The Finance Business Partner will support and assist the Senior Finance Manager in providing day to day financial and management accounting for the Charity, ensuring accurate, timely and efficient delivery of the accounting services for the Charity.

This role is a job share on a part time permanent basis, 22.5 hours per week.  We require the successful candidate to work Monday and Thursday however third day is flexible.

Principal duties include:

• To provide business partner support and be the first point of contact to each of the Directorates in MMUK for all expenditure related matters. ​

• Establish regular communication with each of the Directorates to support existing business processes and provide guidance for any potential changes to business processes which have a financial impact. Communicate any relevant changes back to the wider Finance Team.​

• To prepare and analyse monthly expenditure against budget, investigating and documenting explanations for any significant variances, and liaising with directorates for review.​

• To prepare monthly management information (expenditure).​

• To lead on the preparation of the annual expenditure budget.​

• To prepare consolidated income and expenditure budget. ​

• To lead on expenditure forecasting.​

• To prepare consolidated income and expenditure forecast.​​

• To prepare quarterly VAT returns for submission to HMRC.​

• To prepare the monthly payroll and coordinate payroll processes including supply of information to payroll bureau and authorisation of submission to HMRC.

• To maintain and update employee information for online submission of Group Pension Scheme and other providers of employee benefits.​​

• To be responsible for the expenditure audit requirements for the annual audit.​

• To assist in the development, implementation and maintenance of appropriate financial policies and procedures. ​

• To deal with finance related queries, both internal and external, as they arise.​

• To support the wider finance team in any finance related matters.​

• To contribute to team meetings and organisational priorities.​

You'll be responsible for the Business Partnering of some strategically important areas across the Group, supporting them to deliver their financial targets by developing trusted relationships and working alongside ELT members and budget holders to produce their finance model, annual budget and termly forecasts.

You'll influence and negotiate with senior colleagues and provide technical and strategic insight to ensure AaA reaches its financial targets. • Has either knowledge of the Charities Statement of Recommended Practice (SORP) (FRS 102) 2019, or knowledge of IFRS or FRS102 and the ability to quickly learn the differences under the SORP (with support from colleagues); and
• Has proven experience of working closely with stakeholders at varying level of seniority.

Role purpose

This role would suit someone with at least 2 years’ experience in a charity finance role, who has experience or knowledge of all the core accounts department processes and some understanding of different charity income streams. Responsibilities

• Day to day management and systems administration of Xero accounting software, expenses software (ExpenseIn), and other linked financial applications.
• Carry out monthly reconciliations of bank accounts, debtors and creditors, and set up payment runs.
• Prepare monthly management accounts journals (prepayments, accruals, depreciation, deferred and accrued income) and control account reconciliations.
• Being the systems administrator for the Fundraising CRM system (Donorfy) and linked platforms and applications (e.g. JustGiving, Stripe, EventBright).
• Database management of Donorfy and linked platforms and applications.
• Reconcile data between Donorfy and Xero, and where necessary, with other linked platforms and applications.
• Ensure Gift Aid returns are correctly submitted to HMRC (via Donorfy)
• Support with the development and implementation of new systems and procedures.
• Provide training and induction to new joiners in using Donorfy and ExpenseIn as well as for any other relevant platforms and applications.
• Business partnering - provide day to day support to the wider organisation with finance and fundraising system queries, payment information, and supplier queries.
• Working with budget holders to provide transaction reports, income and expenditure reports, and updates on payments from finance and fundraising systems to assist them to manage their project budgets.
• Assist Finance Director and Fundraising team where necessary with financial reporting to funders.

Skills/ experience

• Proven experience in all areas of accounts - purchase and sales ledger, banking and cash management, basic management accounts.
• Experience of Xero or similar cloud-based finance system.
• Excellent Microsoft Office skills, particularly excel and an ability to quickly learn new systems.

A Charity that supports young people are recruiting for a Financial Planning Business Analyst on an initial 9-month contract to support the implementation of a new budgeting and forecasting software tool. The postholder will be working extremely closely with the Finance Director, Finance Business Partners, and system teams to understand budgeting and data requirements.

We have an exciting opportunity for an Executive Director to lead a small charity who work within the Jewish community to make it more inclusive of LGBT+ people through education, consultancy and training.

Position: Executive Director

About the role:

As Executive Director you will lead a small team – Head of Education (full time), Head of Community Life (full time) and Programme and Volunteer Officer (full time), working with a charity that has a vision of a world where no one is forced to choose between their LGBT+ and Jewish identity.

As the only charity doing this in the UK, the charity works in partnership with communities to identify their goals, then tailor  support so they can achieve them.

The Start Funds MEAL Officer will work with colleagues within both SCUK and Start Network. Previously (until May 2019) Start Network and Start Funds and Programmes were hosted by Save the Children UK (SCUK) since its creation in 2012. The Start Network funds have a robust monitoring, evaluation, accountability, and learning (MEAL) portfolio to strengthen evidence-based learning, performance and overall accountability towards the people affected by or at-risk of crises, donors, members, and partners.

Reporting to the Crisis Financing MEAL Lead, the Start Funds MEAL Officer will play an important role to support the ongoing MEAL activities for the Start Funds to enhance its performance, learning, and accountability.

• Produce and support various thematic research, reviews, studies and learning products according to the MEAL work plan.
• Support capacity building activities for the Start Funds Programme team and the wider and membership for relevant themes such as data quality, evidence-based programming etc.

About you

To be successful, it is important that you have:

• Previous experience delivering MEAL for humanitarian or development programmes
• Excellent data analysis skills
