About the Role

Key Responsibilities

· Facilities Management: Oversee the day-to-day operation and maintenance of two environmental centre buildings, including minor repairs and coordinating contractors.

· Health & Safety Compliance: Support implementation of health and safety policies, including fire safety, first aid provision, and compliance monitoring.

· Contractor & Supplier Coordination: Manage relationships with external suppliers and contractors, ensuring value for money and sustainability.

· Asset & Equipment Oversight: Maintain asset registers, coordinate waste disposal, and ensure timely servicing or replacement of estate equipment.

· Security Management: Act as a keyholder, oversee site security, manage CCTV and alarm systems, and support emergency planning.

· Utilities & Financial Admin: Monitor utilities, provide meter readings, check bills, and manage petty cash systems.

· IT & AV Support: Provide basic troubleshooting or liaison with IT support and assist with AV setup for meetings and events.

· General Support & Representation: Assist with room setups, attend events, support Trust strategies, and act as a positive ambassador for the organisation.

About You

· Highly organised with excellent attention to detail

· Able to manage multiple priorities in a busy environment

· Confident using Microsoft Office, especially Excel and Outlook

· Strong communication skills and able to work independently

· Experience in the charity sector is desirable

Fundraising Coordinator

Bexley Deaf Centre (BDC) is a small and dynamic, well-established charity which has been serving the borough since 1994. Ovacome Support Services Officer, reporting to the Programmes Manager.

We’re looking for someone who is passionate about supporting those affected by ovarian cancer through a people-centred approach. You must be experienced in providing support services, well-organised and approachable. You will be an important member of our staff team.

Pay scale: £28,500 – £33,000 per year (full time), pro-rata if part time. All our salaries our benchmarked based on the requirements of the Role Description and comparable roles in the charity sector. Salaries are subject to an annual review; we also award an annual cost of living increase.

Hours: 21 hours (part time) to 35 hours (full time) per week, with flexibility around core operational hours. We offer flexible hours to accommodate caring responsibilities. Core hours of work are between 8.30am to 5.30pm. Wednesday is a core working day.

We are seeking a flexible, reliable, and enthusiastic Support Worker to deliver and develop services for Young Carers aged 5–16. The role involves three key parts. The first is delivering engaging, age-appropriate activities that promote wellbeing, reduce isolation, and give Young Carers a break from their responsibilities. The second is providing one-to-one support to help Young Carers manage challenges, access services, and prioritise their mental and emotional wellbeing. The third is leading outreach to identify and engage hidden Young Carers. 

About The Role: 

You will work across two key age groups, 5–11 and 12–16, delivering and supervising activities, supporting events and trips, and providing behavioural management where needed. Alongside group activities, you will offer one-to-one support to individual Young Carers, ensuring they feel heard, included, and supported as they navigate the challenges of their caring roles. You will also deliver awareness training sessions, run stalls, and build partnerships in the community to identify and engage Young Carers. 

This is a part-time post (3 days per week). The regular days will be Wednesday - Friday, However flexibility is required, with regular evening and occasional weekend work.

· Focus on breaking the cycle of abuse by offering targeted programs for children exposed to domestic abuse, providing them with the skills and support needed to overcome trauma and achieve their potential.

· Deliver age-appropriate workshops on topics such as healthy relationships, emotional resilience, and conflict resolution, equipping individuals with the tools to avoid abusive situations.

· To work in conjunction with adult support workers to assess the whole family and to provide appropriate support to adult survivors and their children.

· To develop and deliver a programme of activities and events to assist children in overcoming the negative effects of domestic abuse.

·  To act as an advocate for children, attending school, court and child protection case conferences where required.

Having established a strong fundraising capability and team with significant income growth over the last 4 years, Kidney Care UK is now looking for an exceptional Head of Fundraising to take the Charity to the next level.

Since LRU started campaigning for rent controls in 2024, we’ve secured the support of MPs, trade unions and charities, organised large demonstrations and pushed the issue of rising rents up the political agenda.

The purpose of this role is to work alongside members and other union staff to take our campaigning for rent controls to the next level through a combination of protests, local organising, coalition building and targeting of power holders, landlords and corporations. 

How we work at LRU

You will be part of the LRU staff team alongside 12 other staff, who work with members to build the power of the union by organising, campaigning, training and supporting peer support and member solidarity actions.  We expect staff to uphold the union's values, and work together to implement collectively agreed strategies.  The staff team are accountable to the elected member Coordinating Group.

Job description

• Support members to organise ambitious and effective actions and protests in support of rent controls.

• Leading on specific projects and campaigns as part of the Cut the Rent campaign and other campaign priorities decided by LRU members.  For example, if the campaigns committee decides to target a particular developer or politician as part of the wider Cut the Rent campaign.

• Working with the Union Coordinator and members to implement and track progress on the overall Cut the Rent strategy.

• Implementing organising approaches to ensure that the Cut the Rent campaigns builds the active membership and power of the union.

• Working alongside the Union Coordinator to represent LRU in external meetings and events, and help to build LRU’s relationships with other organisations.  Supporting members to do this.

• Ensure meetings of the Campaigns Committee are effective and well run.

• Work alongside members and other other staff to ensure branches participate in the Cut the Rent campaign, and feed into strategy.

• Contribute to the collective activity of the Organising Team, including taking part in phone banking and outreach sessions and team meetings.

• As time allows, work alongside other members of the staff Organising Team to support members outside of branch areas to participate in the Cut the Rent campaign.

As a Natural Heritage Officer you will be in a unique position to support the planning and delivery of nature conservation works, including securing a baseline understanding of natural heritage across our newest and largest wildlife reserve. 

About the Role 

You will work closely with the project team, the post holder will undertake practical conservation and reserve management tasks, carrying out standardised reserve checks (including access infrastructure and fence surveys and tree safety inspections) and delivering remedial works either directly or with contractors when appropriate. The role will also develop and deliver public engagement activities and volunteering opportunities such as volunteer work parties and citizen science events, to connect people with Inverbroom’s natural heritage.. 

About You 

You’ll bring: 

· Relevant degree or N/SVQ Level 3 / 4 or equivalent demonstrable experience relating to countryside management. 

· Certification to NPTC/Lantra standards and experience in chainsaw maintenance, cross cutting and felling small trees. CS 30 and 31 or willingness to undergo qualification. • Certification to NPTC/Lantra standards and experience in strimmer and brushcutter operations or willingness to undergo qualification. Certificate for trailer, all-terrain vehicles or willingness to undergo qualification. 

· 2 years of planning and delivering practical conservation work. 

· 2 years of volunteer supervision & management, including designing and delivering events &/or activities. 

· Demonstrable experience in the safe use and maintenance of hand and power tools. 

· Good understanding of land management for wildlife conservation. 

· Good natural history skills and a knowledge of the species and habitats found in Scotland. 

· Health & Safety legislation/procedures relating to outdoor working.

• Experience of the marketing or agency world would be an advantage

• Experience of managing people and events under pressure
