About this role: 

Reporting to the Finance Manager, this role plays an important part in supporting our Finance Team in delivery of SIB’s new strategy and focus. 

Key responsibilities 

1. To ensure all bank mandate updates and KYC requests are dealt with efficiently and records accurately maintained. 
2. To be responsible for ensuring that, by month end, all bank reconciliations are completed for all entities, required for Management accountants to run loan and grant reports.
3. To reconcile and post interest for non-feed bank accounts when statements are received. 
4. To prepare the monthly Cash Analysis Report. 
5. To monitor credit control. 
6. To process monthly direct debit collections. 
7. To ensure the filing and archiving is up to date. 
8. To assist the Governance Team with minute taking at Committee meetings as and when required. 
9. To enter invoices into Receipt Bank/Xero, checking that coding and budget data is correct. 
10. To monitor and maintain shared finance mailboxes. 
11. To manage the electronic approval system – ApprovalMax. Matching Invoices to purchase orders and ensuring invoices are uploaded with correct authorisations. 
12. To handle any payment issues raised by internal/external team members for timely resolution. 
13. To prepare for and make weekly payments to SIB grantees, investees, employees and suppliers following laid down procedures. 
14. To set up payment templates for new payees within SIB’s agreed controls for suppliers, grantees, investees and team members. To support the Project Accountant and Head of Governance in maintaining and reviewing the supplier register to be complaint with ISO. 
15. To upload/import payments for approval when grants and loan disbursement requests are required. 
16. To be responsible for credit card and Pleo card book keeping and reconciliations. 
17. To generate sales invoices. 
18. To enter invoices into Receipt Bank/Xero, checking that coding and budget data is correct. 
19. To match Invoices to purchase orders and ensuring invoices are uploaded with correct authorisations. 
20. To be the bank administrator for all accounts in relation to systems admin.

About the role

About you

This role requires experience of assisting in managing a shop including knowledge of retail and health and safety legislation and administrative/cash handling experience.

You will also have an ability to deal with customers and maintaining a high level of customer service, have good verbal, written communication skills, as well as being comfortable using IT and EPOS reporting. You will have an ability to motivate yourself and others, have excellent organisational skills and be comfortable working under pressure and dealing with changing priorities.

Job Title:  Finance Manager

Key responsibilities – Note the following list is not exhaustive and percentages are indicative only.

Oversight of accounting and cash management

Most of the detailed work in this section is undertaken by the direct reports with the oversight and management being provided by this Finance Manager role

· Appropriate recording, processing, coding, posting of all financial transactions – including but not limited to bank receipts and payments, accounts payable, accounts receivable, conference fee income, invoicing, journal entries.

· Regular timely bank reconciliations.

· Invoicing and credit control

· Chart of accounts structure and department codes

· Gift Aid claims

· VAT returns

· Foreign Speaker returns to HMRC

· Regular reconciliation of balance sheet accounts

 Role Particulars - 

Working Pattern: Full time working hours, including weekly in-person team meetings in London: monthly all-staff meetings on Tuesdays twice a month, and weekly on Tuesdays twice a month.  The nature of this role means that some travel and working away from home will be required, as agreed in advance.  Specifically, the Finance Manager must be available for the annual leadership conference and some or all of the New Wine annual summer festival (on-site or remote support).  

Places of work: This role is eligible for hybrid and flexible working, with a minimum of 1 day in the London office a week. 

Supervision: The post holder will receive regular supervision from their line manager.  

Role review: There is a three-month probationary period for this role.  The post holder will then receive a quarterly rolling review of performance, the role, job description, terms and package.

We are an agile social enterprise looking for a qualified Finance Manager to manage and operate our existing finance function. Working flexibly from home, you will perform a core role in our small, friendly virtual team helping to maintain financial stability and control as we focus on our mission to deliver successful projects across a range of settings globally. Our partner, an international charity, seeks an interim finance manager to support the international finance team. The successful candidate will be an all-rounder, with experience in preparing consolidated annual accounts, management accounts, whilst being hands on and taking on transactional elements of the role.

Responsibilities

Role responsibilities 

• Process payments and maintain purchase ledger - process expenses, invoices and other payments in XLedger for payment in a timely and accurate manner and reviews supplier statements and outstanding items regularly and efficiently.

Are you an experienced Senior Finance professional wanting to make a real difference for anyone affected by dementia?  This role will support our Income and Engagement Directorate which includes raising funds so that Alzheimer’s Society can provide essential services to those who need us.  
 
The Senior Finance Business Partner will assist the directorate with financial analysis and advice that will help shape decision making.
 
As a member of the Finance Partnering Team, you will support budget holders to maximise their impact and deliver a high quality, customer focused finance partnering service to stakeholders, including support to operational decision making, commercial development and producing forecasts, budgets and insightful analysis.
 
You'll have experience in preparing financial reports, budgets, forecasts, business plans, and modelling of financial data. You will advocate and promote the Society's core values (trusted experts, better together, compassionate and determined to make a difference) able working collaboratively with wider teams successfully and professionally to complete tasks.

Business Development Manager – Environmental Markets

This role will develop that connection in the fast moving sector of Nature Finance, Business Development and Nature Based Solutions working with others who are creatively and systematically looking for solutions which will connect Surrey’s wildlife at a landscape level.

We are building an innovative new team focused on county wide recovery and green finance investment within the county of Surrey. This role will also manage the Trust’s internal and external processes around Nature (green) Finance and drive forward investment in nature at a landscape level.  

As a senior role reporting into the Director of Business Development and Partnerships; practical experience of green finance including biodiversity net gain is essential; experience will also need to include demonstrable examples of project managing medium/large scale projects, contract management, financial analysis and working in a fast paced environment.

Our challenge is to restore Surrey’s nature and maximise climate adaptation and resilience following Lawton’s approach for a bigger, better, more joined up ecological network.  We will do this both on our own land holding and by working with other landowners and managers in partnership as we strive towards a target of 30% of land connected and protected for nature by 2030.  We have the opportunity to embed a zero carbon, nature-based solution approach within economic recovery and landowner decision-making.

• Monitor and evaluate the impact of Solving Kids’ Cancer UK’s patient-centric research programme, working closely with the Communications and Campaigns Manager to effectively communicate this to a wide range of audiences.
