The South Asia Regional Team provides strategic leadership and effective management of WaterAid’s country programmes in South Asia. We enable country programmes to enhance their impact by ensuring they have the skills, expertise, funding, and strategic partnerships to deliver WaterAid’s mission in the region. 

About the role

As our Regional Technical Adviser – Climate Resilient WASH, you will ensure the high technical quality of our climate resilient WASH programmes in the region and work closely with Country Programmes, partners and stakeholders to drive sustainable change.

In this role, you will:

• Provide technical guidance, quality assurance and support to country programmes including for climate resilient WASH programming, system strengthening and the sustainability of WASH services.
• Implement capacity building initiatives to enhance competencies of staff, partners and stakeholders to deliver sustainable and climate resilient WASH programming.
• Build and strengthen strategic partnerships, the knowledge base and thought leadership in WASH and climate resilient programming through networking, knowledge sharing and advocacy.
• Support country programmes to integrate and prioritise WASH Climate Resilient measures in key national policies, strategies, and planning frameworks such as NAPs and NDCs.
• Champion WaterAid’s commitment to equity, inclusion and safeguarding.

Requirements

To be successful, you will need:

• Extensive, relevant professional experience at a senior level in climate resilient, WASH-related programmes and policy advocacy for LMIC countries in rural, urban and climate affected contexts.
• Demonstrated experience in strengthening WASH systems and understanding of the WASH sector’s interaction with other systems such as climate change, health, urban planning.
• Excellent and up to date knowledge of technologies, approaches, technical standards and guidelines related to climate resilient and sustainable WASH relevant to South Asia and how to practically apply these to programming.
• Significant experience of working in a technical capacity at senior level in the South Asia region, preferably in at least one of the countries in which WaterAid operates.
• Willingness and ability to travel regionally, specifically to country programmes in Bangladesh, Nepal and Pakistan, and internationally (sometimes at short notice).

Although not essential, we’d prefer you to have:

• A chartered membership with a recognised professional association in a relevant technical field.
• Proven experience of stakeholder engagement that include government, private sector, and donors with high level of influencing skills.
• Good understanding and experience in National Adaptation Planning (NAP) and Nationally Determined Contributions (NDC) revision and implementation, climate finance processes, modalities, and sources.

As Senior Grants Executive, you’ll play a vital role in the post-award administration of our grants programme, ensuring that funding is effectively managed and impactful. You’ll work closely with The Royal Marsden hospital staff, fundraisers, and communications teams to support a wide range of projects—from psychological support services to early-phase drug development.

You’ll also:

· Administer grant-funded projects such as Pre-doctoral Fellowships and Quality Improvement initiatives.

About the role and who we are looking for 

We are seeking a Sustainability and Evaluation Officer to play a vital role in helping us build the foundations of our sustainability and impact work during a key period of organisational development and change. 

Reporting to our Sustainability and Impact Lead, this role will provide essential analytical, coordination, and stakeholder engagement support as we: 

• Develop and implement a Monitoring, Evaluation and Learning (MEL) framework 

• Complete our first environmental and social impact baseline assessment 

• Prepare our first Sustainability and Impact Report 

• Begin embedding ESG (Environmental, Social, and Governance) and sustainability principles into all aspects of our operations and services. 

Much of this work will involve identifying and organising data currently dispersed across the organisation (e.g. spreadsheets, systems, teams), contributing to the development of a new CRM system, and building processes and tools that enable us to better measure, evaluate and communicate our impact. 

You will work closely with colleagues across all departments – particularly in resident services, property, hospitality & commercial, IT and finance – as well as with residents and external partners.  You’ll also help ensure sustainability and impact considerations are built into how we make decisions, improve services, and report externally. 

This role is ideal for someone early to mid-career with strong data and evaluation skills, excellent attention to detail, and an interest in how environmental and social change happens within complex organisations.  If you’re proactive, values-driven, and excited to shape something new, we’d love to hear from you. 

Main duties and responsibilities    

1. Data discovery and management 

• Locate, clean, and organise data from across the charity (including resident services, environmental data, property portfolio, HR and finance) 

• Help define and implement consistent data collection processes to improve quality and accessibility of information 

2. Evaluation and learning 

• Support the development and implementation of our Monitoring, Evaluation and Learning (MEL) framework 

• Conduct or contribute to evaluations using both quantitative and qualitative methods 

• Gather resident feedback through interviews, surveys, focus groups, or other participatory methods 

3. Sustainability and ESG support 

• Assist in collating environmental and ESG data (e.g. waste, water, energy, transport, emissions) from across our sites and operations 

• Support the analysis and presentation of environmental data for our baseline assessment and future reporting 

• Contribute to the integration of ESG standards into reporting and planning 

4. System and process development 

• Work with colleagues and external providers to define impact-related data requirements for our new CRM system 

• Support data migration, clean-up, and integration activities linked to sustainability and impact 

5. Reporting and communication 

• Contribute to the development of our first Sustainability and Impact Report 

• Produce clear, accessible summaries, visualisations, dashboards, and insights for internal and external audiences

6. Grants and service impact 

• Support the monitoring and analysis of our charitable giving and grant-making (including out-pensions and grant organisations) 

• Help identify how we can better evidence the impact of our services to residents and other stakeholders 

7. Coordination and admin support 

• Provide administrative, scheduling, and coordination support across sustainability and evaluation projects 

• Contribute to stakeholder engagement activities with residents, partners and staff 

Person specification 

Essential 

• Experience working with data: gathering, cleaning, analysing, and presenting it clearly and effectively 

• Knowledge of evaluation and research methods (qualitative and quantitative)

The team plays a pivotal role in generating and overseeing referrals for our frontline services whilst managing all children and young people placement-related activity. In this role, you’ll work closely with our Senior Business Development Marketing Manager to drive referral generating activity through both business development and marketing activity. This may include direct mail and advertising campaigns, both on and offline, through to organising and attending events, both those hosted by other organisations and our own. Role Requirements

To be successful in this role, you’ll demonstrate:

About the role 

This is an exciting opportunity to join UKCF at a time of growth, ambition and innovation. We are looking for an interim Partnerships Officer to help us build and deliver impactful national partnerships that bring real, measurable benefits to communities across the UK. 

Initially for a period of six months, you will hit the ground running to pick up an existing portfolio of national programmes currently under delivery. You’ll lead on programme administration including design and delivery, as well as collaborating with UKCF finance and membership colleagues to collate and disseminate programme data for funders and internal stakeholders. 

In this client facing role, you will be responsible for administration and operational support in the development, delivery, and evaluation of high-value, strategic partnerships, whether with government departments, major trusts and foundations, corporate partners, or other longstanding partners. 

You’ll work closely with the Director of Partnerships & Insight and community foundations to deliver an existing portfolio of programmes and to shape strong proposals and administer the end-to-end implementation of new partnerships. 

You’ll also play a key role in helping UKCF and the wider network become more insight-led and data-driven, strengthening our approach to programme design, learning, and impact evaluation.

This role requires exceptional organisational, programme and project management skills. Experience in a trust or foundation, grantmaking, especially within programme design, is a bonus.

You will report to the Director of Partnerships & Insight and also work closely with the wider team including finance, membership and communications staff. 

Key responsibilities 

• Programme delivery and administration – Support the smooth running of national partnerships and programmes, ensuring they are delivered on time, within budget, and to a high standard. Maintain accurate financial and programme records, track deadlines, and make sure monitoring and reporting requirements are met. 

• Reporting and insight – Analyse programme data and contribute to clear, high-quality reports for funders, partners, and internal teams. Capture learning and examples of good practice to strengthen future programmes. 

• Collaboration and communication – Work closely with colleagues across UKCF, including communications, finance and membership, to ensure effective programme delivery. Provide timely advice and support to team members, community foundations, and funders, resolving queries quickly and accurately. 

• Relationships and improvement – Build and maintain strong, positive working relationships with funders, community foundations, and delivery partners. Identify opportunities to refine and improve processes to make delivery more efficient and impactful. 

Who we’re looking for: 

We’re seeking someone who is proactive, highly organised, confident with data, and comfortable juggling competing priorities while building strong relationships. You’ll bring experience in programme administration, accurate record-keeping, and reporting, with the ability to translate information into clear insights. Strong digital and technology skills are important, as is the ability to work collaboratively across teams and with external partners. Ideally, you’ll also have some experience in grant-making, process improvement, or using systems like Salesforce, but above all we’re looking for someone who is adaptable, curious, and motivated by UKCF’s values of inclusivity, collaboration, and ambition for communities. 

ROLE SUMMARY 

Reporting to the Director of Partnerships & Insight, this role is central to the effective day-to-day running of UKCF’s national partnerships and grant programmes. You will play a key role in keeping programmes on schedule and within budget, with strong administration and attention to detail at the heart of the position.
