Our Action for Young Carers service helps young people aged 5-18. As part of a small team of Support Workers you will work closely with Young Carers and their families in Nottingham City. The attributes of AYC Support Worker would be.

It is essential that you are a driver and car user as the role entails travel throughout Nottingham City and you will need to transport Young Carers to and from various activities.

Home Start Derby Senior Co-ordinator

The role
We are looking for a senior co-ordinator to work as part of a small team based across Derby and parts of Derbyshire. Responsibilities include assessing families and young children’s needs and matching them to volunteers. Supervising, training & supporting volunteers. Liaising with referrers and delivering input to young children and families through scheduled group work and home visiting. As the senior coordinator you will also have a role in caseload management and take a lead on our South Derbyshire operation. A driving license and the willingness to make regular travel for work is a necessity.
The candidate
We want to hear from you if you have parenting experience and an understanding of family’s needs and children’s early years’ development. A sound knowledge of safeguarding practise, ability to work under own initiative, able to motivate others and confident IT skills are expected.

Role: Subcontracted Therapists
Salary: £30 per attended session
An opportunity has arisen for Subcontracted Therapists to work with a dynamic and professional charity. Due to recent demand in services, we are looking for Sub-contracted Therapists to cover the Derbyshire area.
The fee per attended session is £30, you will be paid £15 for DNA and cancellations within 24 hours, you will also be paid a £30 per month admin retainer.
Applicants will need their own premises or therapy room, up-to-date insurance, a work laptop/device which is in line with safeguarding requirements, and an approved antivirus software.
The purpose of this role is:
- To work therapeutically, with either or both young people aged 0 – 17 year old and adults 18+ across Derbyshire, who have experienced sexual abuse or rape at any point
- To deliver therapeutic support either face to face and/or remotely
- To work within professional guidelines and the overall framework of the agency’s policies and procedures
Main Duties and Responsibilities
- To provide face to face and/or remote counselling to young people and/or adults
- To work with approximately 4 clients
- To provide clinical assessments and ongoing sessions
- Tailor support package, as far as possible for each individual client
- To participate and collaborate with Independent Sexual Violence Advisor and/or Children’s Independent Sexual Violence Advisor (ISVA’s/ChISVA) and other team members to provide specialist clinical services as required
- To monitor clinical progress through regular reviews and the use of outcome measures set out by the organisation
- Maintain confidentiality in line with SV2’s information governance policies.
- To support and liaise closely with practitioners and professionals in SV2 and other external organisations
- Adhere to the BACP Code of Ethics adopted by SV2
- To attend external supervision in line with BACP requirements

The Organisation is a Charity supporting victims of sexual violence across Derbyshire. The aims of the Charity are; to reduce the impact of rape and sexual abuse on victims (male and female, adults and children) and their families; to encourage reporting of rape and sexual abuse; to support victims through the legal process and; to reduce the incidence of rape and sexual abuse by raising awareness.

- A recognised qualification in counselling or psychotherapy to at least diploma level 4.
- Safeguarding training.
- At least 450 hours post qualifying counselling practice, supervised by a qualified supervisor.
- A minimum of 2 years’ experience of working specifically with this client group.
- Extensive knowledge & awareness of rape, sexual abuse, rape trauma syndrome and their effects within the therapeutic setting.
- Registration with BACP or similar.
- Good communication skills, written and oral including an ability to write reports
- Good IT skills. Experience of working with: email (outlook or gmail), word, excel, databases
- Driving licence and access to a car with business insurance as may be required to travel around the county.

Role: Single Point of Access Officer (Initial Triage and Assessment)
Salary: £16,269 per annum
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Single Point of Access Officer to be a part of our developing team at a dynamic and professional charity.
The purpose of this role is to undertake initial assessments to identify the individual client’s risk and needs at the point of entry to the Organisation and determine allocation to the right internal support service and/or referral or signposting to other external providers.
This is a new role and will form part of the Organisations ‘one stop shop’ support for victims of sexual assault and abuse with the postholder often being the first point of contact for new clients.
The position is 22.5 Hours, Monday to Wednesday. With a competitive salary of £16,269 per annum (£27,115 FTE) and a company pension scheme. The role is primarily based at our office in Alfreton, Derbyshire but you may also be required to work from our Derby office. The Organisation offers an enhanced annual leave scheme and ongoing skills development and training.

Single Point of Access Officer Main Duties:
- Provide a telephone or online assessment service within a specified timescale, the aim to offer appropriate support in the right place, at the right time
- Make an assessment of mental health needs and determine the most appropriate support required to manage mental issues at that time
- Learn about individuals’ specific needs and risks as well as strengths, assets and wishes and provide appropriate advice, information and support
- Determine allocation of new clients to specific service areas within the Organisation
- Make referrals and/or signpost clients to other appropriate external agencies
- Update the Organisations case management system following assessment and any other contacts
- Liaise with other agencies, as required
- Provide information and reports for managers, as required
- Sensitive and intuitive approach helping to empower and support service user independence
- Knowledge of the local available provision for mental health support and ability to set up new pathways as need is identified
- Raise awareness of services in line with the Organisations Communications Strategy
Single Point of Access Officer Necessary Skills, Qualifications and Experience:
- At least one years’ experience of working directly with individuals with complex needs, including mental health
- Evidence of practice-based training in a relevant field such as mental health, complex needs, etc
- Experience of undertaking assessments or developing support plans for individuals
- Working knowledge of safeguarding in relation to children and vulnerable adults
- Able to build relationships with partners agencies and other professionals
- Able to communicate in a concise and professional manner with a range of staff at various levels, both internal and external to the organisation
- Should be competent in the use of IT i.e. Word, Outlook, Excel, etc
- Driving licence and access to a car with business insurance
