Director of Fundraising & Partnerships

At the British Liver Trust, we are fighting to improve liver health for everyone. Liver disease and liver cancer are a public health crisis, yet too often overlooked. We raise awareness, provide vital information and support, campaign for earlier diagnosis, and give a voice to those affected. 

We are looking for a dynamic and strategic Director of Fundraising & Partnerships to join our Senior Management Team and lead our ambitious plans to grow income and impact. This pivotal role will shape and deliver our fundraising strategy, diversify income streams, and build long-term relationships with major donors, corporate partners, trusts, and foundations. 

Having merged with the Children’s Liver Disease Foundation in 2024, we are here for everyone, from tiny babies to adults, diagnosed with a liver condition. We are preparing to launch an exciting rebrand and a new name, Liver UK, in 2026. • Lead a multi-year fundraising and partnerships strategy across trusts, foundations, major donors, corporates, legacies, individuals, community, and digital channels.

This role is offered on a permanent full-time contract basis paying a salary between £68,000 to £75,000 per annum with flexible hybrid working arrangements at their Stevenage office.

The Director of Philanthropy Partnerships will be a member of the executive leadership team, and they will lead the ambitious Philanthropy team to fundraise from corporate partners, Major Donors, Trusts and Foundations. They will operationalise the three-year strategy, with realistic stretch targets and develop a prospect pipeline, mapping stakeholder and donor relationships. They will develop a personal caseload of donors capable of giving +£100K, over the next three years, building relationships with them and co-ordinating their solicitation and stewardship. The post holder will work closely with the Executive Director to identify key influencers and supporters, to build a strong group of high-calibre ambassadors.

They are looking for someone with demonstrable experience in securing six & seven-figure gifts and providing excellent relationship management. They are looking for a candidate with a strong background in leadership with the charity sector and experience in managing ambassadors and patrons. About the role

Newnham College is seeking to recruit a dynamic and pro-active person to take on the role of Deputy Development Director to support the Development Director in the management and running of the College’s Development Office.  This role will focus on developing productive relationships with College alumnae and donors, provide oversight of all aspects of gift processing, data  management and prospect research and regular giving and provide line management and leadership for the Development team. Specific responsibilities for this role include the College’s donor stewardship and legacy fundraising programmes, and working with the Development Director supporting and developing relationships with existing and potential donors.

This is a permanent, full-time post, working 37.5 hours a week. The salary is paid at point 51 on the University’s single salary spine, the current value for which is £50,253 per annum. Flexibility is a requirement as a large number of events are in the evenings and at the weekend and some travel involving over-night stays may be required occasionally. You will be an experienced office manager and know how to get the best out of a team of keen professionals and possess the gravitas to deputise for the Development Director in her absence. Although charity or housing sector experience would be advantageous, we are also happy to look at people wanting to gain experience in this area providing they have knowledge of UK financial regulations, charity governance and compliance within housing providers.

As Director of Libraries, Sport & Physical Activity and Communities, you’ll report directly to the Chief Executive and play a pivotal role in delivering our strategic vision. You'll lead a diverse portfolio of physical and digital services - from Glasgow Club gyms and our citywide Libraries to vital community learning and engagement programmes, and ensure they contribute meaningfully to the mental, physical, and economic wellbeing of Glasgow’s people.

You’ll oversee major strategic projects and transformational change, driving innovation, inclusion, financial sustainability, and service excellence across your portfolio. As a key member of our Senior Leadership Team, you’ll also help shape Glasgow Life’s future direction, strengthen our income base, and lead engagement with strategic partners locally, nationally and internationally.

Who you are

We’re looking for a strategic, inspiring and collaborative leader with a deep understanding of how culture, sport, libraries and community services improve lives.

You’ll bring strong business acumen, a people-focused approach, and a commitment to delivering public value in a complex, high-profile environment. If you can balance social impact with income generation and lead inclusively and authentically, we’d love to hear from you.

We’re looking for:

· A degree (or equivalent) in a relevant discipline, along with evidence of ongoing professional and leadership development

· Senior leadership experience in a large, complex organisation delivering customer-focused services

· Excellent communication and influencing skills, with the ability to manage diverse and high-level stakeholder relationships

· A commercial mindset and excellent financial and budget management skills

· In-depth knowledge of challenges facing the delivery of culture, sport, libraries and community services in both public and commercial contexts

· A proven track record in leading successful organisational change and service redesign

· Strategic thinking and problem-solving abilities, with experience of driving performance and continuous improvement

· Experience working across organisational boundaries, with a solid grasp of political, governance and decision-making frameworks

· An understanding of the wider public and third-sector landscape in Scotland

· A personal and professional commitment to Glasgow Life’s values — demonstrated through inclusive, values-led leadership
