The Role: Operations Manager

As Operations Manager at Addiction Family Support, you’ll play a key role in keeping the charity running smoothly day to day. You’ll support our small, dedicated team by coordinating systems, processes, and technology that enable us to deliver our services effectively and professionally.

You’ll work closely with staff and volunteers across our Helpline, one-to-one and group services, and training provision. This is a flexible, part-time role (with potential to grow) for someone who thrives on organisation, problem-solving, and supporting others to do their best work.

Your responsibilities will span CRM and digital tools, data reporting, onboarding, and operational improvements – all with the aim of helping us support more people affected or bereaved by a loved one’s harmful use of alcohol, drugs, or gambling.

This is a remote role with quarterly team meetings in London. You’ll need to be confident working independently, while also contributing actively to our collaborative team culture and wider organisational goals.

Responsibilities:

• Develop and maintain our CRM (Bitrix24), including client and volunteer pathways, automations, forms, SPA and task management.

• Train and support staff and volunteers to use key systems:

  • Bitrix24 (CRM).

  • VCC by Call Handling (Helpline telephone app).

  • Three Rings (Helpline rota scheduling).

  • Microsoft Teams/Zoom (video calls).

• Extract and report on data from key systems to support monitoring and evaluation.

• Support recruitment and onboarding of new staff and volunteers.

• Help develop and implement new policies and procedures to support quality and consistency.

About the role:

This is a home based role that will include travel across England and Wales when delivering training. You will be working within a specific project that delivers learning externally to other organisations outside of VS. Your primary goal will be to design and deliver high quality learning interventions based on what our customers need.

As an External Trainer you will:

• Manage, coordinate and deliver professional, engaging and interactive training sessions to external clients using a range of facilitation methods, ensuring delivery aligns with agreed training objectives, materials and quality standards.
• Lead on the design and development of bespoke learning content to meet client needs and support strategic goals.
• Build strong relationships with key internal and external stakeholders, developing and maintaining close relationships with external clients.
• Responsible for managing delegates, dealing with any issues that arise throughout the learning session. Ensure that all nationally directed learning is delivered in line with the approved materials and standards.
• Lead on the continuous improvement of training, using assessments and feedback to make recommendations for amendments. Review and update training content regularly to ensure relevance and effectiveness.

You will need:

• Experience of delivering training programmes using a variety of different methods e.g. face to face, virtual and one to one, managing delegates and issues that may arise
• Experience of designing and delivering training for adult learners, ideally within a commercial or client-facing environment
• Experience of delivering soft skills training and experiential learning activities
• Ability to develop a range of learning and development solutions that meet client priorities
• Experience of planning courses and evaluating outcomes
• A driving licence as this role does require frequent travel across England and Wales

Key Responsibilities
 
Business Development — Core Focus
 
 

• Develop and lead the business development strategy to expand market presence, secure new contracts, and grow sustainable income streams.
• Identify new markets, service offerings, and strategic partnerships that align with Helpforce’s mission and impact goals.
• Lead negotiations for contracts, partnerships, and commercial agreements.
• Oversee the preparation of bids, proposals, and tenders, working with internal teams to ensure high-quality submissions.

Fundraising — Leadership Oversight
 

• Provide strategic oversight of all fundraising activities including trusts, foundations, major donors, and institutional funders.
• Directly line manage the fundraising function, providing leadership, coaching, and performance oversight.
• Support the development of high-quality funding applications, stewardship plans, and donor communications.
• Ensure fundraising activities comply with ethical standards, contractual obligations, and regulatory requirements.
• Work closely with the CEO and Trustees on high-value fundraising relationships.

• Serve as a key member of the Senior Management Team (SMT), contributing to organisational strategy and leadership.

Essential

• Senior-level experience (7 years) in business development, commercial partnerships, or strategic fundraising,
• Experience in a non-profit, NGO, social enterprise, or impact-driven business.
• Proven track record of securing significant business contracts or partnerships.
• Strong leadership and line management experience.
• Excellent negotiation, commercial acumen, and contract management skills.

Hearing Dogs for Deaf People, whose mission is to see a time when no deaf person feels alone, is seeking a proactive and relationships-driven Partnerships Account Manager for managing and growing a portfolio of corporate partners.

Hearing Dogs for Deaf People has been creating life-changing partnerships between hearing dogs and deaf recipients since 1982. As well as acting as an ear to their partners and alerting them to sounds, the charity’s clever and expertly trained dogs help deaf people to live life with confidence and independence, whilst providing love, companionship and emotional support.

Following on from a strategic review, the charity is now looking to build a new Income Generation Directorate, to enable them to transform many more lives across the UK. This role will be critical to help Hearing Dogs reach their goals to diversify income, expand their portfolio and accelerate income from mission-aligned businesses.

Reporting to the Head of Corporate Partnerships, this role will take a lead on nurturing existing partnerships and developing new ones, with a specific focus on increasing income through employee engagement and payroll giving schemes. It will also ensure that each partnership is maximised and aligned with Hearing Dogs’ mission and fundraising goals.

The post-holder will work closely with internal teams and corporate supporters to deliver engaging campaigns, employee fundraising, volunteering opportunities and impactful communications that help raise income and awareness for the charity.

It is a role that will require excellent stewardship, creativity and commercial awareness skills for mutual value – that means you will need strong relationship management and excellent communication skills. A background in corporate fundraising will be essential, alongside the ability to identify and maximise the potential of corporate support opportunities, including financial and in-kind support. You will also have experience of managing charity-of-the-year partnerships or working with employee fundraising programmes.

We’re looking for an enthusiastic Communications and Events Coordinator lead the development and delivery of Khulisa’s communications strategy and key campaigns, designed to engage our supporters, stakeholders, and the wider UK public.

About Khulisa: 

Khulisa, meaning 'nurture' in the Zulu language of South Africa, is an award-winning charity dedicated to providing therapeutic support to young people. We focus on reaching those who are most at risk – young people from deprived communities who are often marginalized, vulnerable to exclusion, and at heightened risk of becoming involved in crime.

Our approach centres on safe, exploratory methods that aim to understand behaviour and experiences often rooted in trauma, abuse, and neglect. We deliver intensive therapeutic programs within educational and community settings, empowering young people to confront the underlying causes of their emotional distress and work toward healing. To create lasting, sustainable change, we also work to establish trauma-informed environments around young people by equipping parents, caregivers, educators, and other professionals with the tools they need to offer effective, supportive care. Currently, our services are active in London and Manchester. 

About the role: 

This role will be a key part of helping to raise awareness of Khulisa’s mission and the issues we address, strengthening support for our programmes. The postholders will also take ownership of planning and delivering all Khulisa events, ensuring they are impactful and well-executed.

• Develop and deliver Khulisa’s Communications and Branding Strategy in line with the strategic plan.
• Lead public engagement campaigns to raise awareness, promote youth voice, and drive participation.
• Plan and manage events, including fundraising and challenge events, from concept to delivery.
• Create and manage digital content across social media, website, newsletters, and other channels.
• Recruit and supervise volunteers to support communications and event-related activities.

The post holder will be required to work from home permanently but be willing and able to easily travel to various locations across the London and the North West as necessary to fulfill the requirements of the role and to engage with stakeholders and colleagues.

• Experience in digital campaigning and digital content creation.
