The role

The Commonwealth Sustainable Cities Coalition (CSCC) is a transformative, multi-level, multi-sector coalition designed to address the intersecting challenges of rapid urbanisation and climate change across the Commonwealth. The CSCC is a collaboration between the Association of Commonwealth Universities (ACU), the Commonwealth Association of Architects (CAA), the Commonwealth Association of Planners (CAP), the Commonwealth Engineers’ Council (CEC), and the Commonwealth Local Government Forum (CLGF), working with The King’s Foundation (KF).

The CSCC Programme Manager will set up and oversee the CSCC Secretariat function, coordinate governance structures, and, in collaboration with the ACU Senior Policy and Networks Manager, lead the delivery of a cross-cutting skills agenda through the ACU’s newly launched Expert Group model. The role will also support CSCC partners in establishing three transdisciplinary Action Groups - focused on housing, integrated planning, and urban finance - and support delivery of three National Dialogues in selected Commonwealth countries. This role offers a unique opportunity to help establish the CSCC, a platform that will shape policy, strengthen capacity, and mobilise higher education expertise to support sustainable urban development across the Commonwealth.

The ACU is seeking a highly organised Programme Manager to support the establishment of the Commonwealth Sustainable Cities Coalition (CSCC). ROLE RESPONSIBILITIES

• Lead on the overall donor development offline programme for both cash and committed donors, ensuring a strong onboarding and onward journey is in place, and that key touchpoints are leveraged to deepen engagement and increase donors’ Lifetime Value.
• Work with digital fundraising colleagues to create integrated, multichannel campaigns and an effective, donor-first giving journey.
• Provide colleagues with strategic guidance, and technical support if required, to deliver warm appeals via Direct Mail that meet six-figures campaign targets.
• Manage our Telemarketing programme, to successfully launch and deliver activities such as conversion, upgrade, reactivation, and welcome calling.
• Ensure an insight-led thanking programme is in place, with key moments identified throughout the year to acknowledge support and communicate impact.
• Work with key stakeholders across digital and offline teams to ensure we maintain a strong retention rate whilst growing our Regular Giving file.
• Remain flexible and rapidly respond to emergency situations.
• Work with our Data team to identify the best approach to data and segmentation for each project.
• Manage production processes, developing supplier briefs and managing approval stages and end of campaign reviews.
• Work with our suppliers to ensure campaign fulfilment is in place and collaborate with our Supporter Care function to monitor responses and identify issues/opportunities.

The Role

The role reports to the Associate Director of Legal and Governance, with an independent reporting line to the Chair of the Finance Committee.

The role will provide a comprehensive programme of internal audits into the activities of our charity and will report to our Finance Committee with recommendations for improvement. This is a crucial role in safeguarding the charity’s assets and reputation.

Following our recent merger with the Armed Forces charity Care for Veterans in Worthing, we’re looking for a skilled and motivated Fundraising Assistant.

Purpose of the role

- To provide excellent customer care to all donors, delivering optimum supporter journeys working effectively with the wider team within the Royal Star & Garter (RSG) group

Supporter care

Donations and data entry

- Complete weekly banking and allocation tasks in accordance with the approved process, liaising with the finance department to ensure that all batched income is allocated correctly
- Data inputting on the CRM to include: regular giving, importing income from external agencies including CAF and Just Giving, processing Gift Aid and accurately storing declarations
- Filing and management of paperwork, ensuring due diligence and security measures are followed.

Fundraising & volunteer support

- To provide active support to a range of events including: managing participants, sending information, monitoring online giving pages and on the day set up and pack down
- To directly source donated items and contributors to support fundraising events including raffle/auction prizes and coordinating suppliers, stallholders and entertainers 
- Coordinate and communicate with volunteers for events and corporate volunteering days and activities, ensuring they are briefed and supported
- To support any regular mailings or email contact to supporters, assisting with the cleaning and compliance of data once an agreed annual schedule is in place regular.

Other

- To manage all aspects of incoming fundraising post and dedicated inboxes along with outgoing mailings
- Ensure general department are kept up to date including attendance at meetings within RSG group wherever possible

The Order of St John ( is a global humanitarian organisation delivering first aid and community healthcare in more than 40 countries and territories worldwide.  It is supported by an International Office based in London.

With a new global fundraising operation in place, and a refreshed international strategy for the future, St John International is looking to expand its team. The Internal Relationship Manager will be the go-to person for Trustees and will keep an overview of what is going on across the Order’s various governance bodies, so that the work flows smoothly. You will work closely with the External Relations Manager as they implement our regional development and deliver on our relationships with St John establishments internationally. Along with the Communications team you will work to share our resources internationally using our newly established intranet – the St John Resource Hub – ensuring content is up to date, relevant and seen, by our staff and volunteers on all continents.
