Overall Purpose:

With a team of 15 and a target of £6.1m in 2020/21, voluntary income is made up of funding from trusts and foundations, corporate partnerships, major donors, special events, challenge events, individual giving and community fundraising with team members dedicated to each area. It is an ambitious team and we are looking for a talented, passionate and creative individual to join us and help deliver income growth during this exciting period of growth and opportunity for the organization.

The Trusts team is a small but dynamic team consisting of a Head of Trusts and a Trusts Manager. We have achieved significant growth in the past few years, securing a number of high-value grants - the team has a 2020/21 target of £2.5m

What exactly will I be doing in my new role:

The Trusts Officer will support the team by securing funding from small and medium charitable trusts and foundations. Excellent writing skills and attention to detail; confidence in managing relationships and the ability to manage multiple priorities and work to tight deadlines are all essential. Experience of producing comprehensive applications and reports for funders is desirable.

The successful candidate will:

  • Demonstrable experience of working in trusts fundraising role, or relevant experience/ transferable skills.
  • Proven track record of effective administrative work
  • Experience of building effective relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Strong communication skills – written and verbal
  • Self-motivated with the ability to plan, prioritise and meet deadlines
