12-month fixed-term contract, with strong potential to become permanent

Are you a strategic thinker with a passion for operational excellence and equity?
Do you want to be part of a pioneering global alliance that's transforming lives and challenging stigma?

We're supporting a unique membership-based charity that leads a global movement for inclusion and equality for people with facial differences. This organisation unites non-profits from around the world to ensure that individuals with facial differences are seen, respected, and empowered. As the only non-profit with consultative status to the UN CRPD representing this community, their work is bold, collaborative, and deeply impactful.

They are now entering an exciting new chapter with a fresh strategy for 2025-2028, and we are helping them recruit a newly created Head of Operations role to build the infrastructure that will support their growth and amplify their global voice.

About the Role

This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a small, fast-moving team and wants to make a tangible difference. Reporting to the CEO, you'll lead on all things operations, from digital systems and compliance to HR and finance, ensuring the charity runs smoothly and sustainably.

You'll be joining a passionate team committed to inclusion, innovation, and social change. With external support in place for bookkeeping and admin, you'll have the space to focus on strategic improvements and help shape the future of this incredible charity.

Essential Criteria

  • Charity management experience, with a strong understanding of governance and compliance
  • Excellent digital and IT skills
  • Collaborative mindset and strong interpersonal skills
  • Genuine commitment to equity, inclusion, and social justice

Why Join?

  • Flexible, remote working (UK only)
  • 25 days annual leave (pro rata) + UK bank holidays + Christmas closure
  • Opportunity to work with a global alliance of inspiring member organisations
  • Be part of a movement that's changing perceptions and empowering communities

Applicants with lived experience of facial difference or from minoritised backgrounds are especially encouraged to apply.

Charity People is a forward thinking, inclusive organisation that actively and deliberately promotes equity, diversity and inclusion. We know organisations thrive when inclusion is at the forefront. We evidence our commitment by matching charity needs with the skills and experience of candidates irrespective of background e.g. age, disability (including hidden disabilities), gender, gender identity or gender reassignment, marriage and civil partnership, pregnancy and maternity, race, religion or belief, or sexual orientation. We do this because we believe that greater diversity leads to greater results for the charities we work with.
