- Complete effective and efficient welfare case management of a complex caseload of beneficiaries facing multiple disadvantages, ensuring accurate and up-to-date records.
- To work in a trauma-informed way, understanding the impact of trauma, recognising its signs, and creating a safe and supportive environment for beneficiaries and colleagues. This includes implementing professional practices that foster safety, trustworthiness, collaboration, and empowerment, while actively avoiding re-traumatisation.
- Complete face-to-face visits at the beneficiaries’ home or out in the community, as appropriate and in line with RBL visit policy, to meet beneficiary needs.

We are seeking an individual to raise awareness of the Fund’s welfare offer amongst social welfare agencies across the North East of Scotland but also, crucially, to help address the issue of social isolation and feelings of loneliness experienced by some members of the RAF Family.

The post holder will be working with socially isolated individuals to identify meaningfully enriching opportunities to reduce feelings of loneliness, some of whom may have complex and challenging welfare needs, to develop actions plans and coordinate support to overcome any barriers preventing successful connection into these enriching opportunities, assisting them by identifying appropriate support from within the RAF Benevolent Fund and the wider statutory and military charity sector.

The successful candidate will have experience of working in a social welfare role supporting individuals, have strong people and relationship-building skills, as well as empathy with or understanding of the issues affecting the Armed Forces community. The purpose of the Employability Programme Facilitator role is to deliver FSSW’s FareChance programme, including employability learning and practical logistics sessions alongside support and collaboration with the Employability lead. The FareChance programme works with young people aged between 18 – 25 who experience additional barriers to accessing education, training or employment.  The young people are supported to learn new skills, build confidence and realise their full potential. Farechance provides a unique combination of two parts: the first is working alongside other volunteers and staff learning key warehouse and logistics skills, getting firsthand practical experience; the second is tailored employability sessions in small groups with 1-1 specialist support.

The facilitator will lead on running the employability and logistics sessions, with co-facilitation from volunteers or the employability lead where needed. This role will provide 1-1 support for young people where required and provide signposting and referrals to other specialist services. The successful candidate will be passionate about supporting people to thrive and be sensitive to the inequality and power imbalance faced by young people today. They will have experience of supporting young people to achieve their goals and can bring these skills to deliver FareChance. This role will coach as well as co-ordinate the programme whilst supporting the growth of an innovative, supportive, and caring employability pathway for people to overcome barriers and move closer to the future they deserve.

· Lead the delivery of the FareChance Programme on site with the Vale Lane warehouse team, working flexibly to ensure success

Prospect Research Officer
Our client is an astounding group of professionals who believe that people’s sight matters. They have ambitious growth plans to increase the investment they are able to make in life changing eye health by supporting the work of a specialist eye hospital and its academic partner and funding innovative research, equipment, patient care and training through the delivery of innovative programmes of fundraising work. The team is looking to appoint a prospect research officer and Prospectus is leading the search. This role is offered on a 0.6 FTE basis.

The prospect research officer will develop and maintain a healthy prospect pipeline in order to provide the philanthropy team with an appropriate number and quality of qualified prospects across individuals, corporate, and trusts and foundations. The officer will produce insightful background research on current and prospective donors using financial, biographical, corporate and philanthropic information from trusted sources and compliance with GPDR and data protection laws. Reporting to the prospect research manager, they will regularly review the prospect research strategy in response to changing internal requirements.

The selected candidate will have experience with and understanding of the principles of philanthropy, fundraising practices, donor motivations and wealth indicators and will have experience of conducting structure background research on HNWIs, company Directors, and/or family Trust and Foundation Boards. This person will also have experience of producing accurate overview research on donors and prospects and will have the ability to help manage systems to support prospect pipeline management.

About You and The Role

Working as part of the Health & Care Quality team and within a designated geographical region (Southwest Region, which includes areas such as Hampshire, Wiltshire, Devon, Cornwall and South Wales), the SCI specialist nurse will support those with newly acquired spinal cord injuries who are not admitted to specialist services, or those with established spinal cord injuries who are being re-admitted to hospital for treatment unrelated to their impairment.

Through telephone, email or face-to-face visits the SCI specialist nurse will offer guidance and advice to these individuals and/or their family members, addressing issues of concern associated with treatment and care and liaising on their behalf with healthcare professionals in the treating hospitals to ensure these are dealt with in line with best practice standards.

The SCI specialist nurse will also act as an educator for healthcare professionals involved in the treatment and care of spinal cord injured people and working in non-specialist settings and will contribute to the development and delivery of educational offerings available via the SIA Frank Williams Academy. When required, the SCI nurse specialist will support individuals through elements of the NHS Continuing Health Care assessment process, attending review or appeal hearings in their capacity as clinical specialist in SCI care. They will also contribute to the monitoring, evaluation and development of the SCI specialist nurse service via mechanisms put in place for that purpose.

Key Responsibilities

• Cultivating and recruiting new and existing supporters and volunteers to participate in a range of third-party fundraising events
• Building and developing trusted relationships, in particular with our families to support fundraising, storytelling and volunteering
• Working with the National Community Fundraising Manager to build a strategy for your region, build relationships, and grow income

We have a unique opportunity for a Clinician and Supervisor to join Northpoint. This role will involve working across Calderdale to support low intensity clinical supervision to a number of Education Mental Health Practitioners (EMHPs), as well as holding your own caseload.

What you will be doing as our Clinician and Supervisor:  

Day to day, you can expect to be supporting school settings to develop their understanding of the Mental Health Support Team (MHST) and EMHP role.

You will hold your own caseload, providing direct support to students, pupils and families at a higher level of need than EMHP support and/or working alongside EMHPs as necessary. 

You will be supporting EMHPs with caseload management supervision and clinical skills, this includes trainee EMHP’s who are on their journey through university to qualification. 

You may also be on your own training journey to complete a low intensity supervision course if you are not yet qualified as a supervisor. You will work alongside other mental health teams in Northpoint as well as wider Calderdale services.

What are we looking for in our ideal Clinician and supervisor:

• Already qualified as a supervisor, or able to meet the criteria for training (see specification).

• Two or more years working therapeutically, clinically or consultatively within a children and young people’s educational or mental health setting, with children and young people with mental health difficulties and their families.

• Experience of working in or with education settings and multi-agency working.

• Experience of delivering CBT informed practice.

• Experience of monitoring performance and outcomes.

• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.

• Ability to teach, train and provide clear consultation.
