Women V Cancer is a unique partnership between Dream Challenges, Breast Cancer Now and Ovarian Cancer Action. Together, we have raised more than £20 million in fundraising across a portfolio of one day mass participation cycling events and overseas multi-day cycling challenges.
The partnership has big aspirations for growth and is looking for someone to join as a Fundraising and Partnerships Officer with key responsibilities in relationship management across the partners, reporting and analysis, events marketing, and participant stewardship.
The right candidate will be a self-driven and experienced fundraiser, whose knowledge of marketing strategies in fundraising and events, alongside an impactful supporter journey, can enable the development and growth of this long-standing partnership. You will have experience of the charity sector, event delivery, and social media marketing.
Key Areas
Marketing and stewardship
- Increase participant numbers on events through comprehensive and diverse marketing campaigns.
- Assist in digital advertising of events including creations of social media campaigns and PPC.
- Assisting in maintenance and digital creation on the branded WVC microsite.
- Develop the partnerships first user-generated video content campaigns, and influencer campaigners, alongside the group Digital Marketing Manager.
- Assist with automated journeys from lead generation marketing.
- Assist with social media channels and assist in creating social media marketing.
- Create and send email marketing campaigns.
- Deliver stewardship journeys of registered participants on events.
- Increase the average fundraising raised per participant.
- Increase engagement and communications across relevant social media groups.
Relationship management
- Build strong relationships with all three parties and represent key stakeholder interests both internally and externally.
- Understand each individual partner’s ways of working, their individual tone of voice and organisational visions and ensure these are implemented across the partnership.
- Coordinate project groups, communications and meetings, working with various teams within all parties to plan and schedule activities.
Reporting and analysis
- Work with the Marketing team and representatives from each of the charities to undertake campaign reporting, as well as post-event analysis including, but not limited to, audience insight and feedback, engagement and attendance rates, and fundraising per participant.
- Establishing a clear payment schedule for both sides for marketing contributions and donations.
- Track performance including registration numbers and income – reporting back to all parties.
- Undertake analysis work to improve understanding of current audience demographics and their interests, reviewing this regularly to ensure accuracy.
- Undertake regular competitor analysis work to scope trends and gaps in the marketplace – looking at how we benchmark ourselves against our competitors.
- Support on the strategic planning devised by all partners, providing insight learnt from the portfolio and audience analysis to help shape this.
General
- Keep up to date with sector knowledge to ensure best practice.
- Identify new trends and scope out new product development.
- Support all elements of event delivery (including volunteer recruitment, training weekends), attending UK and overseas events when required.
- Help identify and build relationships with relevant celebrities or influencers to contribute to the Women V Cancer marketing strategy
- Work alongside charity partners to develop supporter journeys for a series of UK and Overseas events which will increase conversion, average gift and retention.

Personal Specification
Essential:
- Strong project management skills: a logical and thorough planner with the determination to see tasks through to completion.
- Experience in charity stewardship and increasing fundraising on live events.

Vehicles for Change (T/A RevoLOOtion) is a thriving charity founded in 2018 providing fully accessible mobile toilets to festivals, shows, outdoor events and sporting fixtures across the UK.
This is a vital support service for those with disabilities and serious health conditions to participate in events that would be difficult or impossible to attend otherwise.
The Chief Executive Officer will work to deliver the vision, mission and strategic goals of organisation alongside the Trustee Board.

About the RSS and this role

About the role
As part of this exciting role, you will be responsible for successfully planning and delivering our UK campaigns. You’ll achieve this by leading a dedicated team to develop integrated strategies across multiple areas, managing campaign budgets and coordinating political and public engagement efforts. This job will be based at our gorgeous Bath Farm, which also acts as the charity’s HQ. The successful candidate will need to be at the Bath Farm at least two days a week. This role will involve regular travel in order to build connections with potential partners and to develop relationships with all of our farms. It will also involve attendance at conferences and events, to help raise our profile.
About Jamie’s Farm
Jamie’s Farm is a charity which helps young people to flourish at home, in education and in the community through an intensive weeklong immersion in rural life. During a busy residential stay, young people help us run large working livestock farms and tackle many challenging and unfamiliar jobs, designed to offer everyone an opportunity for achievement, thereby building their self-esteem and confidence. They live in a supportive family environment that encourages them to push themselves out of their comfort zone. Our therapeutic input makes use of individual and group sessions to allow children to reflect on their lives on the farm and back home, to draw out tangible strategies for improvements to be realised when they return home.
Our programme is shown to have long term positive impacts on the lives of the young people we support. At the end of their visit, 66% of all young people showed improved mental wellbeing. Six weeks after their visit, of those with concerning attendance, 67% were no longer of concern. Six months after their visit, of those previously at risk of permanent exclusion, 64% were no longer at risk. These dramatic changes are only possible through the combined efforts of the entire Jamie’s Farm team.
Partnerships Manager Role
Jamie’s Farm is quickly growing to help meet the increasing needs of young people from around the UK. The legacy of the pandemic, increasing mental health challenges and the cost-of-living crisis are all causing more children than ever to need the support of programmes like ours. Our existing farms are all full to capacity and booked many months ahead. As part of our strategic plan, we wish to grow our capacity and expand our geographical presence so that we can help more children, from more communities, during the second decade of Jamie’s Farm’s history.
The Partnerships Manager plays a crucial role in the next phase of Jamie’s Farm’s growth. Our new farm in Skipton opened its doors to young people for day visits in April 2023 and is currently undergoing development as another residential farm. We have also just purchased a second farm near Bath, which is currently being developed. Combined, these two sites will allow us to work with another 80 partners and support almost 1,000 more young people every year.
The Partnerships Manager’s principal task will be finding and developing these new partnerships. This will involve building relationships with schools, local authorities, academy chains and other charities around the country, sharing the benefits of a Jamie’s Farm programme and supporting them to make a visit possible. The Partnerships Manager will also work closely with other members of the HQ team to develop and expand other earned income streams, all of which are used to directly subsidise our groups of visiting young people.

The Café forms part of a central hub, housing a daytime café for the community and an after-school Youth Café that connects vulnerable young people to positive and inspiring role-models from their community, empowering and inspiring them to become active citizens in their community. The space is used for two similar, but distinct purposes and excellent working relationships between these are essential. This role is responsible for the daytime café and related income generating activities.
An initiative of the Matrix Trust, our café has built an excellent reputation, with the vision to provide a space for local people to retreat to, where they will find a friendly welcome and an opportunity to give back to the community. Key elements include: quality coffee, delicious healthy food, a calm but welcoming environment, and an eco-friendly, low waste ethos.
The Café is open 5 days a week, 8:30am to 3pm on Tuesday to Friday and 10am to 3pm on Saturdays.
Day-to-Day Responsibilities
● Oversee the efficient daily operation of the café, ensuring high standards and excellent customer service.
● Engage customers, take and serve orders, and drive sales.
● Ensure all health & safety and food safety standards are met.
● Maintain a clean, welcoming, and friendly environment for customers.
● Manage stock levels, place supply orders, and handle cash management, including cashing up and reporting till adjustments.
● Develop and maintain a visually inviting space with up-to-date menus and quality food offerings.
● Implement and follow food rotation and waste management procedures to minimise waste and maximise margins.
● Utilise and develop methods that encourage repeat business.
● Secure the café at the end of the shift.

Café Development

● Identify areas for development that will drive the business forward, keeping abreast of new concepts and ideas in the industry.

● Collaborate with marketing and business development to create promotional strategies, including social media campaigns.
Building and Event Management
● Liaise with the Head of Operations about any building maintenance issues.
● Promote the hireable spaces and arrange events that enhance the café’s offerings.
● Encourage use of the café by local groups such as creatives, book clubs, parents etc.
● Manage café events, ensuring the team sets up the space as required and that the hirers are properly looked after.
● Coordinate with local businesses and community organisations for partnerships and events.
General and Wider Charity Involvement
● Be a proactive part of the wider Matrix team, getting involved in projects that benefit the mission of Matrix, such as fundraising activities or team projects.
● Ensure knowledge of current Matrix projects and their impact.

We are now looking for a Senior Legal Manager to build our work on strategic legal interventions to help drive sustainable finance flows and systems across our sectoral focus areas. Our objective is to use legal levers to ensure that finance flows are directed to projects and activities that are aligned with a 1.5°C pathway. By using the law, we believe we can effect change in the operation of financial markets, bringing about systemic change in the activities and operations of these sectors.
What’s the role?
Reporting to Opportunity Green’s Legal Director, you will be leading our sustainable finance legal interventions, with an initial focus on the aviation and shipping sectors, and you will be responsible for developing our sustainable finance workstream.
You will be joining at an exciting time, as the team takes forward various legal actions and looks to develop new interventions. You will be working at the cutting edge of climate law in new and emerging areas, and will be required to identify and develop strategic legal action ideas that could help to drive change across the full legal lifecycle, from delivering policy-level change, to crystallizing the financial risk of investment in inadequate climate action, to shifting the investment profile of ineffective transition activities through bringing corporate accountability and greenwashing actions.
You will be responsible for the day-to-day development and running of cases and other non-contentious legal actions, including coordination with external counsel where relevant. You will also work closely with a wide range of NGOs with technical, scientific, and campaigning expertise.
We are particularly interested in applications from those with a background in financial law and litigation.
Our legal team is already achieving outsized impact with a great team spirit. We are looking for someone who is analytical and organised, but who is also a people person with great communication skills, a collaborative approach and a passion for fighting climate change. The Ageing Well Functional Fitness MOT project is aimed at supporting mild to moderately frail residents of the Frognal area of Bexley with falls prevention, improvement of functional wellness and to provide signposting for sessions to enhance functional fitness within this defined area. The project will be working to engage with people who may be experiencing health challenges but are not accessing support, therefore engaging with them prior to a crisis.
