The Trust is part of the MacIntyre Care Group, a national charity founded in 1966 by a father, Ken Newton Wright, who wanted to ensure that disabled children could live and learn in an ambitious, child-centered and nurturing environment. Over 50 years later, this ideology remains at the heart of everything we do.
Endeavour Academy was opened by the Trust in 2014, it consists of a Endeavour School and an on-site residential home, Endeavour House. Endeavour Academy is for children and young people with autism and moderate or severe learning disabilities. The School and the House have separate leadership structures which work in close partnership, with some roles which work across both settings.
Endeavour House provides 6 permanent placements and 5 short break places used for respite provision. Since opening in 2014 the children’s home has had a strong track record in OFSTED judgements, with the more recent history presenting some challenges and opportunities for development. As the home approaches its 10th anniversary we are looking for an exceptional leader to take the home through the next chapter and drive forwards improvements.
The Role
As Head of Care (Registered Manager) you will have overall responsibility for the management, leadership and direction of the children’s home. You will work with the support of the Responsible Individual and the Trust Central Team.
The role will be busy and varied and you will take the operational lead for all safeguarding matters. You will also be responsible for training and supervision. You must be willing to go above and beyond for the children and young people, ensuring that they have a positive experience of childhood that they can reflect upon and carry with them into adulthood.
You will work in close partnership with the Principal and senior leadership team of the on-site school to ensure continuity of provision across the school and the home and the development of the 24-hour curriculum.
About You
You will be an inspirational and driven leader, with a strong track record of people management and ‘taking a team with you’. You will not be shy of a challenge, you will be innovative and solution focused. You will be passionate about team development and an experienced coach and mentor.
You will have significant experience of working in a residential childcare setting, and you will have previous management experience. You will have a commitment to delivering high quality care according to OFSTED regulations. You will also have a good understanding of SCCIF guidelines to help focus on the things that matter most to children’s lives.
You will have some in-depth knowledge of have Autism and Severe Learning difficulties and experience of designing bespoke solutions to children who requires specialist support strategies to achieve excellent outcomes.
A Level 5 Diploma in Leadership for Health and Social Care Services (Children and Young People’s Residential Management) qualification is a bonus but not essential as we support you to enroll and complete this. You must however have supervisory or management experience and have worked within a children’s residential setting within the last 5 years to meet OFSTED regulation requirements.
You will hold a current UK Driving License and have access to a vehicle which can be used for business purposes.

We are looking for a Practitioner (Criminal Justice Outreach Worker) to join our team in Aylesbury.
Your challenge? To provide advice, assessments, brief and structured interventions and group programmes. As a Practitioner (Criminal Justice Outreach Worker) in this role you will be the initial contact for referrals into the service from the courts and probation for clients who are being considered for a community sentence treatment requirement, conducting initial assessments via telephone, face to face and offering relevant and appropriate advice, harm minimisation, family interventions risk assessment and management, actioning onward referrals to partner agencies. Facilitating comprehensive assessments and interventions for people who are attending court or have recently been released from prison to encourage engagement in services. You will also be required to manage a caseload.
An energetic and confident self-starter, you have a qualification in health/social care, youth and community work (e.g. NVQ Level 3 or above, DipSW, Mental Health Nursing, Counselling, Addiction Studies). Alternatively, we’ll consider candidates with experience of working in the substance misuse field with a commitment to complete NVQ Level 3 Health and Social Care. As well as good knowledge of alcohol/drug and health related issues, you're used to liaising with voluntary and statutory agencies and health professionals and comfortable engaging with clients in a variety of service delivery settings. You will also have the ability to collaborate and work professionally with service users, families and external agencies to provide a service which maximises outcomes for service users. What’s more, you have a flexible approach, a commitment to the principles of confidentiality and excellent record keeping and Microsoft Office.
This is a permanent full-time role requiring the post holder to work 37 hours per week.

Head of Healthy Active Children

As a member of the Senior Leadership Team at Active Oxfordshire, the successful candidate will lead the development and growth of our Healthy Active Children strategic work, build relationships with partners, line manage two members of the team and ensure our Healthy Active Children programmes of work complement each other.

What we offer:
This is a fixed-term contract, initially for 18 months. The role is a part-time position, working 3 days / 22.5 hours per week.
You will receive a salary of £27,810 (based on a 22.5 hour week, which is a full-time equivalent salary of £46,350) and benefits including a generous 10% contributory pension scheme, Cycle to Work scheme, 38 days annual leave inclusive of bank holidays (pro rata) and our new bespoke Employee Support and Wellbeing Programme.
Hybrid working is available, which means typically one day a week is in the office (Monday) with the rest of the week working remotely from home, within the community or with partner organisations.

Our Digital Welfare Officers provide remote welfare support to RAF personnel and their immediate family, through the use of a variety of communication methods, i.e. Microsoft Teams, webchat, e-mail and social media platforms. As a trusted and confidential source of support, you will assist our service users with challenges they are facing, from mental ill-health, difficult relationships, domestic abuse, financial and cost-of-living concerns, resettlement, housing, childcare, equality issues, bereavement, military discharge or deployment and many more - no day will be the same, as such this is a great opportunity to develop your knowledge and skills within the Welfare sector.
Our intervention is provided with consent on a non-statutory basis, and you will work with and engage our service users to develop appropriate interventions for individual outcomes.
Our service is transitioning to become more accessible and inclusive, digital technology plays a key role in this, as such you will use digital technologies to complement and enhance processes and service user experience.
You will play an active role in engaging with local RAF welfare teams, as well as external agencies such as local authorities, health, education, civilian agencies, charities and other military organisations to ensure the best outcome for the service user.

About you
To thrive in this role, you will have relevant experience of supporting adults, families and children/young people. You will be able to take a flexible and creative approach to problem solving. Due to the remote working nature of the role, you will have excellent communication skills to identify and assess the service user’s needs and work alongside them to develop their personal support plan.
The successful candidate will need to demonstrate a strong proficiency in Microsoft Teams and a broad computer literacy that includes the ability to work across multiple applications simultaneously. Confidence in recording data into an electronic information management system is essential, as is the capacity to rapidly acquire new software and application skills. The ability to plan and manage your own workload with minimal supervision is a key requirement for this role. Prior experience in using other Microsoft Office 365 applications to a high standard will be advantageous.
It would be advantageous if you have experience of carrying out assessments, preparing plans, monitoring and reviewing outcomes.
This role is homebased in the UK, you must live in the UK to be eligible. There will be some travel required and therefore you will need to be able to drive and have access to your own car.

As Corporate Partnerships Manager – Midlands, you’ll be supported by the Senior Corporate Fundraising Manager (your line manager) and work alongside two Corporate Partnership Managers overseen by Head of Regional Corporate Partnerships. You will manage a varied and exciting portfolio of new and long-standing partners across the Midlands, including supporting on a 7-figure partnership (focused primarily on Midlands region). You will also focus on identifying, developing and winning new corporate support through Charity of the Year, commercial and strategic opportunities.
As Corporate Partnerships Manager – Midlands, you will:
- Support the corporate fundraising team in your region conveying regional expertise and corporate partnerships knowledge to internal and external stakeholders
