Operating within the Management Accounting team, the role holder will act as a Management Accountant for the business area(s) for which they are made responsible. Working directly with budget holders / project owners, Heads of Department and Directors, they will manage all aspects of their management accounting and financial planning services providing incisive, value-add financial support and analysis which facilitates effective decision making.

The role:

• Be responsible for the provision of timely, accurate, relevant management information to all levels of management within assigned Directorate(s), regularly reviewing this information with the senior management team. This will include provision of monthly reports, critical review of results, value-add analysis, explanation of variances and early identification of potential issues / opportunities.
• Proactively provide improvements to procedures, applying sound judgement based on knowledge and experience.
• Be responsible for providing analysis that informs and supports effective decision making
• Apply various tools such as investment appraisal techniques to better inform decision making.
• Support the business in gathering evidence to assess the costs, benefits and risks of a wide range of delivery options when making commercial decisions, and provide advice which helps secure value-for-money (vfm).
• Support the business in the development of detailed business cases.
• Build strong and positive relationships with budget holders and senior managers (notably heads of Departments), providing the necessary assistance and professional advice to assist them with the financial aspects of their duties.

The successful candidate will:

• Be a fully qualified Accountant.
• Have strong analytical skills, able to identify and interpret trends and improve financial forecasting
• Have the ability to understand the strategic business goals of an organisation, able to ‘look beyond the numbers’ and understand the wider business context.
• Be a team player, with exceptional interpersonal skills, able to work with a diverse and broad range of stakeholders across the organisation. Demonstrable ability to influence.
• Have good written and oral communication skills, able to communicate clearly, concisely, accurately and in ways that promote understanding but stands ground when needed
• Have strong finance system skills including advanced Excel skills

• An understanding of accounting policy and an appreciation of the implications for an organisation of Government legislation and accounting standards

This position will be based officially at the head office in Kew and will require the postholder to work from the office three days a week.

Organisation Overview

CDS UK (the Clinic for Dissociative Studies) is a psychotherapy service, established 25 years ago to provide assessment and long-term specialist outpatient treatment to people with dissociative disorders. Its patients have often suffered the most extreme forms of abuse over a long period, and represent one of the most vulnerable and complex client groups. CDS UK is a Charitable Incorporated Organisation (CIO) and an Independent Provider to the NHS, and is subcontracted by NHS commissioning organisations nationally on a discretionary perpatient basis, where local mental health services are unable to provide appropriate treatment. CDS UK has a small core team of employees, mainly based around London, and a larger group of associate therapists, support workers and supervisors working throughout England and in Scotland. The organisation has seen steady growth in referrals over the past few years.

Job Summary

One of the key elements of the role will be to manage a caseload of referrals from receipt of referral through to submission of funding application and referral outcome. The postholder will be one of two people within CDS UK’s core team with responsibility for this. 

There will also be an allocations management function, involving matching new (and/or existing) patients with suitable clinical staff, usually from within CDS UK’s group of associates, but sometimes via the recruitment of new practitioners.

The role will include a range of other tasks key to the successful functioning and development of CDS UK. Amongst these are maintaining a log of, and costing where appropriate, allpotential service developments (from requests for training to submissions to funders), developing reporting from basic information systems, checking and sending of patient progress reports and monitoring of patient funding. They also include developing our outgoing communications – such as via our website – and helping to explore opportunities for developing our charitable arm.

As part of our small Business and Administrative Team, the role will encompass some ad hoc administrative tasks, and may require delegation of some tasks and/or some line management duties as required.

The post-holder will work on their own initiative and independently deal with issues of workload and problem-solving, becoming a specialist in their areas of work within an agreed period, supported with appropriate training if required. This will include responsibility for analysing, interpreting and comparing a range of complex material, proactively reporting on key metrics, and helping to develop systems and procedures to serve the aims of the organisation.

Role: CRM & Systems Administrator
Reporting to: Project Manager, Director’s Office
Purpose of job: To work with the Partnerships and Philanthropy/Fundraising, Finance and across all Foundling Museum teams by providing excellent CRM & systems administration. This will support income generation, research, data capture and information security throughout the Museum. The position of CRM & Systems Administrator sits at the heart of this continued transition, following the successful implementation and migration to Shopify, Xero & Beacon CRM in 2023.
This new role is essential to the success of Philanthropy and Partnerships, Director’s Office and the whole team, in providing effective research and administration support. The CRM & Systems Administrator will provide support across all fundraising areas including individual giving, corporate sponsorship and trusts and foundations as well as playing a vital role in keeping all Museum systems working effectively.
This includes processing donations and gift aid and maintaining records on the CRM. You will work as a key part of the Philanthropy and Partnerships team to help implement the Philanthropy and Partnerships strategy and streamline all CRM and supporter processes.
This is an exciting opportunity for a highly organised individual with a flair for collaborative working and information management who is looking to expand their administration skillset and make a tangible impact on our work, in particular supporter relationship management.
Critical to this role and the ongoing project of managing information, income generation and communications, will be the collection, management and sharing of data within our data and digital eco-systems.

Key responsibilities:
CRM Administration & Finance Processes

• Maintain and regularly update the CRM system by logging all applications made and pending, prospects, funding received, reporting deadlines, reports, thank you letters and all other supporter correspondence
• Process donations, pledges and ticket payments from individuals, organisations and trusts and foundations, ensuring gift acknowledgements on CRM are up-to-date and any information related to gifts, grants and donations received is captured accurately and consistently
• Day-to-day administration of the Museum’s Friends, patrons and corporate sponsorship schemes and 1700 Clubs, as directed by the Philanthropy and Partnerships team
• Support the maintenance of accurate financial records of funded projects
• Support the Finance team with Gift Aid administration as required

Data & Insights

• Assist in data capture and gathering, including statistics or insight to support reporting, business cases, reports and funding bids
• Research trusts, businesses, and individuals with a view to identifying potential supporters and maintaining an up-to-date and accurate records of such contacts, updating the team, CRM and prospect pipelines on changes to information
• Ensure that strict confidentiality and GDPR legislation and guidance is adhered to in all aspects of recording data and sharing information in research profiles

We want to ensure our engagement is systematic, impactful and builds up an increased evidence base for influence on the institution.

In this role, you will will employ a range of strategies to advocate for changes in the policies, standards and practices of the World Bank particularly as it relates to water sanitation and hygiene particularly in the context of the twin climate change and global health crises. This position will include a focus on the World Bank Group's Water Global Practice and the Global Water Security and Sanitation Partnership, as well as also support WaterAid Country Programme teams and partners to influence the World Bank's operations at the country level.

• Develop and implement advocacy strategies designed to influence the policies of the World Bank and other relevant IFIs on water sanitation & hygiene in line with WaterAid's globally agreed policy and campaign priorities, and in coordination with allies.

An exciting opportunity for a motivated and creative fundraiser to develop a strategic programme of mid to high level donors for a charity working to build a fairer UK justice system within everyone’s reach.

As the Major Gifts Fundraiser, you will play a pivotal role in developing and sustaining fundraising relationships, working closely with the Director of Development, Chief Executive and Senior Management Team. You will be an integral member of the Development Team and work across other teams, particularly the Communications and Policy Teams to maximise fundraising and engagement opportunities and to deliver a first-class giving experience to every major individual donor.

The JUSTICE team currently work in a hybrid manner. Staff members have access to office space in London, however, attendance is currently optional.
