What you’ll do

ShareAction’s Financial Sector Research team works towards holding financial institutions accountable for their impact on globally important challenges such as tackling climate change, upholding human rights and reversing biodiversity loss.

Asset managers, insurance companies and banks hold a huge amount of influence over the world’s largest companies through their investment and underwriting activities. Our reports rank many of the world’s largest financial institutions on their approach to environmental and social issues, pushing for and facilitating change in the financial sector.

In this role, you will have the opportunity to:

• Lead the delivery of our 2026 benchmark of some of the world’s largest insurance companies (following our 2024 report), using your project management and research skills to ensure timely delivery of a high-quality publication and support the development of junior researchers in the team.
• Coordinate with civil society allies, executing the survey in collaboration with external partners for the first time, as well as continuing to work synergistically with other leading global NGOs.
• Present our work externally and engage with financial institutions, regulators, and industry bodies to provide detailed recommendations for improvement, supporting parallel workstreams on our benchmarks of asset managers and European banks.

Leading a small team of dedicated researchers within the Financial Sector Research team, you will support the Head of the team to ensure delivery of the insurance sector benchmark, one of ShareAction’s key reports ranking financial institutions. This involves organising the team to collect information from institutions and databases, analyse quantitative and qualitative data, produce engaging graphics to communicate results and translate this analysis into actionable steps for financial institutions to take. You would collaborate with teams across ShareAction and strengthen connections with other NGOs and external experts to ensure the rigour of this research.

This is a very exciting time to be joining the team. ShareAction is currently reviewing our strategy for work on the insurance sector, and this role therefore presents an opportunity to help shape the dialogue on how the benchmarks connect with engagement and campaigning expertise in ShareAction to achieve maximum impact.

We are looking for a person with excellent project management and communication skills, experience of research and a passion to make a difference within the financial sector at a challenging and critical time.

This will be a 6-month fixed-term position to cover the leave for an existing role.

What you’ll bring to the team

Essential

• Demonstrated experience in project management, with excellent organisational and time management skills.
• Proven ability to manage competing demands and support junior staff members to deliver high-quality work and meet deadlines.
• Strong research experience in one or more of the following areas: economics, finance, sustainability, climate, biodiversity, labour rights, or public health.
• A good understanding of responsible investment and its implications for different types of financial institutions, as well as the current state of play, trends and challenges.
• Line management experience and the ability to motivate and develop a small, dedicated team of driven researchers.
• Proven ability to handle relationships with multiple external stakeholders.
• Any experience programming (ideally in Python) and interest in further developing this expertise.
• Advanced Excel skills.
• Strong communication skills in written and spoken English.
• A passion for the work ShareAction does and for making change happen.

Desirable

• Experience working in or with the finance sector.
• Experience in conducting surveys and/or carrying out qualitative or quantitative research on financial institutions.
• Experience integrating innovative tools into research processes, particularly AI tools.
• Deep subject matter knowledge in climate change, biodiversity, human rights and/or public health.
• Experience of project management in a matrix management environment.
• Experience with Microsoft Office 365, particularly SharePoint.
• Experience with CRM systems, ideally Salesforce.
• Any experience programming (ideally in Python) and interest in further developing this expertise.

What the job involves

We’re looking for a Customer Experience Executive to join our team on a fixed term basis covering an internal secondment. This is a fantastic opportunity for a proactive, people-orientated, Customer Experience/ Supporter Care professional to join an established team at one of the most dynamic charities in the UK.

You’ll be a critical part of the Customer Experience and Engagement Team in our Communications Directorate. You’ll have experience using a CRM system (like Raiser’s Edge) and understand the importance of handling sensitive data in line with GDPR regulations. Ideally, you’ll also have a good understanding of fundraising rules, including Gift Aid.

CRM and Customer Data Lead

We’re looking for an enthusiastic and motivated CRM and Customer Data Lead to join the Data Services Team.

The Role

Reporting to the Head of Data Services, the CRM and Customer Data Lead will ensure that the charity get the most out of the CRM data so that it can deliver insight driven selections and segmentations for the whole organisation, supporting and collaborating with colleagues to reach and engage with customers in a compliant and customer-centred way.

Key responsibilities will include:

• Oversight and continuous improvement of CRM data.
• Selection analysis and visualisations that support product owners to have a deeper understanding of our customers.
• Lead on increasing the utilisation of selection and marketing automation products such as Apteco Faststats and Peoplestage to automate customer journeys.
• Oversight and continuous improvement of Third party and Internal Data imports and exports with a focus on increasing the knowledge and utilisation of the organisations ETL tools such as Blender to provide business continuity and consistent, clean data quality.

About You

You will have a proven record of:

• Managing, developing and using a CRM database to meet organisation needs.
• Change management projects to support an organisation in better use of data and insight.
• Designing, building and implementing customer segmentation and models.
• Customer and product journeys within a marketing automation environment.

About the role

Very much a customer-facing role, we’ll rely on you to provide IT support in a professional manner and take responsibility for resolving calls within agreed SLAs. Day-to-day you’ll receive and accurately log service desk calls, provide initial troubleshooting and aim to achieve a first call resolution where possible. As well as managing and resolving multiple 1st and 2nd line support incidents you’ll also be expected to provide users with regular updates. In addition, all updates and closure details will need to be recorded using IT Service Management software and you’ll also be required to carry out some basic systems administration tasks.

Role specifics

Highly analytical and adept at providing good customer service, you’ll need a good level of technical understanding of PC desktop infrastructure, software applications, peripheral devices and account management. We’ll also be looking for great problem solving and logical troubleshooting skills. Experience of explaining technical issues to a non-technical audience is important too, as is an understanding and awareness of Incident Management techniques. And, because you’ll be dealing with a variety of people on a daily basis, you should be comfortable liaising at all levels and working as part of a team.

Age UK Richmond upon Thames is a local independent charity supporting older people across the London Borough of Richmond upon Thames. We provide a wide range of useful and well utilised local services in Richmond upon Thames designed to improve wellbeing and enhance independence – including information & advice; a wide range of social & wellbeing centres and sessions; support after hospital discharge; digital skills development; Dementia Friendly Richmond; mental health peer support and home services such as handyperson, housekeeping and gardening. Partnership is a core part of our work – we work in close collaboration with other voluntary sector partners and wider organisations to maximise our impact and reach. Our friendly and committed team of 50 staff and 100+ volunteers support over 4,000 local older people each year.

We currently have an excellent administrator opportunity for flexible and proactive individual to join our Nightingale Home from Hospital service, which provides much needed free support to local older people who have been discharged from hospital or become unwell in the community – with a particular emphasis on those living alone and without family support. 

Our small team of team & volunteers are  involved in organising and delivering tasks which facilitate a speedy hospital discharge and make homes safer to avoid admission – including fitting keysafes, moving furniture, shopping, giving advice and coordinating with health & social teams. 

This busy role will include:

- Taking referrals into the service and adding to the CRM / database.

- Updating CRM / database and gathering information for the team to support clients.

- Coordinating Nightingale staff and volunteers to ensure tasks essential for a safe discharge are complete.

- Ensure the individual receives the support/services they need taking a holistic approach – working and communicating with staff, referrers, clients, family members, carers, social workers, hospitals and other Age UK Richmond and voluntary sector services. 

We are looking for an individual with excellent administration and IT skills with experience in a health or social care related field being highly desirable. A proactive, enthusiastic and highly organised approach is also essential.

About the Role

We have a strong Fundraising & Communications team with a clear strategy in place to achieve growth of voluntary income from £2.7m-£4.1m a year by 2028. We’re seeking an innovative and driven fundraiser to lead some of our less-developed areas of Fundraising to achieve the potential that we know that they have. This includes Major Gifts, Trust Fundraising and Legacies, and supporting our Service Delivery team to identify opportunities and submit Statutory tenders as appropriate.

In addition to leading on the strategic planning for growth in the areas outlined above, you’ll be confident in establishing relationships across the organisation, collating the data and information needed to ensure that Fundraisers are able to build an excellent case for support to take to their donors. You’ll also be excited about helping us to incorporate our clients’ lived experience of homelessness into our fundraising activity wherever possible.

About The Role

We are looking for a Gift Aid Specialist to join the Royal British Legion on a fixed-term, 12-month contract to lead a review and enhancement of our Gift Aid processes'. Along with undertaking regular business activities and tasks. This role offers the chance to work closely with multiple teams to maximise Gift Aid income and ensure full compliance with HMRC regulations across more than £100 million of fundraised income. You will be the key point of contact for Gift Aid matters, supporting the organisation to strengthen its financial foundation in support of our important mission.

You will help embed robust monitoring and reporting frameworks, manage change programmes, and ensure that compliance and risk are effectively managed. Representing the Royal British Legion in dealings with HMRC and external auditors will be an important responsibility, requiring strong communication and organisational skills.
