ABOUT THE ROLE

As the Senior Data and Insights Officer you will work with the Chief Impact Officer, within our Impact Team. Responsiblities will include: 

Database Usage and Reporting

• Support our Salesforce Lead in creating reports and dashboards, ensuring all data is relevant, accurate and secure.  
• Use our database management system to generate reports and data analysis for the Senior Management Team, and other internal colleagues, to support marketing campaigns, fundraising campaigns, statutory information requests and organisational insight.
• Enhance our data analysis and reporting by developing predictive modelling and exploring statistical significance of our findings.
• Prepare reports for college partners, funders, and the Board, which set out our data, findings and impact,
• Confidently write about insights and findings from our data, generating learnings and recommendations for the organisation and other stakeholders.

Internal and External Evaluations

• Support the Chief Impact Officer in developing assessment frameworks to robustly measure our impact and designing dissemination plans, to best harness and communicate that impact.
• Oversee and implement internal evaluation activity, for example, finalising student surveys, focus group and interview tools.
• Review and enhance data collection tools, process, analysis, and reporting.
• Undertake qualitative and quantitative analysis of our evaluation data; and use the data to make recommendations to improve programme quality.
• Review and keep abreast of literature and research in the further education, wider education, tuition and research landscape. You will share and apply learnings to our evaluation processes and programme delivery.

 Data Quality and Assurance

• Support our ongoing compliance with GDPR across the organisation, ensuring that our data is robust, accurate and proportionate to the needs of the organisation.

We are looking for a Finance Officer to join our team to administer the financial affairs of the District. This role will include working closely with the District Secretary and Treasurer to implement financial policies and controls, assisting with preparing budgets and accounts, managing payroll, processing receipts and payments and maintaining appropriate accounting records. 

Role Purpose and Objectives

Responsibilities

Financial Controls and Policies

• Support the District Treasurer to implement proper financial policies and controls, ensuring appropriate accounting codes for churches and charities are complied with.

Budgets and Accounts

• Assist the District Secretary, Treasurer and Resourcing Mission Committee to prepare budget and circuit assessments for the District with reference to the District Mission Plan.
• Work with the District Secretary and Treasurer to prepare annual accounts for the District, including liaising with the auditors and helping to draft the Trustees’ Annual Report, particularly with regard to accounting practice and policies.
• Support the District Secretary as needed to ensure compliance with the Methodist Church and Charity Commission requirements, including supplying the information for HMRC P11D forms.

Payroll

• Ensure District employees’ and ministers’ payroll information is correct and liaise with the central Methodist payroll bureau so that staff are paid on time.

Administration of Bank Accounts

• Monitor cash flow and administer transfers between bank accounts.
• Set up approved payments in online banking and liaise with signatories to authorise these for payment.
• Liaise with the Treasurer and/or District Secretary on transactions with the Central Finance Board and Trustees for Methodist Church Purposes, preparing paperwork to facilitate drawdown of funds.
• Administer changes to banking mandates.
• Administer changes to Direct Debits and Standing Order instructions.

Receipts and Payments/Book-keeping

• Check invoices and expenses claims for accuracy, before sending to authorised persons for approval.
• Record all bank transactions for all bank accounts on a monthly basis.
• Produce monthly fund summaries, with detailed analyses.
• Provide monthly ‘sub-accounts’, where required, for specific projects

Other key tasks

• Manage the District’s Financial Record systems, including archiving information as necessary
• With the District Secretary, review and renew the District’s Insurance Policies. 
• Maintain the District’s Asset Register.
• Other duties commensurate with the role as agreed with the District Secretary.

Job responsibilities 

STRATEGY  

• To work closely alongside the Bishop and Archdeacon in developing, delivering and reviewing a measurable and impactful Edmonton Area Plan within the 2030 Vision for London. 
• To actively encourage and enable the projects and plans for mission across the Area working closely with the Bishop, Archdeacon and the Area Deans for each of the four Deaneries and other Area and Diocesan staff. 
• To develop a strategy in the Area in line with the overarching diocesan Mission Framework, which relates to the other four Area strategies and which leads directly towards plans for growth
• Some of these mission plans will relate to work on funding applications and others which relate to the increased provision and maintenance of services by personal interventions and strategic support.  
• Lead on the stakeholder engagement and change management planning for the larger sized mission programmes within the Area 
• To work with the Diocese of London 2030 Vision program office to gather appropriate metrics in order to provide a framework for good strategic decision making.
• To support parishes as they develop their mission and vision, adding value such as in facilitating vision and planning events, linking with partners and external bodies. 
• To build capacity for mission across the Episcopal Area with different church traditions and practices  

TEAM  

• To enjoy playing a full part in the Area Staff Team, sharing in decision making and development of the program of culture change. 
• To work strategically with particular parishes and clergy from time to time as they identify opportunities for making a difference within their local communities.
• To join the Diocese team of Deans of Mission at their monthly meetings and in ongoing collaboration and cross-border working. 

MAINTENANCE OF SERVICES

• To work with the Area Deans in the delivery of particular mission plans and initiatives in their Deaneries that relate to and will result in services of worship taking place in these churches.
• To encourage churches in their community engagement and social action initiatives, including partnership working across the Area and on specific local projects, sharing best practice so that new and existing services of worship will develop and be maintained to address their needs. 
• To provide support for clergy in the delivery of project work in relation to buildings so they will draw new people into worship services. This will include working through the purposes for which the buildings were established and their interpretation of that in the maintenance of services today. 

RESOURCING  

• To work alongside churches in vacancy to remain focused on mission and to plan for appropriate future leadership, supporting the Bishop and Archdeacon in running vacancy and appointments processes. 
• To help parishes access the support available from the Diocese of London’s Ambition and Priority teams, noting in particular support for new incumbents
• Ambition teams: Confident Disciples, Compassionate Communities, Creative Growth (CCX) – and how they link with maintaining church services. 
• Priority teams: Growing Younger, Safer Churches, Racial Justice 
• To provide advice and support to enable successful church revitalisation including work with current and potential Resource Churches in discerning how their strengths and gifts can be best used in support of planting and other parish support and that new services will be established to serve those currently less well reached. 
• To develop prayer initiatives and resources to support mission in the Area. 
• To ensure the necessary provision of training for missional engagement and useful sources for theological reflection on mission.  

GENERAL

• In addition to an involvement in a parish the post holder is invited to active involvement in the life of the Archdeaconry and Area Deans in a cycle of church activity, training and engagement with clergy and lay leaders in the Area.

Main Purposes of Job and Key Tasks

We are seeking a highly organised and quick-witted Operations Officer to join our dynamic team at Spring Community Hub. The ideal candidate will have experience in operations or project management and excel at managing multiple priorities simultaneously. This role is crucial in supporting the day-to-day operations of the organisation and ensuring smooth workflows across various departments.

In addition to their primary operations duties, the Operations Officer will also play a key role in recruiting and managing volunteers, organising events, and assisting with fundraising activities. Trauma Treatment International (TTI) is a registered charity in the UK. We focus on providing evidence-based psychological treatment and support to victims of collective violence around the world. As well as providing treatment for victims directly, we work with organisations and communities to manage, mitigate and prevent the impact of trauma.

This is an exciting time for the charity, as we move into our next phase of development. We are now seeking a new Chief Executive Officer to lead us in the implementation of our Strategy 2025-2030 and our vision for change.

• Experience of financial compliance including demonstrable experience of actively setting and managing budgets, preparing cashflow projections and working with financial reports – this experience is likely to have been gained over at least 3 years’ active, first-hand participation.
• Prior experience of working in a growth environment, ideally having gained involvement in income generation/fundraising.
• Experience working with external funders, partners, and collaborators
• Demonstrate clear understanding of Charity Code and governance obligations including Charity Commission requirements and charity law.

Position: Programme Officer

The Programme Officer will work closely with both the project teams and the wider organisation to support the effective management and delivery of projects across from our London office.

Purpose

The Programme Officer will be responsible for supporting the effective implementation of project delivery activities across our portfolio, predominantly in Africa, Europe, Central Asia, and the Middle East. The post holder will support project delivery, ensuring quality expectations (internal and client), delivering within the scope and budgeted resources of projects, and in line with project timelines. They will work closely with other members of the programme delivery team, our technical team, delivery partners, and consultants to ensure projects maximise their positive impact and will also support the Senior Programme Manager to disseminate good management practice across the organisation, and advise on delivery approaches. 

Main Responsibilities

The responsibilities of the Programme Officer include the following:

1. Project Support

• Provide support to Programme Managers in the delivery of projects, ensuring projects are delivered on time, within budget and scope and comply with client contracts
• Take on the project management of assigned select projects within a determined budget/complexity threshold, ensuring that they are delivered to time and quality
• Set-up and monitor project workplans, including change requests ensuring that approvals are formally recorded and filed
• Manage day-to-day relationships with delivery partners and internal team(s) and build a solid understanding of delivery needs and timelines across projects
• Monitor and support timely client and consultant billing and invoices attached to delivery
• Support onboarding of consultants for new projects, including due diligence checks and contract preparation based on set templates
• Ensure project management software and tools are accurate and kept up to date for allocated projects
• Provide timely responses to client queries and alert the Senior Project Manager of any potential risks
• Lead duty of care and travel planning for staff and consultants, working alongside administrative officers

2. Project Financial Management

• Monitor project budget performance, capturing variances and liaising with the Finance Team and Senior Programme Manager
• Monitor and support the processing of consultants’ expenses/fees against contracts and client invoices against contracts.
• Make recommendations to ensure financial outcomes are met with respect to time, quality and cost, and provide early warning of project overspend
• Prepare internal project update reporting including finances and resourcing using required management tools.

3. Organisational Support and Business Development

• Provide support in strengthening policies, procedures, and management tools for Development Pathways
• Coordinate with wider project teams to ensure technical capacity is well planned across Development Pathways’ portfolio of projects
• Signpost colleagues to relevant project management tools and processes, when required
• Support project closure processes as required, capturing and sharing lessons internally
• Provide ad hoc input to evolving organisational requirements as directed by senior members
• Assist with the identification and monitoring of business opportunities in donor markets, as requested
• Update SharePoint and ensure project data sheets are developed and up to date to facilitate bids for tenders

• Ownership of the purchase ledger system, administering the entire process of invoice receiving, checking, coding, distributing for approval, posting to the accounts software (currently Sage), setting up domestic and international payments for authorisation, and electronic filing of documents.
• Administering all credit card returns including distribution of statements to colleagues, checking and coding returns, collating documents, submitting for line-manager approval, posting to Sage and following up on outstanding items.
• Administering staff and contractors expense claims, advances, returns and funds transfer requests, including checking and coding, submitting for budget-holder approval, arranging payment both domestic and international, and electronic filing of documents.
• Recording project expenditure against budget and drafting project financial returns to meet funder deadlines.

Essential criteria (full criteria listed in the application pack):

•  Either started on a financial qualification or have had experience in a similar role.
• Exposure to SAGE Line50 or other accounting package.
• Confident using Microsoft Outlook, Excel and Word.
• Previous experience of using accounting software.
• Good team working and relationship-building skills.

• Excellent attention to detail and commitment to accuracy.

AMMF is the UK’s only charity solely dedicated to raising awareness of and funding research into cholangiocarcinoma (bile duct cancer). The charity works closely throughout the UK with clinicians, healthcare professionals, researchers, policy makers, patients and their carers, as well as actively collaborating across Europe and globally.

The role of the Executive Administrator is to manage an administrative workload. The right person will have previous experience of efficient office administration, be able to provide secretarial and administrative support, and to work both independently and as part of a team, and will report directly to the CEO.

It is expected the Executive Administrator will develop an understanding of AMMF’s aims and objectives and its policies and procedures.

Responsibilities:

• Secretarial and administrative support: Dealing with correspondence in close collaboration with the CEO; preparation and distribution of papers for board meetings, minute taking and drafting.
• Managing AMMF’s network of clinical nurse specialists, including sending the charity’s booklets and information to them on request. 
• Developing and maintaining up-to-date appropriate inventories and records covering equipment leases, maintenance schedules, equipment allocations, suppliers, etc.
• Diary management and meeting organisation, internal and external, including booking meeting rooms.
• Keeping all records appropriately and in accordance with GDPR.
• Financial - supporting the CEO in the preparation of monthly/annual financial planning, and with other financial matters, as required
• Assisting in and attending the organisation of AMMF’s annual conference, and other events.
• Attending external AMMF networking, partner and fundraising events when required.
• Carrying out projects and/or tasks as required by the CEO.

Skills and attributes required

• Excellent communications skills, both verbal and written, with high standards of accuracy and clarity in written work.
• Highly IT literate, experienced and competent with Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, and PowerPoint, etc) and with Zoom and other online meeting platforms.
• Excellent secretarial and administrative skills, including previous experience taking and drafting minutes.
• Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to take initiative when necessary.
• Able to be flexible, to adapt to shifting priorities, and to prioritise.
•  Able to manage own workload to deadlines and achieve objectives set.
• Willingness to be proactive and, where necessary, lead on administrative and office matters.
• Able to handle confidential information and data protection issues

• To be sensitive to the areas of work AMMF is involved in.
• Previous experience of working within the charity sector.

• Willing and able to work outside usual office hours to support AMMF and attend external events where, when and if required.
• Hold a current driving licence and have access to /use of a vehicle (useful not essential).
• Possess or achieve a satisfactory Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check.
