STAMP Revisited is a small but ambitious charity, which provides advocacy and emotional support to those experiencing mental health difficulties. We support them to access vital services they need that they would not be able to access independently. We have already supported thousands of the most disadvantaged people to have their voice heard and respected.
We are currently recruiting a new Treasurer to join our Board of Trustees. As a Trustee of STAMP Revisited, you will play a crucial role in setting the strategic direction of the charity and ensuring good governance. You will contribute to ensuring that the charity fulfils its mission, operates effectively, and remains accountable to those experiencing mental health issues.
In addition to the general duties as Trustee, as Treasurer you will play a pivotal role in securing the financial integrity and sustainability of our charity. You will ensure that effective and appropriate financial measures are put in place and report to the Board at regular intervals about the financial health of the organisation.

The Gold Standards Framework (GSF) charity are seeking new Trustees to join our Board to support the important work of enabling generalist frontline teams improve care for people nearing the end of life. The Gold Standards Framework (GSF) Centre recently celebrated 25 years of work improving end of life care given by generalist frontline teams. GSF is the leading provider of training in end of life care for generalist front line staff across health and social care. We have trained and accredited thousands of teams, influenced national policy and practice and GSF has improved the care for many millions of people and their families.
Much has been achieved but there is still more to do ... We have a bold and exciting vision to ensure that everyone experiences Gold Standard end of life care. We want to see a big increase in the number of people that are trained, and we want to influence policy to make Gold Standard end of life care a requirement. We have recently become a CIO charity and as we enter a new chapter of our story, we are seeking new trustees to help us to achieve our vision and contribute to our strategic purpose.
Could you help us achieve these goals? We are a small team and value the contribution of our trustees, partners, associates and professional reference groups. Trustees will typically attend 4-6 online board meetings a year, along with other communications and support between meetings, plus occasional strategy away days.

The Role of the Trustee
The Welsh Air Ambulance Charitable Trust (hereafter referred to as “the Charity”) Board of Trustees has overall legal responsibility for strategic direction and governance and is collectively accountable for compliance with relevant legislative and regulatory requirements.
Being a trustee is a voluntary role, undertaken because individuals have a commitment to furthering the purposes of the Charity and have the skills, experience and personal qualities needed for the strategic management of the organisation.
All reasonable expenses will be reimbursed. To serve as a trustee you must be over the age of 18 and not disqualified because of bankruptcy, unspent criminal convictions for offences of deception or dishonesty, or a legal order for removal/disqualification as a trustee or company director. It is a criminal offence to act as a trustee while disqualified.
The term of office is for 3 years; at the end of which the Trustee will be able to stand for re-election to the Board.
The Board of Trustees
The Board meets 6 times a year. The Board is supported by sub-committees, including Aviation, HR&OD and Finance, which are open to Trustees to join in accordance with professional experience, availability and interest.
Trustee Responsibilities
The statutory duties of a Trustee are to:
- Ensure that the Charity complies with its Constitution, the law and any other relevant legislation or regulations.
- Ensure the Charity pursues its objects as defined in its Constitution.
- Ensure the Charity uses its resources exclusively in pursuit of its objects.
- Contribute actively to the Board of Trustees' role in setting strategy, defining goals and evaluating performance.
- To attend and actively contribute to Board and sub-committee meetings.
- To represent the Charity at functions and events as appropriate.
- To support the Charity’s equal opportunities, diversity and inclusion policies.
- To apply specific knowledge or experience to support the Board to make sound decisions.
- To scrutinise Board papers, lead discussions, focus on key issues, and provide advice and guidance requested by the Board on new initiatives, or other issues relevant to the areas of work in which the Trustee has special expertise.
- Safeguard and promote the values and mission of the Charity.
- Ensure the effective and efficient administration of the Charity.
- Ensure the financial stability of the Charity.
- Protect and manage the property of the Charity and ensure its proper use for charitable purposes.

The Corporation is accountable for the financial solvency of the College, its sound management, the quality of the service which it provides, and its educational character. The Corporation is also accountable for the proper use of the public funds entrusted to it.
Sound governance requires more than simply ensuring that the books balance and that the Principal & CEO is getting on with the business of running the organisation within the parameters established by the governors. Colleges must be able to respond to changes in direction of government policy and anticipate changing needs in their communities. The Corporation must be actively involved in reviewing the role of the College and in planning and managing change to ensure the long-term health and success of Solihull College & University Centre.
There are seven meetings of the Corporation throughout the academic year (September through to July), plus two additional development days held on a Saturday. In addition to this, there are additional meetings of the Search & Governance Committee, the Audit & Risk Committee, the Remuneration Committee, and the Financial Oversight Group.
Opportunities for Governors to participate in visits and meetings with students are arranged throughout the year. It is expected that – with preparation for meetings, liaison with the College, and training – Governors should plan to spend a minimum of six hours per month undertaking the responsibilities of the role; including reading papers, visiting the College, and attending meetings.

To support our strategic ambitions, we are looking to appoint two non-executive Governors to our Corporation – the Governing Body of Solihull College & University Centre.
We are specifically looking for talented people who can add value to the discussions which take place at the Corporation, its committees, and any special interest groups, by providing support and challenge to our leadership through the appraisal of reports, plans, and strategies.

What will you be doing?
We are looking for people to join our board of trustees to help take Cheltenham Almshouses and Aid forward. We would particularly welcome those with experience of building maintenance and development of new properties, health and safety, finance and investment, risk control, social care and marketing.
Many of the properties we own are of older stock and there is a constant challenge to keep the buildings well maintained and up to standard, in line with health and safety requirements whilst providing comfortable and affordable living.
We have recently built four new wonderful apartments within a conservation area and may possibly in the future look at extending our current stock of properties with more new builds.
We have a healthy balance sheet and would look to new trustees to guide the charity with new investment opportunities.
At present we have little presence on social media and would welcome a trustee on board who could help us in this field and ultimately give us the presence we so need. By maintaining a wait list this reduces the risk of void apartments and subsequent decrease in income.
We provide housing to many people who are working but cannot afford the market rents, for those retired who want to live in well maintained, peaceful communities. Some of our beneficiaries may need help with more personal matters such as benefit applications, liaising with social services, the clerk will deal with these aspects directly but additional knowledge of areas such as benefits and pensions would be immensely valuable to our beneficiaries, some of whom may not have any family members nearby to support them.

Harrow Food Bank is part of the Trussell Trust - a network of over 1300 food bank centres in the UK. Between April 2022 and March 2023, food banks provided almost 3 million food supplies to people in crisis.
Harrow Food Bank requires two Trustees to support the Chair and current members who can support the existing Trustees:
Administrator / Secretary: to lead on all the administrative duties of the food bank and Trustee Board, ensure all meetings are conducted within the legal requirements and a record of all meetings maintained. Key roles & responsibilities:
1. Arrange and communicate dates for all Trustee Meetings, circulating papers in advance
2. Follow up on the agreed actions from meetings and keep an accurate ‘action log’
3. Ensure all stakeholders are informed of the AGM and that the AGM report is submitted to all relevant bodies
Treasurer: to lead on the financial affairs of the foodbank and to ensure that they are conducted within the required legal accounting and good practice conventions. Key roles & responsibilities:
1. Ensure that the Food Bank has proper systems for budgeting, financial controls, insurance and reporting
2. Produce and present regular finance reports for the Trustees Board Meetings
3. Maintain accurate financial records as report in a timely manner to all relevant bodies

ABOUT GET FURTHER
Get Further is the first charity dedicated to providing high-quality tuition to students facing challenges in further education, adult education, and the apprenticeship sector. We aim to transform the experience of these students, helping them to build their skills and realise their aspirations for education and work.
Every year, 200,000 children – disproportionately from disadvantaged backgrounds – do not achieve the expected standard in crucial English and maths qualifications while at school, locking them out of many university courses, apprenticeships, and key professions.
Twice as many disadvantaged 16- to 18-year-olds go to further education colleges than school sixth forms, and yet for too long, the needs of students in further education have not taken centre stage in education policy or funding. We work in partnership with further education providers to prove that, when given the means, all young people can build the skills needed to progress in education and work.
TRUSTEE SPECIFICATIONS AND COMMITMENT
We are looking to recruit a trustee who has expertise and skills in one or more of the following key areas:
- Further Education (teaching/leadership/policy)
- Apprenticeship Sector
- Fundraising
- Legal, including charity law
- Impact and Evaluation (including experience of large-scale evaluation and/or RCTs)
ESSENTIAL
- Commitment to Get Further’s mission and values, including passionate about tackling educational inequality.
- Financial qualifications and experience within a charity, not for profit or business in a senior financial role.
- Proven ability to communicate and explain financial information to members of the Board and other stakeholders.
- Analytical and evaluation skills, demonstrating good judgement.
- Understanding/willingness to learn and acceptance of the legal duties, responsibilities and liabilities of trusteeship.
- Good communication and leadership skills.
- Creative thinking, especially in ensuring equality, diversity and inclusion considerations are part of the charity’s decision making and strategy.
- An openness to challenge and question others.
- Willing to act as an ambassador to external bodies, charities and companies.
- A team-oriented approach to problem solving and management
DESIRABLE
- Knowledge of charity SORP and aware of impending changes.
- Demonstrated knowledge and experience of charity fundraising and finance practices.
- An understanding of the education landscape in the UK.
TRUSTEE COMMITMENT
- The term of a board member is an initial three years.
- Expectation to attend all quarterly board meetings, as well as sub-committee meetings and ad hoc Get Further events, which may involve speaking engagements for example, student alumni events or tutor training.
- Training and support are available, and each new trustee will receive a full induction.
