporting the roll out of the Advocacy strategy working closely with the Director of Programmes and Advocacy, the Head of Research, the Senior Programme Manager, the Programme Officer and the teams where we work.

 

Job Purpose

This role is an exciting role within the programmes team in response to evolving needs. The incoming post holder will work within the 5 person UK’s Programme and Advocacy team and will drive, advise and support the team in relation to Lepra’s advocacy profile. Working Relationships

Key responsibilities

Advocacy Delivery (50%)

Under the supervision of the DPA implement Lepra’s global Advocacy strategy and coordinate advocacy initiatives.

Serve as the driver of advocacy efforts, facilitating the transitional year of implementation including coordinating the Advocacy Steering Group; advocacy toolkit development; action planning.

Represent Lepra in specific fora and advocacy networks and within the broader leprosy and NTD community in close coordination with the DPA.

Produce quarterly advocacy newsletters

Maintain quarterly reports on flagging areas of concern and actioning steering committee advice.

Assist in the preparation of policy documents and the presentation of papers for publication, conferences, or specific institutions and/or individuals - identifying and targeting the most appropriate audiences.

Support and contribute to the development and implementation of initiatives that foster an inclusive, equitable, and diverse environment across organisational programmes, policies, and advocacy efforts.

Support and contribute to initiatives that promote inclusion and equity, with a strong focus on developing the leadership and advocacy capacity of people with lived experience of leprosy, ensuring their voices are central in decision-making and programme design.

Knowledge management / Learning and Development (20%)

Support the preparation of Lepra advocacy and policy documents.

Disseminate knowledge so that it is integrated into Lepra’s portfolio to amplify the impact for target audiences and improve their outcomes.

Facilitate the new knowledge and learning hub and forge a clear path for its evolution.

Facilitate knowledge sharing through updating the communications team with relevant materials for the new programme folder on the website.

Organise and develop advocacy training.

Develop and take ownership of the new programme’ s team knowledge sharing approaches.

Develop a workplan of knowledge sharing events. 

Support annual review meetings.

 

Communications (10%)

Assist the programmes team with the documentation of Lepra examples and models of best practice, at the same time identifying and developing mechanisms and avenues for the effective dissemination of this knowledge – internally and externally.

Assist the programmes team, DPO, Chief Executive and Country Programme staff in the synthesis of complex technical/scientific information adapting it to language and formats easily used by target audiences.

Contribute to content development of community engagement materials (public information, brochures, leaflets) that help explain the operations and impact of Lepra’s work to LF and/or leprosy affected communities.

Maintain good working links with Lepra’s UK Fundraising and Communications Team, contributing towards UK facing communications materials as and when required.

Prepare updates, papers, and reports for trustee meetings, funding partners, and wherever else applicable.

External representation (10%)

Support the Chief Executive, DPA and programmes team to maintain and expand existing strategic relationships with key international stakeholders to further Lepra’s advocacy strategy and advance Lepra’s agenda.

Ensure Lepra’s external profile is raised and become the go-to organisation for the leprosy community in terms of advocacy and policy briefings.

Support the preparation of documents for presentation, publication or dissemination at international fora.

Develop/support the development of country specific briefing notes/press kits with the communications team.

Represent Lepra at key events, conferences, and meetings to enhance our visibility and opportunity for impact.

 

Safeguarding (5%)

Desirable

Join our team at the National Memorial Arboretum as a Visitor Services Assistant, where you’ll play a key role in creating a warm and welcoming experience for all visitors. As the first point of contact, you’ll provide friendly and professional customer service, ensuring that every guest gets the most out of their visit. The Arboretum is the UK’s dedicated year-round centre of Remembrance and is part of the Royal British Legion. At its core, the Royal British Legion is a people-focused organisation. This is a customer-facing role where no two days are the same. You’ll be supporting the welcome desk team, answering visitor enquiries, and responding to feedback with care and professionalism. A good knowledge of the site and its operations will be key, allowing you to share insights and enhance the visitor experience.

Animal Welfare Investigations Project (AWIP) is embarking on an ambitious five-year strategy to become a membership-first organisation, empowering thousands of animal advocates to join us in protecting animals from harm. 

As part of this transformation, we’re seeking a compassionate, organised, and proactive Membership Services Officer to be the first point of contact for our members and supporters, ensuring every interaction is warm, helpful, and leaves people feeling valued.

About the Role

This is a key supporter-facing role where you will:

• Be the friendly first point of contact for members and prospective members via phone, email, and other channels.

• Handle inbound and outbound calls, including proactively reaching out to members to address cancellations, encourage upgrades, or convert cash supporters into ongoing members.

• Maintain accurate supporter data, preferences, and interactions in Salesforce CRM.

• Collaborate with our Digital Marketing Officer, Data & CRM Officer, and Gifts in Wills Officer to nurture relationships and move supporters through their journey, ensuring that every member feels appreciated and connected to our mission.

• Support the Marketing and Communications team with occasional wider projects, such as campaigns, virtual or in-person events, or member engagement initiatives.

About You

We’re looking for someone who is:

• Compassionate and member-focused, with a genuine desire to make every interaction count.

• Highly organised and detail-oriented, able to manage multiple tasks and maintain accurate records.

• Confident and professional on the phone and in written communication.

• Comfortable with outbound calling — experience in telephone fundraising or supporter upgrade calling is desirable.

• Able to work both independently and as part of a team.

• Comfortable with technology, ideally with some experience using CRMs (Salesforce experience is a bonus).

• Experienced in supporter care, customer service, or a similar role (desirable but not essential).

• Aligned with AWIP’s mission, with a strong commitment to animal welfare and, ideally, a cruelty-free lifestyle.

• Able to maintain strict confidentiality at all times.

• Hours: 16 hours per week, Monday–Thursday, 10:00 AM – 2:00 PM

• Salary: £11,885.71 pro-rata (£26,000 FTE)

About the role

You’ll play a key role in a fast-paced volunteering team, which supports volunteering across the whole of Breast Cancer Now. You’ll be the first point of contact for volunteering enquiries, ensuring they are handled sensitively and efficiently over the phone and email.

You’ll also provide key administrative support to the volunteering team, assisting with survey design, advertising volunteering vacancies, and administration for training and events.

You’ll champion good record keeping and make sure all volunteering data is kept in top shape. You’ll be matching volunteers to opportunities that suit them, as well as using a range of online platforms to help recruit volunteers.

About you

This is a fixed-term role starting in October 2025 and ending in May 2026.

You’re enthusiastic, proactive and committed to providing excellent customer service. Detailed and person-focussed, you’ll really want to go the extra mile and can use your initiative to find solutions to enquiries. 

As well as being comfortable speaking and writing to a diverse range of people, you’ll have a head for detail. You’ll be as much at home working with databases and digital platforms as you’re with communicating with people over the phone and email. 

You’ll be committed to development, wanting to learn and grow as part of a high-performing volunteering team that’s passionate about making volunteering more accessible. 

You’ll ideally have some experience of working with or managing volunteers. But most important is your ability to work effectively with a range of people - whether that’s volunteers, colleagues, or supporters looking for a volunteer representative – to give them a great experience.

The Role

The organisation is a Christian think tank which seeks a world in which Christian ideas about human flourishing are drawn upon to answer some of the world’s biggest challenges. They stimulate debate about the place of religion in society, challenging and changing ideas through research, commentary and events.

As Researcher you will work on mixed–methods research projects (potentially on subjects including recent interest in faith amongst young people, motherhood, and Christian Nationalism). You will work with the team to conduct literature reviews, design interview guides and questionnaires, identify and contact interviewees, conduct and analyse interviews, work on data analysis, project report write-ups and presentations.

About You

We are looking for someone with an undergraduate degree in a relevant subject, proven ability to conduct in-depth interviews, some knowledge of quantitative research, excellent organisational and communication abilities, in particular to write research reports. You will also have an active interest and knowledge in the role of Christianity in contemporary Britain.

Job Purpose

We are looking for a passionate Engagement Manager to join our team. They will work as part of the national (and local London) Employee Volunteering team working with corporate clients and community partners, creating and delivering team and individual volunteering events.

· Research and deliver volunteering opportunities to meet the needs of specific client teams of volunteers, ensuring they are impactful and safe.

Having a regular presence in the locations where we are working with partners and individuals is essential for this role. Given the geographical spread of the working area, we are looking for somebody that lives and can travel across London & South West England.
