Purpose of Role: 

Reporting to the Supporter Care Manager, you will deliver excellent customer care to supporters and potential supporters of Operation Smile UK. As an integral part of the Supporter Care team, you will successfully support the Individual Giving programme and wider fundraising activities, providing support to ever increasing income and supporter stewardship for the delivery of increasing levels of unrestricted income for Operation Smile UK.

Key Responsibilities:

• Be the first point of contact for existing supporters and new supporters who respond to our fundraising activities by phone, email, letter or in person, letter, or email delivering outstanding supporter care
• Liaise with supporters in timely communication via email, phone, and mail with excellent customer care
• Priority is to answer incoming phone calls and escalate any difficult situations/complaints to Supporter Care Manager
• Support processing incoming phone and postal donations
• Assist with banking and processing incoming/outgoing post
• Be responsible for thanking our supporters including by letter, email and phone, despatch of information and fundraising materials
• Enter and maintain accurate records on our Database
• Maintain and assist with all types of donation processing administration and Database record amendments/records being kept up to date this will include Gift Aid status and contact consent requests
• Assist with cancelling and amending all types of regular gifts and sending out appropriate letters
• Manage removal process and consent process
• Assist with sending out problem payment letters
• Assist with handling material requests and recording actions on Database
• Assist with any third-party agency supporter care requests
• Maintain sensitive information and records with appropriate confidentiality

Skills and Experience Required:

Essential:

• Excellent customer service for internal and external stakeholders
• Written and verbal communications skills
• Excellent phone manner
• Strong eye for detail, methodical and accurate (critical that the database and supporter details at 100% accurate)
• Degree or equivalent qualification (i.e. marketing qualification).

• At least two years’ experience in a junior supporter care or administrative role
• Experience of donation or financial administration and working in a direct marketing environment or supporter care environment desirable with good knowledge of Microsoft Office.

Position:  Kingston BuddyUp Coordinator

Location: From our office in Teddington, Richmond Upon Thames, London

Salary: pro rata of £25,500-£28,000 depending on experience, incl OLW

Richmond AID has successfully delivered the BuddyUp project in Richmond and Kingston for more than 10 years. We have established referral routes into the project and good links for attracting volunteers. This role is to work supporting young people in the borough of Kingston and you will work closely with our Richmond BuddyUp Coordinator.

BuddyUp Coordinator is a fun and exciting role at Richmond AID which requires someone who is motivated, creative and can work from their own initiative. The Buddy Up Coordinator will match disabled young people aged 14 to 17 to a volunteer buddy who will support them to access services and leisure opportunities. This post will be based in our offices in Teddington and will predominantly cover the borough of Richmond though at times you may also provide support in the borough of Kingston.

Your role is to recruit and train the volunteers, and then match them with a young person, providing ongoing support to young people and volunteers. You will work closely with our Kingston Buddy Coordinator running joint monthly group activities. So far trips have included bowling, cinema, crazy golf, shopping, days out in London, laser tag, boat trips, etc.

About you

You will be organised, and ideally have experience of running a project and experience of working with disabled people and/or young people. Training can be provided. You will have excellent communication and IT skills, administrative skills and be fully competent on Microsoft applications. You will have the ability to work independently as well as part of a team.

The Role 

JLGB are recruiting a Finance & Fundraising Coordinator who will play a vital role in helping the charity achieve its financial, fundraising and organisational objectives. Supporting the Director of Operations & Finance, the role is essential for the smooth running of the charity’s finances, collaborating with teams across JLGB, as well as volunteers and external suppliers. With some support from JLGB’s administration team, you will be undertaking all financial transactions including payment runs, bank and income reconciliations. Managing our donor database, ensuring that Gift Aid is collected regularly. Responsibilities will include:

• Processing and reconciling various financial administrative tasks, including petty cash and incoming card payments (via stripe and other card processors)

As Finance & Operations Administrator you will have a key role to play working closely with the trustees and Head of Fundraising & Communications to co-ordinate activities,  to ensure day to day operations in the UK run smoothly.  

The role as advertised covers a broad range of activities. However there will be peaks and troughs of workload.

The main responsibility of this role is to assist the Head of Resources in the efficient and smooth running of financial functional activities of the charity.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

1. Process and prepare financial and business forms for the purpose of checking account balances, facilitating purchases, etc.

2. Perform routine calculations to produce analyses and reports as requested by the Head of Resources and assisting in developing and maintaining all financial reporting within the charity.

3. Assisting in the preparation and maintenance of the charity’s annual income and expenditure budget.

4. Assisting in monthly bank reconciliations and other balance sheet accounts.

5. Dealing with finance related queries from staff, senior management, supporters, and suppliers.

6. Maintenance and reconciliation of direct debits, standing orders and other online donations.

7. Supporting the financial controller in the planning and preparation of statutory accounts and the annual audit.

8. Ensuring accurate gift aid records are maintained for supporters and conducting the annual gift aid claim.

             a.   All income and expenditure are properly approved, banked and processed in a timely manner.

About the Ukraine programme

Since the Russian invasion of 24th February 2022, Ukraine has been subjected to heavy artillery bombardment, missile, and air strikes, as well as the use of landmines and cluster munitions. The scale of the conflict and the use of high impact and indiscriminate weapons requires an urgent and extensive response. MAG responded to the crisis in 2022 and now employs nearly 200 staff in our Ukraine programme, in a range of operational and support/administrative activities with further scale-up planned during 2024. The programme has a representation office in Kyiv, and operational offices in Mykolaiv (also covering accessible areas of Kherson) and now in Kharkiv.

About the role

This role reports to the Country Director (CD) and encompasses a wide range of duties and responsibilities, including managing logistics, procurement, basic financial, and HR services. The Base Manager serves as the primary point of contact for ensuring robust and efficient administration and field coordination. Additionally, this role involves representing MAG in interactions with local authorities, other organizations, and NGOs within the relevant area of operations.

About you

You will have experience working and living overseas, ideally in sensitive conflict or post-conflict environments, with the ability to work independently with minimal supervision. In the capacity of a security focal point in a high-risk location, you should possess experience in monitoring dynamic security situations and formulating comprehensive security procedures and policies. The Bone Cancer Research Trust is seeking an enthusiastic and proactive Fundraising Assistant to join our fabulous Fundraising Team and to act as a first point of contact for all fundraising enquiries.

As an integral member of the Fundraising team, the Fundraising Assistant will support the delivery of a range of successful fundraising activities across the organisation, in order to maximise income for the Bone Cancer Research Trust. From head shaves to skydives, dress-down days to marathons, you will provide excellent stewardship support and help us to develop solid and long-lasting relationships with our supporters, groups and companies based across the UK.

Duties will include:

• Providing administrative and operational support across the fundraising team;

Our incredible supporters are at the heart of all that we do at Pancreatic Cancer Action. This role offers a unique opportunity to work with our fantastic supporters daily. Providing them with the tools, knowledge and materials they need to help reach and exceed their fundraising targets. From head shaves to cake sales, dress-down days to extreme sports. You will be the first point of call for all fundraising enquiries and be on hand to provide bespoke stewardship support to ensure we develop long-lasting relationships with our PCA community, groups and companies across the UK.

 

Main responsibilities:  

• Provide admin and operational support to the Fundraising Team
• Accurately record and manage data using the Salesforce CRM system.
• Ensure that fundraisers and supporters get timely correspondents by email or phone.
• Inspire supporters through innovative new stewardship ideas, sending out relevant materials and offering support and advice to enhance their event/fundraising.
• Maintain and develop relationships with existing supporters, helping them to exceed their fundraising targets and inspiring them to become life-long supporters.

Fundraising Events Officer

Location: The role is based at the Trust’s office in West Berkshire with a minimum of three days per week expected to be worked at our Newbury office. Flexible working arrangements are available with the understanding that this must meet the objectives of the charity and requirements of the role.

Salary range: £22,000 - £25,000 FTE, depending on experience.

Purpose

This is an exciting and vital role supporting the delivery of the events programme within a leading mental health charity.

We are looking for someone with a love for events and a passion for supporting people wanting to raise money to make a difference for young people’s mental health. You will be an excellent communicator, highly organised, and able to work on multiple projects concurrently. You will be committed to delivering an exceptional supporter experience for our event participants and community fundraisers. Experience within the third sector is desirable but not a necessity.

As Fundraising Events Officer, your role is to support the Fundraising Events Manager to plan, deliver and review an exciting calendar of Charlie Waller fundraising events, supporting a wide range of third-party challenge events and community led activities.

Key responsibilities and duties

The Fundraising Events Officer will support the overall delivery of our varied events programme, bringing their enthusiasm to a calendar of events that aim to raise significant income for the charity, whilst also raising the charities profile and reach. They will play a key role in the delivery of well-loved annual events and support our growing network of event participants. Including but not limited to:

• Supporting the overall delivery of our events programme, working closely with the Fundraising Events Manager, Head of Fundraising and fundraising committees.
• The opportunity to take a lead role on the planning, delivery and evaluation of a number of events, managing the expenditure budget and meeting income targets.
• Maintain event income and supporter records in the database, working closely with the Fundraising Assistant and finance team on processing income and invoices.
• Support the fundraising committees with their activities, providing administrative support and guidance as needed.
• Support the promotion of our fundraising events, writing copy, building emails and supporting social activity.
• Support the development of our event marketing collateral, to support participants fundraising efforts.

• Liaise with a wide variety of people and organisations including supporters of the charity, trainers, funders, other statutory and voluntary organisations who work in the mental health field, and members of the public.
• Ensure compliance to data protection, safeguarding, confidentiality and relevant organisational policies and procedures.

The Fundraising Officer at the Childhood Eye Cancer Trust (CHECT) supports a wide range of the charity’s activities, including but not limited to, helping to develop and grow income from individual donors with a focus on developing strong relationships with donors and families; as well as assisting with CHECT’s overall admin and operations.

Leicester Life Links is a mental health, wellbeing and recovery support service. We are a community-based service and we work to a recovery model. We provide a range of support services for people with mental ill health to access their local community, including outreach support, 1:1 support, peer support and recovery education workshops. We have been operating in the area for a number of years and offer a specialised service to individuals within Leicestershire who are aged 18 and upwards.
