About The Role

We’re looking for a creative, proactive and digitally savvy Social Media and Content Assistant to join our Communications team. You’ll support the planning, creation and delivery of engaging content across our social media channels, with a particular focus on Instagram and TikTok.

You’ll be responsible for creating content that helps the organisation achieve our marketing objectives, which are:

• Inspire inclusive practices among projects and professionals working with young people in music.
• Build the credibility of Youth Music among young creatives.
• Grow awareness of Youth Music as the leading voice on young people and music.
• Demonstrate the impact of Youth Music’s work and partnerships.
• Support the organisation in achieving our ambitious fundraising goals.

You’ll be line managed by the Digital Marketing Manager and will work closely with the Digital Content Lead.

About You

This role is ideal for someone who lives and breathes social media, loves spotting trends, and has a passion for storytelling that spotlights the work of young people amnd grassroots projects.

Key Responsibilities

• Spot and recreate viral trends, adapting them into engaging content for Youth Music’s audiences.
• Confidently use TikTok and Instagram features, trending sounds, and best practices to boost reach and engagement.
• Support in planning, creating, editing and scheduling content (Reels, TikToks, Stories, carousels, graphics, blogs).
• Capture and share content from live events, including NextGen community events, festivals, and project visits (occasional evenings and weekends required)
• Oversee our social media channels on your working days, monitoring all channels (TikTok, Instagram, Threads, Facebook, YouTube and LinkedIn) and liaising with the Digital Content Lead to ensure that messages and comments are responded to promptly and appropriately.
• Contribute ideas for campaigns and activations that highlight Youth Music’s impact and opportunities.
• Craft unique copy for multiple channels and formats across campaigns, business documents and owned media.
• Support the preparation and running of content shoots, from planning to on-the-day assistance.
• Research trends, youth culture and peer organisations’ activity to inform fresh and relevant content ideas.
• Track and analyse content performance, supporting the creation of regular insights reports.
• Ensure all content is accessible, inclusive, and aligned with Youth Music’s brand guidelines.
• Assist in maintaining the Asset Management System, ensuring all assets include accurate information (such as credits and consent details) and are regularly updated.
• Support with ad hoc design work and editing of templates for key campaigns e.g. the Youth Music Awards

Person Specification

Essential Criteria

• Minimum 12 months’ cumulative experience in a social media, digital content or communications role.
• Strong understanding of social media platforms, particularly Instagram and TikTok.
• Confident using TikTok and Instagram features, sounds and trends to create engaging content.
• Clear and accurate written communication skills with good attention to detail.
• Ability to edit short-form videos using tools such as CapCut, Canva or Adobe Premiere.
• Basic graphic design skills, ideally using Canva or similar software.
• Confidence contributing ideas and supporting campaign planning.
• Strong organisational skills and ability to work to deadlines.
• Enthusiasm for Youth Music’s mission to equalise access to music.
• Interest in the UK music scene, particularly youth and grassroots projects.
• Willingness to work occasional evenings or weekends to capture live event content.

Desirable Criteria

· Experience creating and scheduling social media content (through work, volunteering, studies, or personal projects).

· Awareness of accessibility and inclusive content principles.

· Experience capturing and editing content at live events or festivals.

· Understanding of social media analytics and performance measurement.

· Familiarity with social media scheduling or reporting tools such as Sprout Social, Buffer or Hootsuite (desirable).

About Us

The Bike Project is an award-winning charity which refurbishes second hand bikes and donates them to refugees.  We were founded in 2013 by, Jem Stein, after he struck up a friendship and found a bike for Adam, a Darfuri refugee who had fled his home in Sudan after war broke out.

The Bike Project has grown into a national operation with new CEO, hundreds of volunteers, a team of 20 committed staff, roadshows in different cities, an online shop and two workshops, one in the capital and one in Birmingham.

To date we have supported over 15,000 refugees and people seeking asylum by giving them a second-hand bike. In addition, we have supported hundreds through our programmes designed to build confidence and build friendships in the local community.

Duites and Responsibilities 

This role will provide maternity cover for an initial period of 12 months, with the potential for a 1–2 month extension. It will focus on developing new corporate partnerships and managing relationships with our existing corporate supporters.The role holder will work closely with the Chief Executive and Head of Fundraising, Marketing and Retail to ensure a strategic approach to the development and management of relationships with our corporate partners, enabling us to maximise the potential from them.

As well as leading income generation, the post will develop current and new corporate partnerships, providing personalised stewarding journeys.

Skills and Qualifications

The ideal candidate will have extensive experience of securing income directly from corporates for charity, both winning and securing new partnerships as well as maintaining and developing existing supporters. They will be able to prioritise, manage pipelines, research, pitch and manage partnerships to increase their value.

Location

Hybrid, with one day a week working from our London (Brixton) office. Occasional travel required to Birmingham, evening or weekend work.

· Lead on the strategic planning and implementation of income generation activities to help build sustainability of The Carers’ Centre and its services for 19,600 unpaid carers across Bath and North East Somerset.

· Develop and implement a stewardship programme for donors and funders building support and securing new income for The Carers’ Centre.

Income generation

· Design and deliver a diverse income generation plan to support philanthropy and fundraising in line with The Carers’ Centre Strategic Plan.

We are looking for Senior Operations Contracts Lead

Salary: £38,000 per year, this may be negotiable for the right person

Location: Based across multiple locations with the flexibility to work from home up to two days each week. The three key locations for this role are Portsmouth, Caversham and Bedfordshire. • A sound knowledge of safeguarding adult and children principles, child abuse, child protection issues and safeguarding
• A good knowledge and understanding of organisational systems and frameworks, line management and project management
• Significant experience, likely to have been gained over several years, of strategic planning and operational management at a service manager level, and developing and delivering services at senior service management level
• Significant experience of working with women and/or service users with a complex range of needs, particularly within the criminal justice system, in custody and/or community.
• Experience of developing relationships with funders/commissioners and achieving required outcomes
• Experience of implementing quality assurance frameworks, monitoring, evaluating and measuring impact
• Strong influencing skills, enthusiasm, self-confidence, excellent verbal and written communication and presentation skills , and a can do proactive solution focussed approach
• Strong negotiating skills and the ability to build strong and effective relationships and partnerships, dealing with ambiguity and resolving conflict effectively, achieving the right outcomes for the organisation, collaborating and networking
• Able to think, act and plan strategically to develop practical and creative solutions to the management of existing and new services and complex problems that may arise while maintaining high levels of diplomacy and professionalism

About the role  

It’s an exciting and important time for our charity as we work to help more people out of homelessness and poverty as part of an ambitious strategy. 

The newly created role of Federation Development Lead will sit within the Partnerships and Federation Development directorate, to support the delivery of key charity and federation-wide objectives, as part of our mission to empower people affected by homelessness and poverty to change their lives for the better while using our voice to achieve social change. 

The principal responsibility will be to support our ambition to become a best practice national body, responsible for leading on and supporting the development of key projects within Emmaus UK and the wider federation.

This will include providing leadership to support Emmaus communities across the UK to prepare and respond to the introduction of the Supported Housing (Regulatory Oversight) Act, you will require an understanding and commitment to best practice and legislative requirements related to the provision of supported housing, with the ability to translate regulatory requirements into user friendly support, training, guidance and policies and procedures

The role will also provide a critical role in the implementation and delivery of Emmaus UK’s ambitious plans to seek registration as a provider of social housing. You will provide the project management and technical skills required to support the successful delivery of the application process, ensuring that risk and regulatory requirements are considered and acted upon at each stage, maintaining strong communication with key stakeholders externally and across the federation.

As the Federation Development Lead, you will have the opportunity to make a significant impact on the growth and development of the Emmaus movement within the UK, contributing to a culture of continuous improvement, and supporting the overall success of the federation. Key Responsibilities

Service Delivery & Development

Provide tailored advice and support to VCSE organisations on governance, fundraising, income generation, and strategic planning.

Lead the development and delivery of training programmes, workshops, and resources.

Provide strategic leadership for RCVS’s capacity building and project work.
