We are now looking for a Member Engagement Officer to assist a lively and talented team with all areas of Remember a Charity’s membership administration, in addition to supporting the marketing and partnerships workstreams.

This is a unique opportunity not only to help grow charitable giving, but to also work closely with those member charities (close to 200) who rely on gifts in Wills to continue their vital work.

Key Accountabilities

· To maintain and update records on Remember A Charity’s CRM database and E-Comms mailing lists for charities, legal supporters and partner organisations. To run CRM reports as required.

· To assist with the onboarding of new joiner charities and legal sector supporters.

· To use the website content management system (CMS) to build member charity and legal sector supporter online profiles; and to make any amends to these profiles and other website pages as required.

· To manage the central In-Box and respond to all enquiries or signpost to the relevant team member.

· To co-ordinate the programme of rolling annual membership renewal and new-joiner invoicing, including credit control of all invoices.

· To prepare monthly engagement report  collating key activity metrics for members and legal sector supporters

· To assist with online and in person member, prospect and legal sector supporter events, including creating registration links, managing attendee information on the CRM and other events preparation and follow-up required.

· Representing Remember A Charity at key charity and legal sector exhibitions when required.

· To capture minutes from all key meetings.

· Diary management when required.

We are looking for a motivated, creative, and organised Engagement and Communications Officer to join our team. Context of the role.

We are looking for two Development Managers to join our Development team focusing on Individual Giving and Trust and Foundation Fundraising.

The Development Manager (Individual Giving) will manage the strategic development of Individual Giving, identifying opportunities to drive growth in this area. The post-holder will oversee the delivery of our Regular Giving programmes and will also manage relationships with high-level donors to identify and securing major gifts.

Applicants must be able to demonstrate the following essential requirements:

• Drive acquisition, retention and growth of Individual Giving at all levels with a particular view to growing unrestricted income from this stream.
• Develop and deliver inspiring Regular Giving appeals, understanding the key motivations of our supporters and in line with the strategic objectives of the organisation.

• Liaise with key internal stakeholders to develop accurate, compelling funding applications in line with deadlines set by funders. 
• Build lasting relationships with funders in order to establish opportunities for multi-year income generation.
• Drive the Trusts and Foundations prospecting process and increase the range of prospects approached for support, utilising prospect research tools and securing introductions from our network.

About the role

As the Business Development Manager, you’ll be part of the Senior Leadership Team.  You’ll do everything to make sure that we have the capacity and resources we need to deliver on our strategy and ensure that every person with a learning disability can live life to the full.  You will play a pivotal role in driving the growth and sustainability of the organisation helping us to build upon our strong reputation and existing relationships.

About You

We are seeking a driven and determined candidate with proven experience in fundraising or business development ideally gained from the voluntary sector.  Our ideal candidate has an enthusiastic attitude as well as experience in developing and growing services.  We are looking for someone who aligns with our mission and we ask that all our staff live our organisation’s values and demonstrate them in their day-to-day work. 

You will need to have excellent interpersonal and communication skills to enable you to build authentic relationships with members, donors, partners and commissioners.  You will also need experience in leading change within an organisation, supporting our team on our journey of growth and sustainability.

You will need to be approachable, organised and have excellent communication skills with good IT skills to be able to excel in fundraising.

Duties Include:

Fundraising and project development:

· Lead the implementation of Bexley Mencap’s Fundraising Strategy; reviewing existing fundraising strategies, identifying opportunities for development and introducing innovative strategies to achieve fundraising goals. 

· Research and pursue new funding opportunities; including grants, legacies and social enterprise/earned income opportunities.

· Develop compelling cases for support, tailoring funding bids and applications accordingly

· Develop and maintain funding pipelines, providing reports to the Trustee Board

· Support and line manage part-time member of the team (may be required to support more staff if the role grows/adapts)

· Support the Chief Executive in extending and strengthening relationships with existing partners and developing new relationships

· Ensure all fundraising initiatives adhere to best practices, ethical guidelines and legislation

· Identify and evaluate opportunities for new projects and initiatives aligned with the mission and objectives of the organisation.

· Lead the development of project proposals, including conducting needs assessments, defining project scopes, and establishing timelines and budgets.

· Collaborate with internal teams and external partners to ensure successful project implementation and delivery.

Organisational Change and Growth:

· Work closely with the senior leadership team to identify areas for organisational growth and improvement.

· Champion initiatives aimed at enhancing organisational capacity, efficiency, and sustainability.

· Support change management processes to foster a culture of innovation and continuous improvement.

· Coach, motivate and guide staff and volunteers

Other:

· To be familiar with and work within the organisation and the service’s values policies and procedures, maintaining records and reports accordingly.

· To be a part of the Senior Leadership Team, supporting the wider team in the absence of other management.

The Role 
 
As our Communications Officer, you will be responsible for planning and delivering a wide range of communications that contribute to increased brand awareness of the charity, demonstrate the charity’s expertise and impact, educate the public about cancer prevention, signs, symptoms and screening and support the generation of income for the charity. 

Specifically, you will: 

• Plan, research, create and distribute creative media content, including press releases, blog posts, case studies and videos, to support research, services, cancer insight, fundraising, events, retail, corporate partnerships and campaigns. 

• Proactively seek, identify and engage in media opportunities, such as attending events, organising photo opportunities and meeting face-to-face with case studies.

• Manage third-party suppliers such as photographers and film production agencies, obtaining quotes, providing clear briefings and ensuring work is delivered on time and within budget.

• Respond to press enquiries efficiently and to a high standard. Understand which media enquiries are appropriate for the charity’s brand and key messages and those which are not, so that the charity prioritises only those which are value-adding. 

• Organise TV, radio and press interview opportunities for the Chief Executive, Directors and Heads of. Prepare clear briefings for interviewees. 

• Demonstrate and convey professionalism at all times and represent the charity when communicating with the media, members of the public, volunteers and supporters to demonstrate the charity’s core values.

• Monitor and evaluate the charity’s media coverage and the digital impact of PR content, providing a monthly media clippings report. 

• Provide PR input to the charity’s Leadership Team, Board reports and performance dashboards. 

• Maintain continuous awareness of industry news and regularly update colleagues on key developments. 

 
About You 

To be considered for this role, you will need: 

• To be educated to a degree or equivalent level of education or have relevant experience in a similar role at a similar level. 

• Previous media experience, whether through journalism or a PR / in house media assistant role. 

• Experience in building relationships with colleagues and journalists and managing media opportunities such as interviews, broadcast opportunities and photocalls. 

• An ability to write compelling copy for multiple audiences, and media channels, often translating complicated information into a format that is easily understood by readers. 

• An agile media mind, able to spot the key storyline that will maximise the possibility of media coverage and attract the attention of the media. 

• An evaluative mindset, supporting continual improvement by analysing coverage and associated data from media activity. 

• An ability to keep a calm head when faced with a reactive media situation in a manner that best protects the reputation of the charity 

• A thoughtful and empathetic outlook, able to engage with people affected by cancer with sensitivity and respect.

This is a very exciting time to join the team at Tŷ Hafan. We have just launched our Big Ambition that when a child’s life will be short no family should have to live it alone.

This is a huge ambition that will need us to grow the money we raise significantly over the next 5 years. Major Giving is a crucial income stream for Tŷ Hafan and as Major Giving Fundraising Officer, you will be integral to supporting income growth.

In the role, you will support the Head of Fundraising and Director of Income Generation to develop and deliver the major giving programme and will support the management of major donors and potential major donors, making sure that they receive the best possible experience as a Tŷ Hafan supporter.

You’ll coordinate major donor plans, support the organisation of key events, prepare and deliver tailored communications and personally manage some donor relationships.

About you

We’re looking for an enthusiastic Data Officer who has experience working with relational databases with a strong understanding of data protection and electronic marketing regulation. This role is ideal for someone who is methodical, enjoys a varied to-do list, and is committed to continuous professional development.

The right candidate will have experience working with databases in a fundraising or marketing context, be comfortable wrangling and cleaning data and possess the ability to communicate complex concepts effectively. If you have experience with data analysis and visualisation that’s even better!

About the Role

As a Data Officer at Myeloma UK, you will be supporting the charity as we implement a brand-new data strategy. You will ensure our data is handled with the highest care, complying with best practice in data protection, and be involved in projects covering data management, data cleaning, reporting, and analysis.

Some of your varied responsibilities will include:

· Collaborate across the charity assessing our processing and help to manage communication preferences, data assets, including maintaining the Records of Processing Activities (RoPA) log.

· Support us in assessing new and existing data processing to ensure we follow privacy by design principles.

· Enhance data flows from multiple sources to our CRM, providing training and support to colleagues where needed.

· Contribute to the development and execution of a brand-new data strategy, improving our charity’s data maturity through staff training and promoting best practice.

· Create dashboards and visualisations, identify trends, and provide insights to enhance how we work.
