This position will involve fostering a motivated and engaged volunteer base, strategic oversight of our BUBR Africa initiative and conducting impact analysis of our activations. About the Degrees Initiative  

The Degrees Initiative is a UK-based NGO that builds the capacity of developing countries to evaluate solar radiation modification (SRM), a controversial proposal for reducing some impacts of climate change by reflecting sunlight away from the Earth. Degrees is neutral on whether SRM should ever be used, but we believe that developing countries should be empowered to conduct their own research and to play a central role in SRM discussions.  

Degrees’ programmatic work is centred on capacity-building through research grants and North–South and South-South collaboration schemes, outreach activities, and cross-cutting community-building. As part of this, Degrees runs workshops in the Global South that bring new voices into the SRM conversation, and our research funds support scientists and other experts in developing countries as they research what SRM could mean for their regions and become part of a global research community.

Vision of adventure, a small outdoor charity based in the Lake District , is seeking an experienced fundraiser to join our team. We specialise in working with people with visual impairments facilitating outdoor adventures, social connection and access to specialist coaching. To achieve this the organisation partners visually impaired individuals with sighted guides for residential weekends focusing on: long walks, canoeing, climbing, tandem biking, and more. The team comprises five part-time workers, numerous volunteers, and the board of trustees. We all work remotely, use each others first names, and have flexible scheduling.

The role of a fundraiser is paramount to our continued sustainability. You will be solely responsible for our fundraising initiatives. The charity has a commendable track record of raising funds, and you will be expected to surpass these targets as a professional fundraiser. An engagement officer will support your role by gathering feedback and preparing draft funder impact reports.

You will have extensive demonstrable fundraising experience. You will be personable, be an excellent communicator , make appropriate use of information communication technology, and capable of managing your own time and workload.

The National Fire Chiefs Council (NFCC) is seeking a proactive and skilled Media Officer to join our Communications and Public Affairs team. This is a newly created role, offering the opportunity to help shape and strengthen NFCC’s voice in the national conversation around fire and rescue services.

Reporting into the Media and External Affairs Manager, you will play a central role in growing our media presence and positioning NFCC as the go-to source for journalists covering national fire and rescue issues. You will help to ensure our messages are clear, timely, and authoritative across all platforms.

Join us and help ensure that fire and rescue services have a strong, consistent voice on the national stage.

Key responsibilities:

Serve as a point of contact for incoming media enquiries.

Draft high-quality, publication-ready communications content – including press releases, news articles, opinion pieces and other engaging content. 

Support NFCC’s campaigns and policy initiatives by securing media coverage and developing strong relationships with journalists and editors.

Take ownership of key communications tools and systems, including media monitoring and audit of coverage. 

Act as the lead Comms officer on at least one area of NFCC’s work in partnership with the relevant NFCC teams and lead officers (but will also work on a wide range of our issues and areas).

Participate in an out-of-hours communications rota as part of NFCC’s communication support function (with some out of hours support – see job description for more information).

Experience in a media, journalism or communications role. 

Excellent writing skills with the ability to produce accurate, compelling content under pressure. 

Confidence in handling media enquiries and building positive relationships with the press. 

Strong organisational skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities effectively.

Engagement & Social Media 

• Manage and monitor all online patient communities responding to community messages and comments with empathy and timeliness 

• Moderate relevant support online community groups, ensuring they are safe, active, and welcoming spaces 

• Identify themes and areas of interest to advocate internally for MSUK response to meeting community need 

• Signpost our Individual Support service, identify and flag individual enquiries to the Individual Support Lead

Shine’s Health Team 

Shine’s Health Team provides condition-specific health advice and support to people of all ages with spina bifida, hydrocephalus, NPH or IIH, promoting good self-management and enabling our members to live in optimum health.  The Team also aims to reduce the numbers of pregnancies affected by spina bifida and anencephaly through education around supplementation and fortification with folic acid, and other measures. 

Purpose of Job 

The Shine Nurse Specialist will deliver services and create resources to improve the health of Shine’s members, by informing members, their carers and professionals 

Principal Duties 

• To provide ad hoc advice to Shine’s members, their carers  and professionals on complex health issues, and signpost to NHS services 

• To attend and represent Shine at the Chelsea & Westminster Spina Bifida Clinic

• To collect information, statistics and research from a variety of sources to inform Shine’s health projects 

• To create resources to inform and support members’ health 

• To develop training/information resources for professionals

About the role

We’re looking for a Fundraising Engagement Manager with great personality and team ethic to join our Regional Fundraising team.

Your team of supporters will range from volunteers and individuals, to groups and local corporates.

Introduction to the Role

We are seeking a results-driven Development and Fundraising Officer to lead our grant applications, trust initiatives, and donor engagement efforts. In this international role, you will work closely with our team to create compelling proposals, coordinate fundraising events, and secure essential funding. Reporting directly to the Interim Director, you will play a vital role in shaping our fundraising strategy while working within a flexible, remote environment.

Core Responsibilities

1. Grant & trust applications

You will drive the research, development, and management of grant applications and trust funding. Your role involves identifying funding opportunities that align with Hong Kong Watch’s mission and preparing detailed proposals that secure essential resources for our projects.

2. Fundraising campaigns & donor engagement

In this responsibility, you will design and execute targeted fundraising campaigns and events. You will work to cultivate and maintain relationships with individual donors, trusts, and institutional funders, ensuring a consistent flow of financial support that underpins our advocacy and community work.

3. Coordination & communications

This responsibility centres on effective internal collaboration and external representation. You will coordinate with our communications teams to ensure consistent messaging, manage donor communications, and report on the impact of our fundraising efforts.

Key Tasks

• Research and application development:
  Identify suitable grant opportunities, trusts, and philanthropic funding sources both in the UK and internationally. You will draft, refine, and submit proposals that reflect Hong Kong Watch’s strategic priorities, ensuring compliance with each funder’s requirements.

• Campaign strategy and event coordination:
  Develop integrated fundraising campaigns in collaboration with our communications team. This includes planning virtual and in-person events, managing donor appreciation sessions, and ensuring that each campaign aligns with our overall mission and values.

• Donor relationship management:
  Build and nurture relationships with a diverse range of funders. This task involves regular communication, organising meetings and presentations, and providing clear, detailed impact reports that demonstrate the effectiveness of our initiatives.

• Internal collaboration and reporting:
  Work closely with the operations team to ensure that all fundraising efforts are fully aligned. You will attend monthly strategy meetings, coordinate updates, and produce comprehensive reports on campaign performance and donor engagement.

• Digital and social media integration:
  Collaborate with the communications team to create engaging online content that supports fundraising efforts. This includes drafting newsletters, managing social media updates, and developing digital materials that promote events and initiatives.

• Monitoring, evaluation, and strategic review:
  Continuously track key fundraising metrics and donor engagement levels. You will evaluate the success of fundraising initiatives, adjust strategies as needed, and prepare strategic reviews that inform future plans and objectives.

Parentsactive CIC is the parent/carer forum for Hammersmith and Fulham and works to empower parent/carers of children and young people with special educational needs and disabilities (SEND) from birth through to adults.

We are delighted to be recruiting a Co-production Coordinator to work alongside our parents and carers of young disabled adults to ensure they have meaningful opportunities to inform and influence strategic and operational developments across Hammersmith and Fulham that will lead to a better future for them and their young person.

The Co-production Coordinator will support the coordination of a range of activities designed to increase coproduction across the borough’s health, education and social care systems.

The successful candidate will be passionate about coproduction and ensuring the voice of people with lived experience is heard. They will have strong skills in working collaboratively with a wide range of people including families, statutory and third sector partners. Key Responsibilities:

Develop a network of food businesses with the aim of establishing and embedding healthy and sustainable practices and values.

• Be the food alliance’s main point of contact for Liverpool’s social, small and medium enterprises in the food sector. 

• Arrange and facilitate regular meetings to understand the challenges and priorities of the sector and how the food alliance can support them. 

• Work with existing partners to develop a Good Food Business Charter, and support other local food enterprises to become network members and adopt the principles set out in the charter. 

Develop relationships with stakeholders within the food system to support the creation of shorter and more value based supply chains. 

• Alongside key stakeholders, develop a shared definition of what ‘local food’ is, taking into account the capacity of the local supply chain and the needs of procurers.

• Work alongside local food system ‘actors’ to establish connections between procurers and the local supply chain, and identify barriers that require mitigation. 

• Support innovative ways to support local, value based supply chains taking effect. 

• Provide support for both established and newly developed local food access initiatives — including markets, food hubs, and community retail schemes — that enhance community access to healthy and sustainable food.

We are a volunteer-run, non-profit Community Interest Company (CIC) looking to hire an Operations Lead on a 6-month contract with a view to becoming our first permanent, employed member of staff.
