Who we are: Bromley & Croydon Women’s Aid is a well-established, innovative and forward-thinking local domestic abuse service. We are seeking a self-motivated, flexible and experienced individual to join our dynamic team to help us deliver excellent services to vulnerable women who have experienced domestic abuse and be committed to working in a non-discriminatory manner.  

About the role:  We are recruiting an Advocate Educator to work closely with GP practices in Bromley borough. You will promote the IRIS programme and offer training to GP practice staff, as well as providing one to one emotional and practical support to a caseload of clients experiencing domestic abuse.  IRISi is an evidence-based domestic abuse training and referral programme developed specifically for general practice, currently being delivered across 30+ areas of England and Wales. The successful applicant will have:  

• Experience of working with victims and survivors of domestic abuse and an understanding of the barriers to accessing support services 

• Experience of promoting services and building strong working relationships with external organisations  

• Experience of delivering training to a range of professionals  

• A full driving licence and access to a vehicle in order to travel to GP practices across Bromley

We are looking for an experienced Housing Advisor with excellent communication and interpersonal skills who is passionate about enabling people to overcome homelessness and poverty.  You will have gained a minimum of two years’ experience of housing advice and casework through paid or other voluntary experience. A legal qualification would be an advantage.

You will be part of a friendly and supportive team of experienced housing advisors and welfare rights specialists.  You will use your in-depth knowledge and experience of providing specialist housing advice to provide a structured information, advice and casework service to clients of the centre in housing law, housing options and aspects of welfare benefits that relate to housing and homelessness. You will manage your own caseload and provide advice, support and training to staff who are not specialists in this area to enable them to assist clients with less complex enquiries.

You will be able to draw on the support offered by colleagues from the Centre’s other teams (Assessment and Advice, Immigration, Employment and Learning, Family Services and Supported Accommodation) to ensure that your clients have access to the help need not only to deal with their immediate housing problem, but also to tackle any underlying issues and to build resilience against similar issues arising again.

The Assessment, Advocacy & Advice Lead will provide frontline services to people diagnosed with HIV in Lewisham, Southwark and Lambeth as part of the Bridges partnership and South West London and Wandsworth HIV Support project. Job Summary

To be the initial point of contact for customers accessing Huddersfield Mission services. To provide initial stage advice and assistance on a variety of needs. About the role:

The Senior Multiple Needs Independent Domestic Violence Advisor (IDVA) will work within a dynamic, crisis intervention, advocacy and support service based at the CGL Ealing Women’s Wellness Zone.  The IDVA will provide support in the local community and at the Ealing Women’s Wellness Zone.  The successful candidate will be co-located up to 5 days a week at the Women’s Wellness Zone.

The IDVA will be closely working alongside CGL colleagues/team to deliver support to women with a range of complex support needs including substance misuse, mental health, domestic abuse, sex working, trafficking, and offending behaviour. The IDVA will work in collaboration with their team members to holistically support women in the borough of Ealing to achieve sustained recovery, improved health and wellbeing, helping women to manage/mitigate risks, and empowering them to reach their fullest potential in society as well as ensuring the voice of survivors informs every stage of the process.

The Senior Multiple Needs IDVA will assess the needs and risks of survivors, carry out short and longer-term risk management, safety planning and support. As well as identify and refer to services appropriate to their needs. They will also proactively advocate and advice women of their rights and options for seeking help and support from other agencies, encouraging them to engage with other agencies, and help co-ordinate the provision of multi-agency support where necessary.

To be successful as the Senior Multiple Needs IDVA you will need to have:

Excellent understanding of domestic abuse and its effects on women and children, of best practice in supporting survivors of domestic abuse, and of the MARAC. As well as understanding of drug and alcohol issues and experience of working within a related field.

Bringing your experience of risk and needs assessment, safety and support planning, and crisis planning and successfully managing high numbers of referrals and experience of working in a co-located setting with another agency and providing consultations/briefings to professionals to support in upskilling them around Domestic Abuse. The candidate will have experience of partnership working and of maintaining excellent working relationships with a range of stakeholders.

This is an exciting opportunity for you to work as part of an innovative service, designed to offer multi-disciplinary wrap-around support to women with multiple needs, with the aim of facilitating long-term recovery.

The Pastoral Care Co-ordinator ensures all artists and project participants are able to maximise the benefits of participating in ActionSpace activities and supports them in realising their personal potential by ensuring accessibility and co-ordinating support needs. 

The ideal candidate will have at least five years experience of working with learning disabled adults, particularly those with high support needs, and experience of developing and implementing access and behaviour support plans. They will have a comprehensive working knowledge of the needs and rights of learning disabled people, the relevant statutory authorities, legislation and public policy around accessibility and social care, be committed toworking in an anti-discriminatory way, with a positive view of learning disabled people. Over 50 years later, this ideology remains at the heart of everything we do. 

Endeavour Academy was opened by the Trust in 2014, it consists of a Endeavour School and an on-site residential home, Endeavour House. Endeavour Academy is for children and young people with autism and moderate or severe learning disabilities.  The School and the House have separate leadership structures which work in close partnership, with some roles which work across both settings. 

Endeavour House provides 6 permanent placements and 5 short break places used for respite provision.  Since opening in 2014 the children’s home has had a strong track record in OFSTED judgements, with the more recent history presenting some challenges and opportunities for development. As the home approaches its 10th anniversary we are looking for an exceptional leader to take the home through the next chapter and drive forwards improvements. 

The Role 

As Head of Care (Registered Manager) you will have overall responsibility for the management, leadership and direction of the children’s home. You will work with the support of the Responsible Individual and the Trust Central Team. 

The role will be busy and varied and you will take the operational lead for all safeguarding matters. You will also be responsible for training and supervision. You must be willing to go above and beyond for the children and young people, ensuring that they have a positive experience of childhood that they can reflect upon and carry with them into adulthood. 

You will work in close partnership with the Principal and senior leadership team of the on-site school to ensure continuity of provision across the school and the home and the development of the 24-hour curriculum. 

About You 

You will be an inspirational and driven leader, with a strong track record of people management and ‘taking a team with you’. You will not be shy of a challenge, you will be innovative and solution focused. You will be passionate about team development and an experienced coach and mentor. 

You will have significant experience of working in a residential childcare setting, and you will have previous management experience. You will have a commitment to delivering high quality care according to OFSTED regulations. You will also have a good understanding of SCCIF guidelines to help focus on the things that matter most to children’s lives. 

You will have some in-depth knowledge of have Autism and Severe Learning difficulties and experience of designing bespoke solutions to children who requires specialist support strategies to achieve excellent outcomes.

A Level 5 Diploma in Leadership for Health and Social Care Services (Children and Young People’s Residential Management) qualification is a bonus but not essential as we support you to enroll and complete this. You must however have supervisory or management experience and have worked within a children’s residential setting within the last 5 years to meet OFSTED regulation requirements. 

You will hold a current UK Driving License and have access to a vehicle which can be used for business purposes.

About the role:

This role is based in our Old Street office with flexibility of hybrid working. As a Children & Young people's Independent Domestic Violence Advisor you will be required to:

• Effectively manage a caseload of different risk level cases of young people and provide specialist support to reduce the risk and increase safety.
• Provide one to one support to children and young people living in families affected by domestic abuse.
• Work collaboratively with LVWS IDVAs and other relevant support services to achieve the best outcomes for the family unit.

As a CYP IDVA:

• You will have a thorough understanding of the current issues for children and young people experiencing domestic abuse
• Experience of carrying out comprehensive needs and risk assessments; to ensure CYP's receive an individually tailored support package that fully meets their identified needs, including safety planning, advocacy, emotional and practical support.
