The Opportunity

The Partnership works to stop perpetrators of domestic abuse, support survivors, and build systems that make families everywhere safe and well.

Reporting to the Head of Operations (Drive Partnership), the HR Business Partner will act as a trusted strategic advisor and operational lead for the Drive central team, supporting around 60 staff across the three partner organisations. You will work closely with a Social Finance colleague to ensure alignment and effective communication across the partnership.

You will provide proactive, people-focused support across the full employee lifecycle — from workforce planning and organisational design to recruitment, engagement, and wellbeing. You will play a key role in shaping inclusive, consistent, and evidence-based people practices that strengthen the Partnership’s culture and enable high performance.

This is a unique, cross-organisational role. While Social Finance will act as the lead employer (and you will be formally employed by Social Finance), you will work day-to-day as a key member of the Drive Partnership’s central team, collaborating closely with HR colleagues from SafeLives, Respect, and Social Finance to share best practice and ensure consistency across organisations.

The Team The Drive Partnership, established by Respect, SafeLives, and Social Finance in 2015, is working to end domestic abuse and protect victim-survivors by disrupting, challenging, and changing the behaviour of those who are causing harm. The Drive Partnership does this through the development of innovative responses to those causing harm and advocating for systems and policy change to develop sustainable, national systems that respond more effectively to all those causing harm to increase the safety and freedom of all adult and child victim-survivors.Our vision is that by 2026 there will be a consistent approach which sees agencies in all PCC and local authority areas across England and Wales – backed by national leaders – working together to disrupt abuse and change behaviour to increase safety for victim-survivors, including children and families.

Key Responsibilities

Strategic HR Business Partnering

• Partner with the Drive Partnership leadership team to develop and deliver workforce plans that align with programme priorities and ensure teams are structured for success.

• Provide insight, challenge, and evidence-based recommendations to inform strategic decisions around Partnership design, resourcing, and culture.

• Participate in leadership and Board meetings, contributing to discussions on people and organisational effectiveness.

• Develop and maintain trusted relationships with senior stakeholders across partner organisations, influencing decision-making through expert HR advice.

People Operations and Employee Experience

• Act as the first point of contact for HR queries for the Drive Partnership leadership team, providing clear, consistent advice on employment law, policies, and best practice.

• Lead the design and continuous improvement of recruitment, induction, and onboarding processes for Drive roles, ensuring a seamless and inclusive candidate experience.

• Contribute to salary structures including, pay benchmarking, and contractual changes, advising partners on pay and reward issues across the Partnership.

• Conduct and analyse exit interviews, producing actionable insights to inform retention and engagement strategies.

• Champion employee engagement and wellbeing — analyse feedback, identify trends, and implement initiatives that enhance the employee experience.

Collaboration and Continuous Improvement

• Work closely with HR teams in Respect, SafeLives, and Social Finance to align HR policies, processes, and systems where possible.

• Support the creation and embedding of a strong, inclusive culture that reflects the Partnership’s values and mission.

• Contribute to projects to strengthen diversity, equity, and inclusion across the Partnership.

• Use HR metrics and data to provide insight and drive continuous improvement across all people practices.

About You

Experience and Skills

• Proven experience in a strategic or senior HR generalist role with exposure to the full employee lifecycle, ideally across multiple organisations or partnerships.

• Strong relationship management and influencing skills, with the ability to work effectively with senior leaders across different organisational contexts.

• In-depth knowledge of UK employment law, HR policy, and best practice.

• Experience in designing and delivering recruitment, onboarding, and engagement strategies.

• Strong analytical skills, with the ability to interpret HR data and translate insights into practical actions.

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a collaborative and solutions-focused approach.

About the role

St Albans City and District Council is seeking a skilled Financial Transactions Supervisor to oversee accounts payable, receivable, and cash handling operations. You will supervise a small team, ensuring accurate and timely financial transactions and reconciliations. Key responsibilities include monitoring regulatory compliance, guiding team members, and improving procedures. Strong technical knowledge of financial systems, leadership experience, and the ability to interpret financial regulations are essential.

About you

You are a confident leader with a strong understanding of financial systems and practices. Your attention to detail ensures accuracy in financial transactions, and you’re skilled in reconciliations and compliance with regulations like VAT and financial legislation. You’re highly organised, able to manage multiple tasks, and support your team effectively, offering guidance and training where needed. Excellent problem-solving skills help you address complex financial issues, and you’re comfortable working with large data sets, using Excel to analyse and present financial information. Your communication and interpersonal skills enable you to work well with both financial and non-financial colleagues.

As our Facilities Assistant, you will provide day-to-day in person support at our London Office in Stockwell.

You will ensure an efficient, effective and customer-focused facilities management and Health and Safety service. In addition to our London office, you will remotely support other Friends of the Earth offices as required, and act in absence of the Health, Safety & Facilities Manager in times of emergency.

We are tenants in all our offices and use a range of contracted third party suppliers, so a key part of the role is liaison with management companies and good supplier management to ensure we get the right job done and deliver good value for our supporters who fund our work.

This role is very customer-service focused, working on projects of all sizes, as well as being part of our Service Desk team. This is a rewarding and varied role, being flexible will be key, as no two days are the same.

Key Skills and Attributes: 

· Good understanding of facilities management

· Good organisational skills including ability to coordinate and prioritise workloads to meet deadlines

· Knowledge of Health and Safety of workplace and manual handling experience

As a Deputy Head of Service for Performance & Quality you will:

This is an excellent opportunity for someone at the start of their procurement career or looking to move into the field. You'll be the person who supports Procurement Officers and Business Partners to deliver their work across the Society. From major strategic projects to day-to-day operational needs. You'll handle a broad remit of work, from keeping records organised and gathering data that spots efficiency opportunities, to helping design how we communicate with colleagues across the organisation. The Apprenticeship Opportunity

About the opportunity

As Trainee Accountant, you'll play an important role in delivering a high-performing, efficient financial accounting operation with partnership and improvement at its core. This is an operational and developmental role, offered with the opportunity of pursuing a formal Level 4 Professional Accounting Technician qualification through an 18-month apprenticeship programme.

You'll be part of our Finance & Assurance directorate, reporting to the Associate Accountant and working alongside our accounting assistants and trainees. Under the guidance of experienced Financial Accountants, you'll learn and deliver the fundamentals of effective accounting. From maintaining accurate financial records and supporting account reconciliations to assisting with audits and preparing financial reports, you'll gain broad experience across core accounting activities while building your technical knowledge and professional confidence.

Your potential qualification pathway

You'll have the opportunity to enrol on a fully funded Level 4 Professional Accounting Technician apprenticeship programme delivered by BPP and studied in allocated time alongside your day job. This 18-month programme offers pathway options including ACCA, AAT, CIMA, or ICAEW, leading to recognised professional diplomas. This programme is delivered through online live lectures, three-monthly coaching sessions and 24/7 access to learning materials via BPP's Virtual Learning Platform.

About you:

- Supporting the Financial Accounting team and wider directorate, maintaining accurate financial records and supporting account reconciliations to ensure accuracy and identify discrepancies.

About the role

We are looking for an exceptional individual fundraiser to join the Philanthropy team at King’s College London, leading on fundraising for The Dickson Poon School of Law.

This role will be responsible for managing a portfolio of major gift prospects, securing and stewarding significant philanthropic gifts at the £50k to £5 million gift level, supporting senior stakeholders with their fundraising efforts, and championing the work and priorities of King’s and the Dickson Poon School of Law.

This is an exciting opportunity to join the legal charity ATLEU (Anti Trafficking and Labour Exploitation Unit), in a vital operational leadership role.  This is a role for someone with extensive operational management experience, ideally within the charity, non-profit sector and in human rights work. Objectives of the post

To lead and ensure the smooth operational running of ATLEU, with particular focus on finance, people, information technology and governance and compliance. 

To manage ATLEU’s team of operations staff including human resources, operations and projects,  finance and external bookkeepers. 

To work closely with the Chief Executive to develop systems for implementing and monitoring ATLEU’s strategic plan. 

Main Responsibilities

1. Leadership and Strategy

• Participate in strategic and business planning processes and play a leading role, working with the CEO and trustees to develop the strategic plan, ensuring all team members understand it and their role in it. 
• Serve as a key member of the Senior Management Team (SMT) contributing to the strategic direction and day to day management of the organisation. 
• Develop and lead monitoring and evaluation processes for all activities associated with our strategy, including setting and reviewing annual business plan priorities and targets, communicating progress and highlighting potential areas for development and increased focus. Be a champion for embedding learning into the culture of the organisation and collaborate with consultants and staff to ensure there are effective monitoring learning and evaluation frameworks in place across ATLEU’s projects and services. 
• Lead and manage ATLEU’s operations staff, including ATLEU’s Operations and Projects Coordinator, People and Inclusion Manager and Billing Coordinator. 
• Lead the development and maintenance of organisational policies, procedures, and systems to enhance efficiency and effectiveness.
• To work closely with the Director of Saltworks to support the operational running of ATLEU’s  trading subsidiary Saltworks, through developing the financial and operational infrastructure and management of the organisation.

2. Finance 

• Lead ATLEU’s financial planning, management and reporting processes. 
• Direct, manage and document ATLEU’s financial policies, systems and controls, ensuring that financial systems are effective and up to date. 
• Scrutinise monthly financial data and produce financial reports for the CEO and trustees, including quarterly cashflows
• Prepare ATLEU’s annual operating budgets and financial reports for funders and oversee project budgets. 
• Ensure the year-end financial accounts and audit process is completed satisfactorily and delivered on time, ensuring all financial data and other data needed is provided.
• Ensure that accurate records and accounts of monies claimed are held on all cases  and liaise with the Head of Legal Practice to ensure compliance with the Solicitors Accounts Rules.
• Oversee ATLEU’s bookkeeping and legal aid billing and reporting and ensure all monies, including grant monies and training invoices are claimed and paid promptly. 
• Maintain oversight of bookkeepers and auditors, taking responsibility for managing relationships with them
• Manage ATLEU’s banking arrangements, ensuring that they are effective, secure and fit for purpose.

3. Office and Operations

• Work with the Senior Management and Operations teams to ensure that all colleagues have the operational support needed to do their jobs effectively; 
• Liaise with building management for both offices, manage any rent negotiations and any future office moves 

• Lead on the annual insurance renewal process, provide the required data and lead discussions with brokers to ensure good value for money on all policies;
• Support the Operations and Projects Coordinator to ensure that both ATLEU offices provide a safe and welcoming environment for ATLEU staff, clients and other visitors and that they comply with all appropriate legislation and regulations;
• Work with the Operations & Project Coordinator to maintain the Office Manual and associated policies and ensure that they are up to date and reviewed as appropriate and monitor compliance with those policies. 
• Oversee day-to-day operations including premises, equipment, IT systems, ordering supplies, procurement and workflow and archive management and ensure that processes are in place to restore functionality as required. 
• To ensure the most effective use of resources and identify areas for cost reduction or cost avoidance along with process and functional improvement, including developing ATLEU’s IT infrastructure to reduce reliance on paper files. 

4. Human Resources

• The Head of Operations plays a pivotal role in mentoring and supporting the People and Inclusion Manager across all HR-related matters, including staff wellbeing and EDI activities. 
• In the absence of the People & Inclusion Manager or when facing conflicting deadlines, the Head of Operations is expected to actively participate in all HR tasks.
• Support the People & Inclusion Manager with day-to-day HR tasks, processes and systems, responding to queries and problem solving when needed;
• Provide guidance to the Senior Management Team with regular updates on HR related issues as needed;
• Support the People and Inclusion Manager to review, develop and roll out HR policies and provide training to staff where required, ensuring they are legislatively sound, fit with our values and align with our strategic goals. 
• Oversee the coordination of the organisation’s volunteer programme, and explore ways to maximise the value both ATLEU and volunteers gain from the programme. 
• Model positive, fair and open people leadership and support other managers in their supervisory capacity.

5. Governance and Compliance 

• Work with the Chief Executive to continue to strengthen the governance of the charity, ensuring that all aspects of governance adhere to best practices and meet regulatory requirements.

• Ensure that ATLEU complies with the requirements of all relevant regulatory bodies including the Charity Commission and Companies House and ensuring ATLEU is compliant with all compliance relevant to a not for profit legal firm e.g the Legal Aid Agency, Solicitor’s Regulation Authority, Specialist Quality Mark, Immigration Advice Authority and CILEX.

• Manage the Board, AGM and committee meeting calendar, ensuring well-structured agendas and facilitating effective decision-making processes with clear records of these meetings and management of actions arising.
• Develop and implement governance policies and procedures that align with regulatory requirements and organisational needs.
• Ensure the SMT, Board and other parts of the governance receives comprehensive, timely, and accurate information to support informed decision-making.
• Stay abreast of relevant legislation and governance best practices, implementing changes as necessary. 
• Develop and maintain effective systems and frameworks for compliance, risk management, and operational efficiency.

6. Information Technology / Data Protection and Cyber Security

• Support the Operations and Projects Coordinator in ensuring IT systems function appropriately and securely and new systems are developed to improve efficiencies for caseworkers and for audit and research. 
• Work with the Head of Legal Practice and Operations and Projects Coordinator on the continued development of and improvements to our legal aid case management system.
• Ensure ATLEU has robust IT and cyber security policies and procedures in place, and oversee their implementation across the organisation.
• Develop and maintain the organisation’s IT and business continuity plan and update it annually.
• Oversee ATLEU’s day-to-day relationships with external IT support, ensuring IT systems function effectively and providing or facilitating staff support;
• Collaborate with external IT support on projects to enhance and modernise ATLEU’s systems, ensuring they remain up-to-date and secure;

• Take overall responsibility for the data protection obligations of the organisation. Oversee the implementation of up-to-date and compliant data protection policies including data retention and destruction, home and remote working, emails and the internet, and ensure that sensitive and financial information is securely stored and confidentiality and privacy is maintained. 
• Keep abreast of changes and updates to Data Protection legislation and ensure that staff receive regular training on Data Protection and Cyber Security.

7. Other

• Lead by example demonstrating ATLEU’s values, taking a business partner, proactive approach to working across the organisation.
• To support and adhere to ATLEU’s equal opportunities policy and to always act in an ethical manner that upholds the good reputation of ATLEU.
• To travel to ATLEU’s Sheffield offices as required. 
• From time to time to attend other meetings, including out of hours, when necessary.
• To undertake additional duties as may become necessary.
