Harris Hill are delighted to be working with a fantastic charity to recruit for Community and Events Manager to develop and deliver an ambitious community and events fundraising programme across the UK.

This is an exciting opportunity for a proactive and creative fundraising professional who is passionate about building relationships, inspiring supporters and developing innovative ways to generate sustainable income.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Developing and delivering the charity's national Community and Events Fundraising Strategy and annual operational plans.
• Growing community fundraising and building relationships with families, schools, clubs, community groups, faith groups and local businesses.
• Developing supporter journeys that encourage participation, repeat giving and long-term engagement.
• Planning and delivering a portfolio of special events, including a Carol Service, Supper Club and Golf Day.
• Managing participation in challenge events, including the London Marathon, half marathons, walks, skydives, cycling events and other third-party fundraising activities.
• Researching and launching new fundraising events aligned with supporter interests and organisational priorities.
• Ensuring events achieve agreed income and return-on-investment targets while delivering outstanding supporter experiences.
• Building relationships with key supporters, committees, ambassadors and partners.
• Developing effective stewardship and recognition programmes.
• Working with colleagues across Communications, Marketing, Corporate Partnerships and Philanthropy to maximise fundraising opportunities.
• Managing budgets, monitoring expenditure and forecasting income.
• Using data and insight to improve supporter engagement and fundraising performance.
• Ensuring fundraising activity complies with GDPR, Fundraising Regulator guidance, safeguarding requirements and relevant charity policies.
• Line managing two to three Fundraising Officers and an Administrator, supporting their development and creating a collaborative, high-performing team culture.

About You

We are looking for an experienced fundraiser with a proven track record in community fundraising, events fundraising or another supporter led income stream.

You will bring:

• Proven experience of successfully delivering community and/or events fundraising.
• Strong relationship building and communication skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate a diverse range of supporters.
• Experience managing and delivering successful fundraising events.
• Experience working with families, volunteers, community groups or local organisations.
• Previous line management and team development experience.
• Excellent project management skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously.
• Experience using fundraising databases and working with supporter data.
• A proactive, creative and collaborative approach to fundraising.

Salary & Benefits

• Salary: £41,000 - £44,000 per annum
• Contract type: Permanent, full time
• Location: London, hybrid working, minimum 1 day a week in the office
• Deadline: on rolling basis
