To assist us in this endeavour, we are looking for an experienced full-time Welfare and Benefits Information Lead. You will assist clients in claiming welfare benefits, grants, and any financial aid that may be available to them. This includes informing them of any financial help available, supporting them with applications and following up on claim as necessary. Where anyone has been given an end of life diagnosis you will be required to start the application on their behalf. In addition, you will also conduct financial wellbeing assessments in the community and schedule one-on-one application completion consultations with individuals who request your assistance.
This vital role will suit an enthusiastic and dynamic person who has excellent communication skills, being able to deal with complex matters effectively both verbally and in writing. You will need to understand the issues involved in interviewing people within a time defined period. The ideal applicant will have emotional resilience to deal with people who have experienced cancer or bereavement. An empathetic and compassionate approach is important. The Welfare Benefits Information Lead will be at the forefront of our client-based services and need to be self-motivated and have a positive and flexible attitude.

Role: Fundraising Database Manager

This is an exciting time for Haberdashers’ Girls’ School and Haberdashers’ Boys’ School. While they remain largely autonomous institutions with their own cultures and traditions, they are undertaking ambitious joint fundraising and alumni relations activities for the first time in their histories. This effort is led by a small but dynamic development & alumni relations team working across both schools.
Overview
The Fundraising Database Manager plays a key role within the team, with overall responsibility for the administration and oversight of the Raiser's Edge donor/alumni database, gift processing and alumni networking platforms across both schools. Responsibilities include maintaining the integrity of the data and ensuring it is up to date, optimising the database for fundraising appeals, generating reports and queries, providing professional support and training to users, processing all gifts and claiming Gift Aid. The database manager is also responsible for ensuring the department complies with all relevant data protection regulations
You are a motivated and highly organised self-starter, with a knack for methodical problem-solving, enthusiasm for the potential of data to drive effective fundraising and alumni relations, and a meticulous attention to detail. Beyond optimising and managing the database, you will also take the lead in implementing new financial and operational procedures which will make our fundraising and alumni relations work more efficient and effective, and which will be easy for less tech-minded team members to adopt and sustain.
You are comfortable extracting, interrogating and reporting on data to help inform strategy, always looking for ways to use and improve your skills and experience to make an impact. You will have a sophisticated understanding of how to export, import and (where warranted) merge multiple datasets. As our Fundraising Compliance Manager, you will be the focal point for compliance, providing guidance and advice to colleagues ensuring that we have sufficient controls and processes in place across all areas of fundraising. - Ensuring we are aware of and reacting to any fundraising and data protection regulations changes. Regulations include GDPR/UK Data Protection Act 2021, Fundraising Regulator's Code of Fundraising Practice, Charity Commission guidelines, BACS, and PCI DSS Compliance. HMRC Gift aid guidelines.
- Recognise that a change in procedure or legislation external to the Foundation has implications and who needs to be notified of the changes.
- Produce and continually monitor our operational policies; modelling best practices against the Fundraising Regulator's Code of Fundraising Practice
- Responsible for reviewing all fundraising contracts and third-party agreements for data capture to ensure they are in line with all compliance regulations, ensuring our supporter data is adequately protected, any new fundraising processes and procedures are compliant, and fulfilling the operational commitments associated. Suggest and negotiate amendments, and if the necessary compliance clauses cannot be met then decline authorisation to work with that third party.
- Assess data risks and complete Data Protection Impact Assessments where required, being prepared to work with colleagues to pull together the relevant information and present to the data protection lead for sign off. ·

About the role

The Operations Team comprises a number of functions within our organisation, including finance, people, compliance, governance, facilities and IT, and works cross-functionally to provide critical resource and a centre of expertise.
We are now seeking an IT Manager to join our Operations Team on a full-time, permanent basis.

The Role
As an IT Manager, you will ensure our information technology infrastructure, systems, policies and applications are secure and reliable.
You will provide thought leadership regarding our IT systems, policies, and applications, alongside having oversight of IT risk management and the implementation of our IT strategy.
Spending the majority of your time managing our IT estate, you will also be involved in IT strategy and associated policies and risk management and business continuity activities. You will take the lead on IT training and awareness and undertake some system administration for our MS Dynamics system.
Additionally, you will:
- Manage our IT budget and equipment
- Review existing IT contracts for outsourced services
- Lead in the development, review and execution of our IT strategy
- Develop an annual work plan for implementation
- Identify, evaluate and mitigate IT risks
- Develop and implement existing IT risk management policies and procedures
- Devise and deliver comprehensive cyber security awareness training to staff
About You
To be considered as an IT Manager, you will need:
- Experience with business continuity planning and disaster recovery strategies
- Experience leading IT training programmes
- Experience presenting to colleagues and running training sessions
- Strong knowledge of cyber security practices and risk management frameworks
- Knowledge of data privacy laws
- Relevant qualifications and experience in information technology, computer science or a related field

The Tenancy & Contributions Officer will lead on the delivery and continuing evolution of the tenancy agreement (known as the In-Pensioner Agreement). Part of the delivery of the agreement will be coordinating the process of setting and reviewing In-Pensioner’s personal financial contribution to the Royal Hospital. New Horizon Youth Centre runs a busy day centre from Monday to Friday, providing basic needs to young people experiencing homelessness and a one-stop-shop for housing advice, youth work activities, counselling, jobs, education and training support. The Services Manager (Day Centre) is a brand new role for the organisation. They will work as part of the existing Youth Work Team to provide vital additional capacity and expertise to respond to the significantly increased demand we have been experiencing.
