New Horizon Youth Centre runs a busy day centre from Monday to Friday, providing basic needs to young people experiencing homelessness and a one-stop-shop for housing advice, youth work activities, counselling, jobs, education and training support. The Services Manager (Day Centre) is a brand new role for the organisation. They will work as part of the existing Youth Work Team to provide vital additional capacity and expertise to respond to the significantly increased demand we have been experiencing. This role is primarily focused on delivering our frontline day centre service each week. You will spend around 2-3 days per week frontline as our Duty Manager ensuring the smooth running of the day centre. The commission will run from June 2024 for three years. As part of this, an additional service will be set up within the NHYC Youth Justice team specifically to deliver on the Alliance contract. The Services Manager will be the key operational lead for the Alliance, and oversee successful delivery of housing casework services to young people fleeing violence and exploitation who are referred in. You should have experience of working in services that support young people fleeing violence or who are impacted by the criminal justice system, and have a solid understanding of housing options for young people under 25. Working closely with people in prison, prison managers, Shannon Trust staff and volunteers you will ensure development of our criminal programmes maximising literacy and numeracy learning opportunities for people across a number of prisons and contracts in your area.
Ideally you will have some experience of prison settings, managing teams and contract performance, underpinned by the ability to build relationships and personal qualities that include resilience, determination and a problem-solving approach. We have an exciting opportunity for a Fundraising Research & Stewardship Executive to join The London Clinic on a hybrid working model.
Job Profile
Your role will be to research and monitor a pipeline of prospects, and work with the team to update and steward current donors, also identify and research new prospects and community and corporate partners. You will also carry out research to support fundraisers to make informed decisions to engage, cultivate, and solicit gifts from prospects and peer to peer networks.
You’ll provide insights into new areas of prospecting to continually replenish the pipeline with high-capacity prospects in order to meet current and future income and community outreach targets. You will support the development of stewardship documents for donors, with related statistics and outcomes information and stories. This will include playing a role in managing our charity governance group internally.
Job Type: Full-time, permanent position - 37.5 hours per week.
Shift Pattern: Monday to Friday - core hours 9am – 5.30pm.
Job Location: Park Square West, London, NW1 4LJ (Close to Regents Park/Baker St tube stations).
Salary: Competitive attractive inclusive salary of £35,000 p.a.

Key Duties
- Lead and carry out prospect research activity, including proactive research into new prospects, including individuals, trusts, or companies.
- Carry out research and engage with community partners.
- Create prospect profiles as needed to inform engagement with supporters and potential supporters.
- Maintain a prospect management system that provides accurate reporting.
- Undertake due diligence and corporate risk assessment on potential funders.
- Keep up to date with market and philanthropic trends and use this to inform our research approach.
- Build relationships with consultants and staff through the Clinic to build beneficial collaborative working to identify donors.

Skills & Experience
- Previous experience working for a charitable organisation.
- Experience of developing fundraising strategies for a charity
- Understanding of how to research potential donors and supporters
- Adaptable excellent written and verbal communication
- Strong relationship-building skills with both internal and external stakeholders at all levels

In this pivotal role as Workforce Initiatives Manager you will be responsible for the successful development and delivery of initiatives to support us in fulfilling our overarching goal of growing the UK workforce in our specialties of Clinical Radiology and Clinical Oncology, ensuring that quality and impact are at the heart of our plans.
With a focus on the strategic development side of the team you will cultivate information into initiatives such as the development of curricula or standards but also ongoing initiatives which will serve to increase routes into the workforce for both existing and emerging groups of doctors and allied health professionals. Leading and motivating a high-performing and dedicated team to do so.
What you’ll do:
- Manage the development and implementation of new versions of the postgraduate curricula for our specialities.
- Establish and implement necessary quality assurance mechanisms and initiative.
- Oversee the provision of support for ancillary workforce development initiatives.
- Undertake market research to evaluate the viability of proposed new workforce initiatives, targeting those with the greatest reach and impact.
- Lead, motivate performance manage and develop a team.
What you’ll need:
- Experience of curriculum development or experience of innovation in training programmes or teaching.
- Experience of programme/project management.
- Experience in developing funding bids/building cogent business cases.
- Knowledge and understanding of UK healthcare workforce strategy, including postgraduate medical education.
- Excellent manager of people, capable of inspiring.
- Analytical thinker, able to evaluate key issues and exercise sound judgement.
- Ability to prioritise own work and work of team to deliver agreed outcomes.

The Services Manager (Housing) will primarily focus on the managing New Horizon's Housing Advice service, delivered both from the day centre and remotely. You will work with the Head of Services to ensure the service responds holistically to young people with multiple needs or barriers. You should be experienced in the housing and homelessness sector, be a passionate advocate for young people. and have the ability to motivate a team to deliver high quality services in a fast-paced environment.
