This role would suit someone who enjoys and is skilled at supporting families to overcome barriers they face as a result of having a disabled child, including providing one to one support, practical assistance, and group workshops. Key responsibilities
· Ensure parent carers have someone to work alongside them to help to overcome barriers they are facing as a family as a result of their child/’s sensory impairment.
· Provide practical assistance (such as letter writing and attending meetings with a parent carer) where this is needed. This will include assisting with the Education & Health Care Plan (EHCP) to ensure it accurately reflects their needs.
· To assess and identify when the needs of the children and their families are not being met and work with parents, other professionals, and organisations as appropriate to address the issues with the aim of ensuring that the children have the opportunities and environments that will enable them to reach their potential and achieve their aspirations.
· Reduce loneliness and social isolation for parent carers by both connecting them with wider parent carer support services, and by organising and facilitating opportunities for them to come together, such as through drop-in events at community café’s and parent led support groups.
· Empower and enable parent carers to have the knowledge, skills, confidence, and support they need to advocate for their child/children through organising group training workshops and development around specific topics, creating and sharing resources that will help, and through our Power to The Parents event.
· To support children and young people through transition from children’s services into adult services, engaging with SEND services and adult services where appropriate.
· To follow all policies, including those focused on confidentiality, equality, and diversity.
· Keep accurate and up to date records of work completed and support provided.
· Create, share and store two anonymised case studies each month which demonstrate the barriers faced by families, and the impact of the service.

This is an opportunity to join Refuge as a Duty Independent Domestic Violence Advocate to be the first point of contact for women who are impacted by domestic violence. You will work closely with victims of domestic abuse from the point of crisis and other gender-based abuse to provide high quality independent support to survivors all risk levels and their children..
In this role you will be part of a busy team. You will be the first point of contact for survivors who have been referred to the Gaia Centre. The duty IGVA will be responding to daily enquiries (specify from whom- public, agencies, individuals? over the phone and email as well as contacting survivors, assessing their risks and needs.
The duty IGVA will be responsible for carrying out and implementing safety plans and needs and will ensure an effective handover to the over to the relevant GAIA team for ongoing support. The post holder will also empower survivors by providing them with emotional, practical and personal welfare support. You will ensure that survivors are provided with a safe, supportive and welcoming environment, enabling them to access their rights, make decisions and increase their life options. The job involves working within a multi-agency framework consisting of the MARAC and local partnership protocols and procedures that prioritise the safety of survivors.
As part of this role, you will be required to participate in an out-of-hours on call rota.

About the Role
Community Connectors work as part of an integrated, blended mental health offer to support people with emotional, social and practical needs to access a range of local, non-medical and non-clinical services, to improve confidence, social inclusion and independence.
This role will involve working as part of a multi-disciplinary team with statutory, third sector and NHS colleagues to support clients who are suffering from moderate to severe mental health difficulties. You will need to have experience working with those suffering with mental health illness as well as being able to demonstrate in depth knowledge of the services, support networks and local resources that may assist in improved outcomes for those dealing with complex and enduring mental health issues. The ability to be adaptable, work independently and the resilience to work in some challenging environments are key attributes for this role.

This role builds on the work of our Feminist Green New Deal project. The Feminist Green New Deal puts the needs and priorities of women, racialised and marginalised groups at the heart of all climate policy and action and advocates for a care-led green recovery from our multiple crises of climate breakdown and inequality. The role will continue to develop our Feminist Green New Deal work engaging new audiences, stakeholders and writing new policy papers.
As a Feminist Climate Justice Policy Campaigner you will make connections with policy makers, government departments, NGOs and influencers, bringing an intersectional feminist lens to these spaces. You will need to keep up to speed with UK climate policies and how these impact women.
Wen works at the grassroots and policy level ensuring that grassroots perspectives are part of and shape climate policy making so a key part of the role will be linking these two levels. You will work closely with our Climate Sisters programme and the Tower Hamlets Food Partnership which inform our Feminist Green New Deal policy asks and campaigns, advocating for inclusive climate policy rooted in the priorities of women, particularly racialised and marginalised groups. Bring an intersectional feminist climate justice lens to policy makers and debates with a focus on climate, health, food justice and environmental policies

Oakview is a supported living project for 10 customers with mild to moderate learning disabilities. It provides a 24/7 support service, with an emphasis on choice and control for customers, enabling them to achieve greater independence, improved quality of life and integration into the wider community. Support Workers will provide support to customers to help them develop the life skills they require to meet the assessed needs of the customers of the service. This includes providing personal care, domestic duties, emotional and social support in a person-centred way. Staff will work with customers to promote social inclusion and alongside other members of the team to promote independent living, encouraging customers to maximise their skills and choices.
The service is staffed 24/7 and this post-holder will be required to cover an average of at least one sleep-in per week (pro rata).

Ynghylch Ymddiriedolaeth St Giles
Elusen uchelgeisiol, wedi’i hen sefydlu sy’n helpu pobl sy’n wynebu helbulon i ddod o hyd i swyddi, cartrefi a’r gefnogaeth gywir y mae ei hangen arnynt yw Ymddiriedolaeth St Giles. O ganlyniad, dyfarnwyd cytundebau i ni i ddarparu Gwasanaethau Lles Personol ar gyfer Gogledd a De Cymru. Bydd y gwasanaethau hyn yn cynnwys amrywiaeth o gymorth i droseddwyr cymunedol a'r rhai sy'n gadael carchardai gan gynnwys teuluoedd, lles emosiynol, ffordd o fyw a chysylltiadau cyswllt a chynhwysiant cymdeithasol (gan gynnwys cwrdd wrth y gatiau).
Ynghylch y cyfle cyffrous hwn
Gan weithio fel rhan o dîm aml-asiantaeth, byddwch yn darparu cymorth sydd wedi’i ganolbwyntio ar yr unigolyn i lwyth achosion o ddefnyddwyr gwasanaeth a fydd naill ai'n cyflawni dedfrydau cymunedol neu'n cael eu rhyddhau o'r carchar. Byddwch yn ymgymryd â chynllunio asesu a gweithredu gyda defnyddwyr gwasanaethau unigol, yn creu amgylchedd diogel ac ymddiriedus, gan ddefnyddio ymarfer trawma-gwybodus i hwyluso perthynas gefnogol ac adeiladol gyda defnyddwyr gwasanaeth, ynghyd â darparu ystod o ymyriadau i ddefnyddwyr gwasanaethau sy'n cyfrannu tuag at gyflawni canlyniadau rhagnodedig.
Byddwch hefyd yn datblygu a chynnal perthnasoedd gweithio cadarnhaol gydag asiantaethau allanol, gan gynnwys y gwasanaeth prawf, carchardai, partneriaid, ac eraill a fydd yn cynorthwyo i sicrhau canlyniadau rhagnodedig i ddefnyddwyr gwasanaethau, gan sicrhau eich bod yn gweithio tuag at dargedau a chanlyniadau cytundebol o fewn amserlenni y cytunwyd arnynt. Mae defnyddio cronfeydd data CRM y cytunwyd arnynt a chofnodi'r holl weithgaredd sy'n ymwneud â llwyth gwaith a darparu diweddariadau ac adroddiadau hefyd yn ddyletswyddau allweddol.

- Y gallu i asesu anghenion cleientiaid a darparu cymorth wedi'i deilwra a arweinir gan gleientiaid drwy gynllunio gweithredu ac ymyriadau sy'n cynnwys cyngor, arweiniad, eiriolaeth a hyfforddi
- Y gallu i weithio mewn dull sensitif gyda chleientiaid gan ddefnyddio strategaethau sail-trawma
- Sgiliau TG, meithrin-perthynas a chyfathrebu nodedig, ar lafar ac yn ysgrifenedig
