PURPOSE OF THE ROLE
To develop, implement and evaluate the Banter Project youth service in partnership with adopted young people in Northern Ireland. These young people range in age from 14-25 years and live throughout Northern Ireland. The role will primarily work with the project participants, but has additional relationships with community organisations, educational establishments and employers to ensure that all project goals and outcomes are efficiently and effectively met.
MAIN DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- To lead the development and delivery of all elements of the Banter Project adopted young people’s service within Northern Ireland in a fun, interactive, interesting and an ability appropriate manner.
- To support the project participants to play an active role in the design and implementation of a programme of monthly activities for adopted young people. Sustaining and developing a monthly social hub, supporting the development of basic life-skills, and preparation for opportunities in further education, training, employment.
- To support a Youth Advisory Group (YAG) in its role to enable adopted young people to steer the Banter Project while developing skills which promote independence, personal development, social and life skills, leadership, and community involvement.
- To organise and supervise the work of the Youth Services Support Worker to deliver the Banter Project.

Purpose of Post: The Events Coordinator will help to plan, promote and deliver a diverse programme of online and in-person events that reflect the organisation’s mission to support, empower and amplify the voices of people with lived experience of mental illness. 1. Financial Controls

About the role: Principal Responsibilities
- Finance Administration - 60% of role
• Processing grant payments (10-15 weekly) via online banking in line with authorisation limits
• Inputting and updating all incoming and outgoing transactions on QuickBooks.
• Saving payment confirmations on the server and on QuickBooks.
• Scanning and Electronic filing of accounts and finance invoices, receipts, credits.
• Calling organisations in different countries to verify bank account details (as part of anti-fraud checks.)
• Weekly and monthly bank reconciliations.
• Financial support to CEO and auditors for annual audit.
• Administration of 3 company credit cards and company expenses.
• Ad hoc administration duties to support charity and CEO including communications with the Charity Commission.
2. Grant assistance - 5%
• Review and edit of grant letters for c.15 grants per year.
• Email liaison with grantees to ensure timely submission of paperwork including annual reports.
3. Assistance to CEO - 25%
• Provide a professional, comprehensive and high-quality executive support to the CEO, including time, diary and email management, travel and accommodation arrangements, expenses, providing support to meetings, drafting appropriate correspondence and document production.

4. Office Management - 10%
• Handling incoming and outgoing correspondence e.g. post, office phone

Kingston Bereavement Support (KBS) is the only bereavement service in Kingston Upon Thames. We are a registered provider to local GPs and an organisational member of the Childhood Bereavement Network. Senior Management Accountant (Part Time – 3 Days per Week)
A national charity seeking a Interim Senior Commercial Management Accountant to support their finance team during a period of growth and transformation.
This role will play a critical part in leading the development of costing and pricing models to support strategic decision-making. You will also deliver high-quality financial planning and strengthen financial insight across the organisation.
This is a part-time role (3 days per week) offered on a interim basis until April 2026. The charity offers remote working, with access to a London office for those who prefer a hybrid approach.
The Role
As Senior Commercial Management Accountant, you will provide crucial support across financial planning, forecasting, modelling, and operational finance. Working closely with the Head of Finance & Finance Director, you will help deliver the charity’s mid-year forecast, develop organisational planning tools for the upcoming financial year, and lead on advanced costing and pricing work to support strategic decisions.
You will also support technical areas including partial VAT recovery, internal financial controls, and the migration of a small trading subsidiary to a new finance system. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys analytical problem-solving, partnering with non-finance colleagues, and contributing to organisational change.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the development of costing and pricing models to support strategic decision-making.
- Deliver the mid-year (4+8) forecast, providing variance analysis and clear narrative insight.
- Prepare planning tools and templates for the upcoming financial year.
- Provide financial guidance and analysis to non-finance managers across the organisation.
- Produce high-quality management reporting for senior leadership.
- Support technical accounting matters, including partial VAT recovery and VAT group consideration.
- Lead on the migration of financial processes for the charity’s trading subsidiary to a new finance system.
- Conduct internal audits and support compliance with statutory and charity regulatory requirements.

About You
You will be a part-qualified or qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA, CIPFA or equivalent) with strong experience in management accounting and developing robust cost and pricing models – ideally with experience working within commercial environments.
You’ll bring:
- Experience developing financial models, costings, and pricing work.
- Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
- Excellent Excel capability (modelling, data validation, pivot tables, lookup functions).
- Experience supporting non-finance colleagues with forecasting, variance analysis, and performance insight.
