St James’s Church seeks an energetic and dedicated individual to launch a new Changemaker Programme, for which seed funding has been secured. The idea behind the programme is that creative leadership is urgently needed in society today; and a matter for the soul too. The invitation is to be part of the change that such leadership can bring. The vision is that by 2035, 50 changemakers, aged between 22-34, will be innovating, inspiring, and creating other changemakers in society, rooted in the character, values and vision of St James’s Piccadilly. The Director role has responsibility for the promotion, implementation, sustainability of, and reporting for the Changemakers programme. The essential requirements are leadership of an organisation with an education, charitable or community setting; ideally to have extensive operational programme and line management experience within the education or charitable sector; evidence of strategic thinking and business planning; evidence of delivering and or managing the delivery of events.

Job Purpose

The Operations & Project Manager will oversee planning, project delivery, and commercial operations, ensuring that St Bride Foundation continues to fulfil its mission while growing its financial sustainability. This role is instrumental in managing strategic initiatives, optimizing processes, and leading teams to ensure efficient operations across venue hire, theatre management, and other income-generating activities.

Key Responsibilities

1. Strategic Planning & Project Management

· Develop and maintain Gantt charts, project timelines, and key performance indicators for organisational initiatives.

· Work as part of the Senior Management team to oversee and deliver key projects on time, within scope, and on budget.

· Improve internal project management processes to enhance efficiency and collaboration across teams.

The Policy and Public Affairs Manager will monitor and map the criminal justice policy landscape, tracking developments across the system. They will engage with MPs, civil servants and key stakeholders, bringing evidence from our membership and the voices of those impacted directly by the criminal justice system to government to influence change.

The postholder will have excellent written and verbal communication skills and have demonstrated evidence of impact in policy and public affairs. They should be confident in building relationships with a diverse range of stakeholders, be a collaborative and inspiring team player, show commitment to our values and share a passion for the CJA’s vision and mission.

Main responsibilities

Public Affairs (50% time)

• Develop and implement the CJA’s public affairs and influencing strategy to advance the CJA's objectives.
• Work with CJA members on influencing specific legislation, including campaigning around bills, writing amendments, and working with MPs and Peers to promote them within the legislative process.
• Stakeholder engagement (Parliament): Build and maintain relationships with key policy makers and parliamentarians through face-to-face meetings, providing briefings to MPs and Lords for Parliamentary debates, preparing written/oral questions, and attending Select Committees, APPGs, Parliamentary receptions and other relevant roundtables and events.
• Stakeholder engagement (other): Build and maintain relationships with other key stakeholders, including Police & Crime Commissioners, the Victims Commissioner, HM Inspectorates, civil servants, and other relevant bodies.

Policy and Research (40% time)

• Monitor policy and political debates and developments on criminal justice issues, horizon-scanning emerging policy issues, and where appropriate, disseminate and brief colleagues and CJA members.
• Maintain a repository of evidence briefings from CJA members.
• Identify proactive and reactive opportunities to promote and embed CJA and members recommendations and research.
• Produce high quality and influential policy briefs, reports, position papers, and responses to consultations, to advocate for changes in policy and practice put forward by CJA members.
• Lead on the monitoring of policy engagement and impact by using our evaluation tools and work with external evaluators as required to capture impact and utilise learning.
• Work with CJA members, people directly impacted by the justice system and other key stakeholders to harness and amplify their expertise and insights.
• Lead the co-ordination and establishment of member expert groups to inform our policy work.

• Work with the Communications and Engagement Manager to respond to media and other communication opportunities to promote the CJA’s work and to contribute to national debate on criminal justice issues.
• Work with the CJA team to recommend and secure relevant speakers and presenters for CJA meetings and events. 
• Support the Communications and Engagement Manager to develop content for the website and other internal and external communications, such as blogs and articles.
• Contribute to the general administration and delivery of CJA programmes, events and overall objectives.
• Work with the Director to support the development of potential fundraising bids and reporting progress to funders.

• Key point of contact for high level event participants and community fundraisers via face-to-face meetings, phone calls and emails – providing timely and personalised support

• Support the Events and Community Officer with enquiries, applications and registrations for challenge events, ensuring high levels of conversion, and capturing relevant supporter data 

• Support the Head of Community and Engagement, or other teams within Fight for Sight with the successful delivery of key special events, including fundraising gala dinners or receptions, virtual events and mini conferences, and third party or established supporter events.

• When required, support the Events and Community Officer in managing guest lists, enquiries, and ticket sales for special/major donor events and receptions, delivering a seamless guest experience and timely follow-ups supporter care and relationship management

Marketing 

• Oversee all paid Facebook advertising activity for events, updating web listings, and utilising our networks

We’re looking for a person with strong social research skills who has the ability to lead our Evidence team. We’re looking for someone who can work collaboratively across the organisation to ensure we’re developing our evidence base to inform our work.

The Corporate Partnerships Manager will play a vital role in supporting New Horizon Youth Centre’s mission by managing and growing a portfolio of valued corporate partners (>£20k) and supporters (<£20k). They will nurture these relationships to ensure meaningful, long-term support for our work with young people facing homelessness.

This will include organising volunteering days that inspire action, delivering lunch and learn sessions that deepen understanding of our cause, and finding creative ways for partners to make a real difference. London Fire Brigade (LFB) is London’s Fire and Rescue Service – one of the largest firefighting and rescue organisations in the world. We are here to make London a safer city.

We employ over 5,500 people, across our operational team (our firefighters), control (our call handlers who answer your 999 calls) and our non-operational team (our teams who work behind the scenes to support our front-line services, including HR, IT, Finance, Procurement, Communications etc.).

An exciting opportunity has arisen to join the internal communication team at London Fire Brigade. The team is in the process of modernising and streamlining the organisation’s communication channels to improve the experience for firefighters, other operational colleagues, and headquarters teams.

Modernisation and evolution of our digital channels is a key part of our ambition. The team is in the process of piloting digital screens in fire stations, with a view to rolling out an agile system to all 102 fire stations across London.

Alongside this, the team is rationalising regular newsletters into more agile online publications, and evaluating opportunities to better use app-based communication within a growing digital channels portfolio. We are continuously improving our SharePoint-based intranet and looking for ways to make it easier and more intuitive for colleagues to find the information they need to do their roles, and to keep up with the latest developments across the Brigade.

The role is London-based and requires at least 40% in-office working to facilitate collaborative working with stakeholders.

This role provides an opportunity for an excellent digital communications practitioner to lead the development and delivery of our internal digital communications strategy, and to extend their capability and experience as part of a can-do, friendly team.

Ascension Community Trust (ACT) is a much-loved community-based charity in Custom
House, Newham. We deliver Newham District Foodbank (a Trussell foodbank run by ACT
and two community partners), welfare benefits advice, immigration advice, ESOL classes,
work with adults with learning difficulties, as well as work with children, young people and
their families.

Our volunteers come from all walks of life, and their experience includes working with
corporate companies, students, school children, people with lived experience of poverty,
refugees, asylum seekers, and adults with learning difficulties. Our mission statement –

We are looking for someone with good interpersonal skills, who can welcome and listen to
prospective volunteers to find out their interests, skills and goals and match them with the

You will work two days a week with Newham District Foodbank strategic partners to mobilise
volunteers across our three delivery sites, and one day a week to support volunteer
involvement across the rest of ACT. You will need to be able to think outside the box to spot

About the opportunity

We are now recruiting for a Programme Coordinator for our schools in Newcastle.

• The Newcastle Programme Coordinator oversees a caseload of up to seven partner schools. They manage the logistics and organisation of each school’s tutoring programme, working closely with the schools and pupils and managing the pool of volunteer tutors. They attend the weekly tutoring sessions at each school, as well as overseeing the quality of face to face and online tutoring, always working to deliver a great impact.

Duties and responsibilities
 

• Responsible for the delivery of Action Tutoring’s tutoring programmes in partner schools, whether online or face to face. • Develop and strengthen relationships with key stakeholders in partner schools, including members of the Senior Leadership Team and subject teachers. Supporting the Programme Manager with strategies to retain and sustain school partnerships.
• Update and accurately maintain Action Tutoring’s database, including collecting timely data for monitoring and evaluation purposes, such as attendance records, baseline and interim assessments and pupil surveys. Reporting regularly on key performance indicators to key stakeholders and using them to enhance programme delivery. Work with the Programme Manager on business development, approaching new schools that might be interested in working with Action Tutoring.
• Proactively report to the Programme Manager on the details of Action Tutoring’s operations in their partner schools.
