As an Infrastructure Engineer, you will be at the centre of our technology operations joining our high-performing IT team. Working closely with the Infrastructure & Security Manager you will be pivotal in designing, implementing, and maintaining the College's IT infrastructure. Your responsibilities will include managing network systems, servers, storage devices, and other related hardware, software, and cloud platforms. Furthermore, you will serve as an escalation point for the ServiceDesk team and support the Infrastructure and Security Manager in implementing and managing security protocols to protect company data and systems from potential threats.
In addition, you'll provide vital support for examination systems, ensuring all IT equipment and software are set up and functioning perfectly. Your general IT support will be invaluable as you resolve user IT problems, assist in delivering technology projects, and collaborate with third-party service providers to keep our systems running smoothly.

What you’ll do:
- Infrastructure Management: Support the design, implementation, and operation of technology systems, including cloud services, hosting, on-premises network, and server infrastructure.
- System Stability: Ensure the stability and performance of our technology infrastructure while minimizing downtime and disruption.
- Technical Support: Diagnose and resolve hardware, software, and system issues, and respond to escalations via the IT Service Desk.
- Cyber Security: Assist in monitoring network and system activity, investigating security incidents, and implementing security measures.
- Examinations Support: Provide technical support for examination systems and equipment setup.
- General IT Support: Resolve user IT problems, assist in delivering technology projects, and support third-party service providers.
What you’ll need:
- CompTIA A+, CompTIA Network+, Microsoft 365 Certified: Fundamentals, or equivalent experience.
- Advanced knowledge of Microsoft 365 applications, Windows Server, Intune, and network infrastructure devices.
- Excellent interpersonal, oral, and written communication skills, with the ability to explain complex issues clearly.
- Strong critical thinking skills and the ability to identify workarounds and solutions.
- Self-motivated and able to work effectively within a team and collaboratively across the College.

ROLE SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES
· To be the first point of contact for general HR and recruitment queries.
· Be responsible for the administration of all key HR processes, including maintaining HR records; starters, leavers and contract changes; induction; types of leave and payroll processes; and recruitment.
· Provide routine advice to colleagues and managers on key policies and procedures, such as absence and annual leave, recruitment, probation, and payroll.
· To assist in developing and implementing process improvements for our people processes, ensuring that we continually seek to work in the most effective and efficient way possible.
· To maintain the HR Hub (our HR intranet page) to ensure that information is up to date and our people are able to easily access the information they need.
· To assist in the production of key reports relating to our KPls, diversity and workforce monitoring, including absence and turnover data.
· To coordinate and provide reports from exit interview and recruitment data.
· To work closely with our outsourced payroll bureau to ensure our payroll routines are followed and that we pay our people accurately and on time, whilst meeting HMRC and contractual regulations.
· To administer the recruitment process using our Applicant Tracking System (ATS), guiding hiring managers on process and best practice whilst ensuring that we recruit in a way which is inclusive and in line with our values.
· To ensure accurate employee records are maintained and stored safely, including HR, absence and training records.
· To assist with the coordination of training and events for our colleagues and line managers, including induction sessions, all staff meetings and development days.
· To support the development and delivery of the people strategy, ensuring that we support, develop and lead our people to fulfil their potential and deliver for our student members.
· To take notes at meetings, including formal staff processes and other meetings as required.
· To work within the parameters of KCLSU policies and external policy frameworks for example, GDPR and Right to Work compliance.
· To work closely and collaboratively with colleagues at all levels, from all teams across the organisation.
· To provide advice and guidance to our colleagues and managers on the processes and systems we use - including our HRIS, Payroll and Applicant Tracking System (ATS).
· To provide technical systems support to colleagues - including optimising our systems to ensure they work for us and troubleshooting when necessary.

We are seeking a Digital Manager to oversee the FSRH digital infrastructure, ensuring seamless integration across our website Content Management System (iMIS RiSE), member engagement platform (iMIS), and Learning Management System. The ideal candidate will expertly manage digital development initiatives, maintain productive relationships with technology suppliers, and deliver responsive first-line technical support.
With strong content management capabilities, you will ensure all web and LMS content adheres to brand guidelines, implement SEO best practice, and deliver an exceptional user experience. You will also facilitate comprehensive staff training, spearhead strategic digital improvements, and leverage analytics to drive data-informed decisions that enhance both member engagement and organisational effectiveness.
The role:
Team leadership
- To manage the FSRH Digital Team consisting of a Data Manager
Digital platform ownership
- Work closely with the Data Manager to ensure the integration between the website (iMIS RiSE), our Learning Management System and member engagement system (iMIS) continues to work well.
- Plan and support delivery of any development work from a website perspective in close collaboration with staff where necessary and with the website supplier and implementation partner, where necessary. This includes understanding and specifying business requirements sufficiently well for suppliers to quote against and undertake the required development work.
- To liaise with third party suppliers on a regular basis regarding integration between digital platforms including the website (iMIS RiSE) member engagement system (iMIS), LMS and other online products.
- Act as the first line of support for technical issues related to the FSRH website, associated websites, and the Learning Management System (LMS). Collaborate with staff and external developers to identify solutions and escalate issues to external support when necessary.
Website and LMS content
- Create, develop and manage content on the FSRH website and LMS, ensuring all updates align with the organisation’s tone of voice and brand guidelines. Apply knowledge of SEO best practices and user experience principles to enhance visibility, accessibility, and overall content effectiveness.
- Train and support identified staff to use the content management system (iMIS RiSE) and to understand the basics of good website copy. Ensure that content changes are of high standard and good quality.
- Consider user journeys in all aspects of content development and updates, ensuring that navigation and structure support intuitive and meaningful user experiences.
- To ensure processes for regularly reviewing, prioritising and refreshing all web content are maintained and overseen, liaising with teams across the organisation.
- Work closely with the Marketing Team to support key campaigns by providing website support where needed.
Website analytics
- Maintain and manage Google Analytics and Google Tag Manager implementations, using these and additional data sources to monitor website performance, produce regular reports, and deliver actionable recommendations for optimisation and feature enhancement.
- Using website analytics and other tools to understand user behaviour.
Strategic digital development
- Lead the strategic development and continuous improvement of the website to ensure they meet evolving user needs, support organisational objectives, and deliver content more effectively.
- Stay up-to-date with emerging website and digital trends, tools, and technologies, and advise on possible improvements or alternative approaches to digital solutions, particularly in areas such as Artificial Intelligence (AA) and machine-learning.

- To ensure all FSRH digital platforms and associated information adheres to Data Protection laws and current FSRH policies.
You will be:
- Educated to degree level or equivalent by experience
You will have:
- Previous experience in a similar digital management role
- Experience working with website Content Management Systems (CMS)
- Familiarity with Learning Management Systems (LMS)
- Knowledge of user experience (UX) principles
- A basic understanding of HTML
- A strong understanding of SEO, page optimisation, and website copywriting
- Technical understanding of digital systems and platforms
- Creativity in designing engaging, accurate content with a high level of attention to detail
- Experience using Google Analytics 4 and Google Tag Manager
- Experience and understanding of GDPR and its practical application
- Confidence in managing multiple projects and working with stakeholders across departments and seniority levels
- Excellent Microsoft Office skills, with a good working knowledge of Office 365
- Strong and positive communication skills, both written and verbal
- Willingness to work flexibly in response to changing priorities
