- Monitoring the work of other bodies, such as the Council for Christian Unity, to help identify areas of overlap and ensure ongoing collaboration, as well as with the Digital Team (relevant web pages on the Church of England site, social media and distribution of electronic and printed documents).

About Unlocked
Unlocked Graduates exists to break cycles of reoffending, with particular focus on breaking the link between disadvantage and reoffending. Currently prison is not a place which successfully does this: the average prisoner has 16 previous convictions and 48 percent of prisoners reoffend within a year of release. Unlocked Graduates exists to fix this problem. Our mission is to break cycles of re-offending by developing outstanding individuals to lead rehabilitation in prisons and throughout society.
The role
Interns are an invaluable part of our Programme team, which sits at the heart of the design and delivery of the Unlocked Graduates programme. The key project deliverable for this role is Summer Institute (SI), a 6-week training programme for our new cohort of prison officers. The successful candidates will work with the team in Leeds to deliver SI, gaining broad experience in event coordination and project management. You will have the opportunity to get involved with a huge range of activities over the summer that will help train and develop exceptional prison officers.
For July and August the role will mainly be based at Leeds Trinity University, during which time your work pattern may vary and time off in lieu will be agreed in advance for extended work days or weekend work. Accommodation will be provided for this period and you will be able to expense travel on weekends to return home.
Key accountabilities
SI preparation
- Supporting the delivery team with final planning preparations for SI
- Supporting the set-up of the training spaces in Leeds, including organisation of training equipment and materials
- Managing relationships and liaising with suppliers to confirm final details for SI
During SI
- Supporting day-to-day logistics of SI ensuring training runs smoothly, including management of session equipment and paperwork, recording of sessions, etc.
- Co-ordination, delivery and organisation of resources and training materials
- Supporting the Programme Team to track and manage participant absences and written feedback, escalating to senior staff when necessary
- Ensuring a welcoming and comfortable environment for participants and staff, acting as key point of contact including managing programme phone and inbox

- Managing relationships and liaising with suppliers to ensure smooth delivery

We are seeking a Fundraising Assistant at York Minster Fund for an initial fixed term contract of 12 months, commencing summer 2024. This part time, flexible role will support our team in administrative and fundraising tasks across a range of exciting activities and events, helping to raise funds for the Minster’s ongoing work.
Our ideal candidate will be a positive, enthusiastic and confident communicator across different groups of people and keen to gain experience across projects and events. York Minster Fund is the lead fundraising partner for York Minster. We are an independent organisation, with a separate board of Trustees, who work closely with colleagues across the Cathedral to secure income for a number of much needed projects and programmes of work. Established in 1967, as an emergency response to an urgent restoration project, we secure funds from charitable foundations, major and corporate donors, legacy donors, individuals and events.
Our funds provide much needed income for a wide range of projects, including the fabric and repair of the iconic Minster itself, the training of apprentices in traditional heritage crafts and strategic initiatives such as the realisation of the Minster's new international Centre of Excellence for Heritage Skills and Estate Management.
In the last year we have built on existing strong fundraising relationships and techniques to explore new ways of engaging donors and digital audiences and this is an exciting time to join the Fund as we move forward on a number of major projects. We are looking for a vibrant outward thinking and dynamic Project Co-ordinator who is self motivated and can work with minimal supervision on an exciting project that will provide evidence and information for future funding applications.
Overall Purpose of the role:
The Project Co-ordinator will be responsible for liaison with the Project Team and consultants on the delivery of a number of studies and activities as part of a National Lottery Heritage Fund award.
Key Tasks and Responsibilities:
Role Specific
· New Jetty Project
- Lead on the New Jetty Project reporting to the Project Manager/Assistant Project Manager
- Revising project work plans for the Jetty Project as appropriate, to meet changing needs and requirements with Management Team.
- Business Plan and Feasibility Study
- Supporting Project Manager and Assistant Project Manager on managing the day-to-day operational aspects of The National Lottery Heritage Fund resilience project.
- Ensuring the Management Team keeps to schedules and agreed project plan.
- Collect and organise data that is required for Management Team and Consultants
- Monitor expenses ensuring budgets are not overspent.
- Keeping details of all budgets.
· To create and maintain a log of work records, in an agreed way, ensuring all tasks are undertaken within pre defined time parameters
· Maintaining an online filing system for all elements of work plan
· Scheduling and attending meetings where required.
· Being the key point of contact for The National Lottery Heritage Fund
· Manage own diary and annualised hours contract.
· Update Social Media as requested.
General:
· Be proactive in identifying and reporting all activities.
Key Skills
• 1-3 years’+ experience within a project coordinator, or junior project co-ordinator role
• Experience in multitasking with and managing multiple projects.
• Attention to detail for ensuring the project meets all the business' standards and goals.
• Strong administrative skills
• Excellent interpersonal, communication and influencing skills.
• Passion to go above and beyond for the work of The Steam Tug Brent Trust
• MS Office experience (vital) including Word; Excel; PowerPoint.
• Canva; Photoshop and other similar apps
• Use of Social media
• Attention to detail with analytical/statistical analysis skills.
• Familiarity with boats and/or Maldon waterfront desirable
Any other duties:
· Undertake other such duties as may be reasonably required from time to time including support of the Trust’s programme of events and activities.
