What you’ll be doing …

The post-holder will serve as social media manager, overseeing the Society’s social media accounts, and contributing to the maintenance and effectiveness of the Society’s other key digital communications channels such as our newsletter and website. They will support the Society’s Web Manager with content sourcing and webpage creation for the Geological Society’s website and newsletter, sent to around 11,000 subscribers.

Overall responsibilities / requirements …

The post-holder will be responsible for implementing the Society’s broader communications strategy, and work closely with colleagues across the organisation to develop communications outputs that further the Society’s mission and ensure communications content is current, coherent and comprehensive.

The Digital Communications Officer will be responsible for developing and delivering dynamic digital content to inform, engage, and motivate diverse audiences, helping to raise awareness of the Geological Society’s work. The role will ensure a consistent voice across social media, websites, and email communications to enhance visibility, strengthen member and stakeholder engagement.

Social Media

• Act as Social Media Manager – leading on oversight of the Society’s social media accounts (Facebook, YouTube, Instagram, and LinkedIn) – with responsibility for implementing our social media strategy in line with the Society’s wider
• communications strategy.
• Leading on daily activity across social media platforms, identifying and proactively pursuing opportunities for storytelling and engagement.
• Managing quality and consistency of content created by the Society’s wider social media contributors' group.
• Ensure that the Society’s social media accounts confirm to visual branding and in-house style and train other users and contributors as required.

Website

• Support with the maintenance and development of our websites including sourcing, managing and formatting images, copy, videos, resources and links.

Campaigns and content creation

ROLE OVERVIEW

The role is responsible for delivering comprehensive HR support across the organisation covering recruitment, onboarding, training, and support for performance management and employee relations.  It includes managing volunteer processes and working closely with both internal managers and external HR and training providers.

The postholder will play a key role in maintaining effective HR systems, ensuring policy compliance and supporting a positive work culture.

Key responsibilities

· Managing end-to-end recruitment processes across multi-disciplinary teams, including: recruitment, onboarding, DBS checking, training and development, absence and performance management, and leaver processing

PERSON SPECIFICATION

· CIPD-qualified to level 5: significant HR management experience will also be considered

· 3+years demonstrable generalist HR management experience or similar role types – ideally in a small organisation or NFP

Role purpose

In order to create safe communities, RISE empowers people to break their cycle of harmful behaviour. RISE’s programmes challenge attitudes and facilitate long-lasting behaviour change and are driven by the belief that people can make better decisions, given the right support. RISE are specialists in designing and delivering evidence-based, transformative behaviour change courses within the criminal justice system and wider community.

With the main objectives of reducing re-victimisation and reoffending, and helping to protect the public, the RISE practitioner will deliver a range intervention (individual and group), both in the community and in custody.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide a high-quality service to victims of domestic abuse, delivering a service to those at risk;
• Work collaboratively within a multi - agency framework consisting of the Multi Agency Risk Assessment Conferences (MARAC) and local partnership responses to domestic abuse;
• Identify and assess the risks and needs of domestic abuse victims using an evidence-based risk identification checklist.
• Focus on and prioritise high risk cases and provide a pro-active service through individual safety planning and personal support. 
• Work with victims of domestic abuse at all levels of risk to help them access services to keep them and their children safe.
• Liaise with Social Services and other professional agencies in relation to any child protection/ adult safeguarding risk issues highlighted;
• To ensure that any issues in relation to safeguarding children or vulnerable adults are brought to the immediate attention of the Safeguarding lead (or whoever is relevant).
• Maintain high standards of professionalism and keep abreast of current legislation, best practice and maintain a focus of continuous improvement;
• Work with victims of domestic abuse to help them access services to keep them and their children safe;
• Understand the role of all relevant statutory and non-statutory services available to domestic abuse victims, and work collaboratively with these as appropriate;
• Provide advocacy, emotional and practical support, and information to victims in relation to legal options, housing, health and finance;
• To record case work accurately and ensure administration of caseload is always up to date.
• To communicate internally within RISE, with victims and with partner agencies about the risks and needs of victims.
• To attend regular case review meetings with the DA Team Leader and Practitioners to share information around the identified risks.
• Manage a caseload of 60-70 service users ensuring each client receives a timely and appropriate service, individual to their needs;
• Support the empowerment of the client, and assist them in recognising the features and dynamics of domestic abuse, and help them regain control of their lives;
• Maintain knowledge of the organisation’s operating environment;

• To attend and participate in any and all internal and external training identified as necessary to meet the requirements of the role as identified by Rise Mutual CIC.

Main Duties:

• Establish timely contact with Victim/ Survivors of domestic abuse perpetrators who are referred to attend a DVPP,
• Carry out assessments with the Victim/ Survivors via telephone contact or community visit, using the Safe Lives DASH risk assessment tool;
• Carry out detailed safety planning with Victim/ Survivors;
• Manage risk by being pro-active with Victim/ Survivors, sharing information with other relevant agencies in a timely way.
• Refer and/or signpost Victim/ Survivors to other services/agencies to meet risk/wellbeing needs;
• Ensure Victim/ Survivors can access a place of safety e.g. refuge, if risk escalates to a dangerous/unsafe level;
• Maintain Victim/ Survivors contact and continuously monitor risk by keeping up with all available information while the perpetrator attends the programme;
• Attendance at Social Services Conferences (if appropriate), Risk Meetings and MARAC, advising on any safety planning for any risk issues highlighted;
• Undertake an end of case review, signposting Victim/ Survivors to external agencies for ongoing support where appropriate;
• To maintain up to date Victim/ Survivors records to ensure data is collated for all work completed.
• To offer 100% of Victim/ Survivors to complete service user feedback;

CUF’s new strategy has a vision of ending poverty together.  Over the next three years we will be developing our relationships with our networks, partnerships, Dioceses and churches to respond, primarily, to relational poverty, recognising its place within the web of poverty. Our work will be mission and community resilience focussed, in the framework of asset based community development.

Through our work we will see more impactful, confident and mission focussed churches who are empowered to serve their local communities.  We will witness greater cohesion across Dioceses, schools, Christian denominations and Christian charities as a national movement to love and serve our neighbour, and challenge unjust structures of society. We will also work more strategically with communities of different faiths

in our resilience work, facing the challenges of relational and identity poverty.  We will work closely with the Church of England who have highlighted ministry in low income communities as a priority for resourcing.

We will be more confident in speaking out the truth about poverty, through a renewed influencing, policy and research team, who will take our grassroots and collaborative work to highlight unjust structures on poverty, and shape an ecclesial, political and sociological response.

In this newly created role you will develop our work on influencing and telling the truth about poverty, this is one of two objectives for the charity.  You will help build relationships of influence within the Church of England, Government and other decision makers to use our stories and impact to show the difference churches and faith groups can make in ending material and relational poverty.  You will develop policy positions on areas of CUF’s work in relation to poverty that will give a firm basis for our work, and that we will be able to speak out on with confidence and knowledge based on connection to grassroots churches and organisations.  You will develop a robust mechanism for reporting on impact, which goes beyond just evaluating our work but demonstrates the difference that faith based social action can make on ending poverty together.

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a People Officer to join a highly regarded Educational Membership Body based in the heart of London. This is a full-time, permanent based in London, providing essential administrative support to the HR team to ensure the smooth running of all human resources processes and the employee lifecycle.

Key responsibilities of the role:

• Act as the first point of contact for HR and recruitment enquiries, delivering excellent customer service to staff, volunteers, and external stakeholders

Fundraising and income generation

• Work with Impetus CEO and SMT to support the delivery of the Impetus strategy and business plan and deliver the public affairs milestones to time and within budget.
• Champion and contribute to embedding equality, diversity, and inclusion (EDI) across all areas of Impetus' work, ensuring that EDI principles related to Impetus’ mission are reflected in advocacy, stakeholder engagement, communications and public positioning.

The Role:

• Responsible to the Housing Manager for delivering a high-quality, customer-focused housing service to ex-service personnel and their dependents.
• To provide an effective and responsive housing management service for a patch of Stoll properties, meeting agreed performance outcomes and objectives for key

Key Responsibilities:

• Act as the first point of contact in relation to housing applicants, ensuring that all data is recorded accurately on the housing database, and the waiting list is
  managed efficiently.
• Take part in the Allocations process, working with the other members of the Housing team to ensure that all voids on the patch are efficiently allocated and that let targets are met.

We provide a supportive approach to our tenants, providing positive interactions regarding their accounts, lack of payments, and any account related queries. Our Team aims to sustain tenancies and signpost for support, however legal action will progress in cases so experience of issuing legal notices of seeking possession through to witness statements would be desirable for this role. Our customer database is Civica CX so please note experience of using this in your supporting statement.

About the job

Key responsibilities of the role are:

• Interacting with tenants regarding their accounts, payments, and related queries.

• Undertake the recovery of all rents and other charges due to the Haig Housing, in accordance with the law, best practice and the Trust’s policies and procedures, to maximise the Trust’s income.
