Dementia UK is the specialist dementia nurse charity and their nurses, known as Admiral Nurses, who they continually support and develop, provide life-changing care for families affected by all forms of dementia – including Alzheimer’s disease.

As the Challenge Events Executive, you will coordinate a portfolio of third-party challenge events that drive participation and income. You’ll be responsible for the end-to-end coordination of all challenge events within your portfolio – delivering marketing plans that drive participant numbers, and stewardship journeys that provide excellent supporter experiences and maximise income.

They are looking for someone with demonstrable experience of coordinating fundraising events or campaigns. The ideal candidate will have an understanding of effective marketing channels and techniques for driving participation in challenge events, particularly via digital channels.

About Pancreatic Cancer Action:

Pancreatic Cancer Action (PCA) was founded in 2010 by a rare survivor of the disease. We are a small, creative and passionate team committed to improving early diagnosis and saving lives. In August 2020, Pancreatic Cancer Action merged with Pancreatic Cancer Scotland making our team stronger than ever. 

Pancreatic cancer has only a 7% survival rate and this figure has not improved significantly for over 50 years. Despite it being the 5th biggest cancer killer in the UK, pancreatic cancer receives only 3% of overall research funding. 

With a strong focus on early diagnosis, it is Pancreatic Cancer Action’s aim to improve survival rates through raising awareness, medical education, improved patient information and by funding research specifically into the early diagnosis of pancreatic cancer. Simply put, we want more people diagnosed in time for surgery, currently the only potential for a cure.

Main responsibilities:  

• Develop and grow the annual programme of fundraising events such as the London Marathon and Great North Run.
• Grow and steward a pipeline of new and existing community and events audiences and fundraising opportunities with a particular focus on England. Ensuring to always maintain the highest quality supporter journey.
• Manage the delivery of the virtual challenge events. Add insight and support the annual Pancreatic Awareness Month Campaign and help to further develop Pyjama’s for Pan Can to new audiences.
• As a senior member of the Income Generation Team you will contribute to robust financial planning, management and reporting of income and expenditure in your own areas of expertise.
• Responsible for the delivery and recruitment into PCA’s Challenge Events programme making sure participants receive exceptional supporter care.
• Develop compelling and engaging third party fundraising materials to inspire supporters to reach their maximum fundraising targets.
• Contribute to the development of automated and integrated supporter journey and engagement plans with the support of the Head of Income Generation to ensure a consistent and efficient supporter experience.
• Seek out engagement opportunities to support donor acquisition and retention utilising new and existing channels and platforms.

• Attending when necessary, external events, conferences and exhibitions across the UK and being the face of Pancreatic Cancer Action, acknowledging that some of these may involve overnight stays and weekends.

Income and targets

• Help to grow Pancreatic Cancer Action’s income from community and challenge event fundraisers.
• Develop ongoing stewardship journey for Community/DIY Fundraisers and increase average gift though exceptional supporter care.
• Achieve Financial and non-financial targets and KPI’s from corporate and community fundraising as agreed with the Head of Income Generation.
• Monitor and control allocated fundraising budgets and regularly update the Head of Income Generation.
• Prepare and monitor reporting for all online fundraising platforms to fit with our accounting systems reporting this to the Head of Income Generation monthly.
• Contribute to Pancreatic Cancer Action’s fundraising strategy.

The Supporter Experience team at Shelter exists to provide expert stewardship to build deep long-term relationships, enhancing the supporter experience to drive income now and increase lifetime values. About the role

About you

Communicating with a variety of people: you will enjoy communicating with people in a variety of different ways, over the phone, face to face, by email, letter and over social media channels.

Time management & organisation: there’s a lot to do, particularly when we have fundraising products live and during the busy winter fundraising period, so it’s important to be able to manage your time well. The team has a really positive collective attitude to helping you do this, and they will suggest different tools and methods to stay on top of your work. But your being organised from the get-go is important.

Attention to detail: in all tasks, you will need to have a good eye for detail to make sure work is completed with a high level of accuracy.

Proactive: there are many activities to get involved with at Shelter, so being proactive ensures you get as much from your role as possible. Within your role you need to take initiative in setting up meetings, asking questions and suggesting/trying new ideas. Beyond this, taking advantage of volunteering in our shops or at events, and visiting local Shelter Hubs, is a great way to understand the cause and sector.

Willingness to be busy: everyone in the team has lots to do and has a range of responsibilities across different areas. To be successful in this role, you need to be willing to be busy during the working day and enjoy the variety this brings.

Flexibility: as this role will support work across the wider Community & Events team throughout the year, it is vital that the successful candidate is adaptable and willing to get stuck into different activities when needed. There will be occasional evening and weekend work to support events, for which time off in lieu will be given.

At The Compassionate Friends (TCF) we are passionate about providing peer support to grieving parents and their families whose son or daughter has died at any age (from one month old to an adult) and from any cause. We offer this support through our network of over 300 dedicated volunteers who are themselves bereaved parents or siblings. We are now seeking an Events & Community Fundraiser to join our small, but dedicated and hardworking, staff team to help us to develop our funding to continue our vital work. Role Purpose

The main purpose of the programmes team is to grow, develop and deliver all aspects of the day-to-day relationship management of:

· Schools and colleges running the Career Ready programme

Each Regional Manager is responsible for a local patch which currently typically consists of 5-6 schools or colleges, up to 100 students and 4-5 operational relationships with our corporate partners. Regional Managers will also be responsible for building and maintaining a local network of employer supporters and seeking opportunities for new employer support ..

There will be opportunities to be creative, as well as being autonomous in how you run and develop the programme with the Career Ready schools and colleges in your area.

Main responsibilities and accountabilities

Centre Management and Student Support

· You will work 1:1 with our community of school/college coordinators in your region to support them in delivering the programme. This will require regular meetings and communication, to support coordinators with the planning and managing of masterclasses, workplace visits and other Career Ready events for students and volunteers

· Regularly communicate and report to the Head of Programmes  

· Execute our strategy across the region

· Support schools and colleges in programme onboarding (students and mentors) and delivery of paid internships

· From time to time there may be a need to deliver sessions to skills and careers leads and to groups of young people within the school and college setting

· Recruit new schools and colleges to the network from the region in accordance with priority target areas. Manage their induction, training, activities prior to launch and implementation of the Career Ready programme

· Assist schools and colleges on our programmes to plan, manage and run events (i.e. icebreakers, launches, or student promotion sessions) and be prepared to present at such events.

Partnership Management, Stakeholder Engagement & Business Development

· Day-to-day operational account management for employer supporters, ensuring they have excellent experiences.

· Full partnership and operational account management for lower-level funders in your region.

· Promote the contribution of Career Ready and awareness of Career Ready to potential supporters and assist in engaging their commitment to give both practical and financial support

· Engaging new corporate, third and public sector organisations to directly support the programme delivery, working with the Head of Programmes to ensure your Regional Action Board supports you (develop a great relationship with them, set and agree targets and meet with Chair regularly).

· Develop and deliver the overall employer engagement strategy for the area ensuring that the number of mentors (one for each student participating) is matched with the paid internship commitment and that employer volunteers are in place for masterclass delivery and workplace visits.

This Includes:

o Promoting Career Ready to potential supporters, engaging their commitment.

o Management of relationships with employer supporters through regular 'keeping in touch'.

o Directly pursuing a prioritised list of prospect funders in your region in line with our organisational strategy. This work will be supported by Partnership Managers and Head of Programmes  

o Using our SME Internship Investment Fund, seek small and medium sized businesses to provide a mentor and host an intern, seeking as much match funding as possible (e.g., we pay for 1 internship and you pay for 1; 50% of internship funded_

o Support engagement, experience and deliver on the programme commitments to corporate partners in your area.

o Support the Head of Programmes and Partnership Manager with programme reporting requirements specific to corporate partners, trusts and foundations

General

Role purpose

The purpose of this role is to lead, develop and deliver WorldSkills UK’s external Equity, Diversity, and Inclusion (ED&I) programmes supported by stakeholder engagement strategies across our network of industry, education and government. The role will ensure that we engage external stakeholders to help deliver our ambition to be a leader, partner and ally in creating positive change for ED&I in the skills sector.

Key tasks and responsibilities

1. Deliver positive action activity for change:

• Support the development and delivery of WorldSkills UK’s external ED&I strategy. Ensure it is fit for purpose, has recognised long term goals and will deliver measurable change, reflecting organisational priorities around increased engagement with ethnic minority groups and females. Provide an overarching framework and help further develop strategic KPIs for our ED&I work, ensuring effective use of data, monitoring progress and performance.
• Work with the Senior Strategic Partnerships Manager to develop action plans that will drive our continuous improvement:
  • Support our skills competition development programmes to increase the diversity of young people engaged
  • Support the development of role models to showcase the impact of our work and encourage diversity in key areas of industry, including future priority skill areas
  • Support the development of learning resources that aid engagement with underrepresented groups
  • Support teams to ensure ED&I matters are considered and addressed as key components of all strategies, plans and programmes.

2. Manage the ED&I Advisory Group:

• This is a unique opportunity to work with experienced and prominent senior individuals from across education and industry who are invested in driving the agenda for ED&I.
• Lead the administration and ongoing development of our Equity, Diversity and Inclusion (EDI) Advisory Group.
• Engage the Group to help support, advise and challenge WorldSkills UK on its actions to remove obstacles and barriers faced by young people from under-represented backgrounds in our programmes.
• Report regularly to the Group on progress against KPI’s and facilitate reports for the WorldSkills UK Board.

3. Project Manage the ED&I Heroes Awards

• The Awards is an established flagship event which provides a platform for WorldSkills UK to celebrate success with its partners, amplify best practice and inspire others to drive change across the skills systems in education and business.
• Project manage delivery of the annual Equity, Diversity, and Inclusion Heroes Awards, supported by relevant internal teams
  • Establish the nominations process
  • Co-ordinate the judging panel
  • Organise the awards ceremony
  • Manage the support of the awards partners.

4. Manage strategic relationships

• Manage a portfolio of ED&I focused Strategic Partnerships with organisations from across the skills sector, facilitating their support and engagement with our EDI programmes.
• Grow our network of partners to widen our reach, help further drive work in this area and collectively impact on the sector.
• Advise and support the development of the CEO’s international activities on ED&I with WorldSkills International (WSI).

5. Raise the profile of WorldSkills UK’s ED&I work:

• Work with teams across the organisation to support our Mission to ignite a national and global movement to help more young people, regardless of their background, get the best possible start in work and life.
• Support the Senior Strategic Partnerships Manager and Marketing and Communications Team to showcase the impact of our programmes:
  • Help to externally profile and articulate the value and impact of our activities using the channels and tools available
  • Seek opportunities to advocate for our work through stakeholder engagement and networking
  • Support the Corporate Partnerships team to identify and secure commercial income related to our ED&I initiatives.

6. Internal ED&I Liaison:

• Whilst not responsible for WorldSkills UK’s internal ED&I activities and agenda it is anticipated that the post holder will spend up to 10% of their time supporting and working with the Corporate Affairs team on internal ED&I matters, with the remaining 90% spent on external work.
• It is not essential that the postholder has extensive experience in this area.

JOB PURPOSE 

UK for UNHCR, the UN Refugee Agency's national charity partner, is looking for an ambitious and proactive Corporate Partnerships Manager to join the Private Partnerships & Philanthropy team. 

In this exciting role, you will lead on the management of a number of our existing and new relationships with companies to create and grow mutually beneficial, multi-year partnerships, playing a key part in the success of our annual fundraising programme. You will enjoy developing strong relationships and have excellent communication and problem- solving skills. You will line manage the PPH Coordinator, with responsibility for managing performance and supporting their development.

This role is predominately an account management post, with some new business development.

ROLE RESPONSIBLITIES 

• Lead on the management of a number of high value strategic corporate partnerships, liaising across departments and virtual teams to monitor, evaluate and report on progress against partnership KPIs, targets, activities and budgets.
