The Role
The deputy manager would support the manager with recruiting and managing the large staff team, creating a culture of positive behaviour support within a personalised environment, embedding quality standards, achieving and progressing good outcomes with the people we support. As well as managing the service safely within the regulations and standard required by CQC.
You will act as a role model in the delivery of active support you will promote and maintain person centred approaches and inclusive community links to achieve positive outcomes with the people we support from the frontline staff team.
Skills and Expertise
· To share our values of enabling, empowering and engaging and implement these
· A minimum of 1 years’ experience of providing support to people with learning disabilities/ autism and or complex needs and or behaviours of concern
· Have excellent communication skills and be able to build positive relationships with internal and external partners – staff, professionals, people we support, families
· Be confident in using your own initiative able to deputise for the Service Manager
· Have strong IT skills and able to manage own time and work under pressure
· Creativity, motivation and enthusiasm to bring new ideas into the service and to implement these to shape the service as part of continuous improvement
· QCF Level 5 in Leadership for Health and Social Care, or equivalent or willingness to gain a qualification
· Experience of staff management and the ability to lead and develop a large team ensuring staff are appropriately trained
· Experience of carrying out needs assessments and creating support and risk management plans for people with complex needs
· The ability to deliver the service in accordance with an individual support plans, the service specification and CQC requirements
· A commitment to providing high quality, personalised active support
· Knowledge of managing a budget is desirable

About the Service

The Floating Support Worker (FSW) supports victim/survivors of domestic abuse living in safe accommodation, at any level of risk, on a needs-led basis.
About the Role
As the FSW you will carry out risk and needs assessments, safety planning and support planning with survivors and advocate on their behalf with external agencies. You will provide ongoing casework support, including referrals to specialist advice and practical support, such as legal advice around civil and criminal remedies. You will empower survivors with information on their rights and options, demystifying complex statutory systems and dispelling myths perpetuated by perpetrators and wider society and will provide support to maintain accommodation, or to source permanent accommodation as necessary.
About You
You will have a passion for working with victim/survivors and a thorough understanding of domestic abuse and its impact on women and their children, as well as experience of providing emotional and practical support and strong casework management skills.
You will have the skills to provide effective crisis intervention, carry out risk assessments, safety planning, assessment of needs and individual support planning

The Educational Mental Health Practitioner (EMHP) Programme is a one-year postgraduate diploma course which is part of the child mental health workforce development programme. The course started in January 2019 to train graduate entry practitioners to the child and young people mental health workforce. It is a key part of the Green Paper proposals to establish mental health workers in schools and contribute to increasing the workforce set out by the government by 2025.
The Course Tutor will support teaching delivery on the Pg Dip in Educational Mental Health Practitioner programme. Subject to candidate availability and interest, there is also an opportunity for the postholder to support the delivery of other low intensity and Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT)-based trainings offered within Postgraduate Studies at the Centre.
The ideal candidate will have a recognised qualification in a core mental health profession of Clinical Psychology, Child Psychotherapy, Family Therapy or Child and Adolescent Psychiatry and/ or have specific training in CBT. The post-holder will also need to have experience working with children, young people, and families with psychological/emotional difficulties in a mental health service and/ or educational setting.

Established in 1997, Jigsaw4u provide a range of services for children, young people and families experiencing complex social and emotional difficulties in South West London. As a member of our Senior Management Team (SMT), you will help to deliver and shape Jigsaw4u's vision and strategy. - Ensure that the structure of all Jigsaw4u services are optimised to allow for growth and support staff and volunteers (including trainee counsellors/therapists) to develop key skills.
- Maintain knowledge and awareness of best practice within the charitable sector (and other sectors where relevant), to inform and update Jigsaw4u so that we take advantage of the latest approaches to change, innovation and development which can have a positive impact on children, young people and families affected by complex social and emotional difficulties.
- Work proactively and collaboratively to identify innovation and business improvement within the Service Management Team to define and agree Target Operating Models and oversee implementation and ongoing review. Use insight, evaluation and analysis to continually inform and refine practice.
- Play a full part in the development of the SMT and deputise for the CEO as required. Work closely with the Service Management Team to develop and deliver an outstanding approach to people management, building a learning culture that delivers high quality, extensive support enabling people to achieve their best as a team.
- Represent Jigsaw4u at formal meetings with funders and other stakeholders and through submission of reports and data requests. Establish new, and strengthen existing, external relationships to promote Jigsaw4u’s profile, influence and reputation.

About this key role
Our successful candidate will lead by example, be the day-to-day expert within the team and be a positive role model to the team of caseworkers, escalating any concerns to the Team Leader or Service Manager as required. Working as part of a multi-disciplinary team, we will rely on you to provide support, advice and advocacy for young people and their families regarding accommodation, and to produce support and risk management plans based on assessments, while also delivering a holistic support service that will include practical help such as social and housing support, ETE options, benefits work, debt advice, liaising with utilities, appearing in court, and cleaning.
