TPP Recruitment is supporting a well-established awarding organisation to recruit an External Quality Assurer – Security. This is a key appointment within their quality and regulation function, supporting centres delivering SIA licence-linked qualifications. Due to the specialist nature of the role, applications from experienced and credible EQAs within the security sector are particularly welcomed.
Salary: £35,505 per annum
Employment type: Permanent
Working arrangements: Remote with travel to centres (mainly focused in the London, Manchester and Birmingham areas)
Working pattern: Full-time, 37 hours per week

The organisation is a recognised awarding body working closely with approved centres to ensure qualifications are delivered to a consistently high standard and in line with regulatory requirements. Quality, compliance and continuous improvement sit at the heart of their work, particularly within SIA licence-linked provision.
About the Role
Reporting to the Lead External Quality Assurer (Security), you will play a central role in maintaining quality and regulatory compliance across approved centres delivering security qualifications.
Your work will directly support safe, effective training and assessment, ensuring learners are properly prepared to work within the security sector.
Key Responsibilities
- Conducting robust external quality assurance activity across approved centres delivering SIA licence-linked qualifications
- Carrying out centre visits, audits and sampling of learner evidence
- Producing clear, accurate and timely EQA reports, identifying strengths and areas for improvement
- Providing guidance and support to centres on assessment practice, compliance and regulatory requirements
- Supporting standardisation activity and continuous improvement initiatives
- Contributing to malpractice investigations where required
- Maintaining sector competence through ongoing CPD and engagement with regulatory updates
Skills / Experience Required
- Qualified External Quality Assurer, or working towards EQA/TAQA (or equivalent)
- Occupational competence within the security sector, including frontline experience or delivery of security-licensed training
- Strong knowledge of SIA licence-linked qualifications
- Recent experience carrying out EQA activity within a regulated environment
- Confident report writer with excellent attention to detail
- Comfortable working independently, managing your own workload and travel

The Opportunity
We are looking for a strategic and dedicated individual to lead The Humane League UK’s operations – setting direction, delivering ambitious campaigns, and ensuring alignment with global priorities, while working with our high-performing, mission-driven team.
As a visible and influential leader, you will represent The Humane League UK externally, building partnerships, influencing corporate and public policy, and strengthening our reputation as a leader in animal advocacy.
You will also work closely with the global leadership team, Board, staff, and partners. The Managing Director will be the driving force behind The Humane League UK’s strategy and impact.
You will lead an organisation that is bold, strategic, and outcomes-focused, capable of driving systemic change and accelerating progress towards a more humane food system.
About You

The International Director leads the International Office and works across a global network of supporting and implementing members. The role combines spiritual leadership, global influence and organisational direction to deliver the 2025 - 2030 strategy.
Key responsibilities
- Lead the global delivery of the Fellowship’s strategy, ensuring measurable impact for people affected by leprosy.
- Strengthen collaboration, capacity and unity across diverse international members and partners.
- Grow sustainable income and expand partnerships with multilateral agencies and global networks.
- Lead the International Office team and oversee global financial stewardship and governance, including members without a local board.
- Champion the voice and participation of people affected by leprosy across the Fellowship and globally.
