We’re hiring a Centre Manager at Scout Adventures Youlbury in Oxfordshire – a live-in leadership role where you’ll manage an outdoor activity centre, lead a team of staff and volunteers, and deliver inspiring experiences for young people from across the UK and beyond.

Youlbury is part of Scout Adventures – a national network of outdoor activity centres that inspire and educate thousands of young people every year. As Centre Manager, you’ll lead the team that makes it all happen: from outdoor learning and adventure activities to catering, site safety, and customer service.

You’ll work closely with staff, volunteers, visitors, and partners to deliver exceptional experiences while ensuring smooth, safe, and financially responsible operations.

About the role

Crisis is the national charity for homeless people. We know that homelessness is not inevitable. We know that together we can end it.

Crisis at Christmas is our unique event, with centres across Britain offering people experiencing homeless food, clothing, advice and support with health, housing, employment and benefits, as well as a safe space to stay at an extremely challenging time of year.

Our Christmas Case Management Team work across the Crisis at Christmas services in London. We provide support to guests of Christmas experiencing homelessness and who lack support from other services. We continue this support into the year after Christmas and we take further referrals throughout the year from partner agencies.

We prioritise building meaningful relationships and work with people to identify what works for them. Our approach is developed from trauma informed, strengths-based and intensive case management approaches and we deliver this through an outreach-based service, working across the London boroughs.

About you

We are looking for an experienced, skilled and driven person to join the Case Management Team as a Case Manager. In this key role, you will support a caseload of people experiencing homelessness. You will ensure the accuracy of records and data, compile reports which evidence our impact, oversee financial systems and support the mapping of services across London reporting. The role also provides opportunity to supervise volunteers, collect feedback from members, and support the team manager with service development.

You will receive support with training, regular supervision, and professional development. Crisis is an innovative and multi-faceted organisation and there are many internal opportunities to get involved with as well. How are staff supported to work remotely?

Key Responsibilities

Strategic

We are seeking a compassionate and confident Project Manager to lead our InterAction project, delivering high-quality support to asylum seekers, refugees, and migrants across Tyne and Wear. This strategic and operational leadership role involves managing a small team, coordinating multi-agency partnerships, and ensuring the delivery of impactful casework, drop-in services, and targeted contracts focused on health access and social inclusion. 

The InterAction service provides practical and emotional support through weekly drop-ins in Newcastle, regional casework, and collaborative work with community organisations. You will oversee service planning, budgeting, and monitoring, while promoting integration, wellbeing, and empowerment for those navigating the asylum and resettlement process. 

You will work closely with the Head of Client Services and other Action Foundation teams to ensure joined-up delivery and continuous improvement. The Role

As Fundraising Manager, you’ll play a central role in helping Winning Scotland deliver sustainable growth by identifying and securing new income across trusts and foundations, corporate partnerships, statutory and government funding, and public sector contracts.

Working closely with programme leads and the senior leadership team, you’ll research, prioritise, and secure funding opportunities to support the charity’s ambitious growth plans over the next 2–3 years. You’ll also develop strong relationships with funders, write compelling funding applications, and provide excellent stewardship and reporting.

You’ll focus on growing income from institutional and corporate sources, while senior leaders continue to manage high-value individual donor relationships, allowing you to concentrate on developing strong pipelines and managing effective bids.

About You

You’ll be a skilled and motivated fundraiser with a solid understanding of the Scottish and wider UK funding landscape.

You’ll have:

• A proven track record of securing income from trusts, foundations, corporates and/or statutory sources
• Strong bid-writing and communication skills, with the ability to translate complex programme work into persuasive proposals
• Excellent relationship management and stewardship abilities
• The capacity to work independently, manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines

Ideally, you will also bring:

• Experience of strategic, high-value fundraising in a small or growing charity
• An understanding of issues affecting young people and youth-focused sectors
• Experience using design tools (e.g. Canva) to create professional proposals and reports

This is an opportunity to join Refuge as a Deputy Service Manager to support women and children who are impacted by domestic abuse and other forms of violence against women and girls.

The deputy manager will contribute to the management of the IDVA, Outreach and Helpline Single Point of Access community based services, in line with Refuge’s policies and procedures and quality management system.  This involves working within a multi-agency framework consisting of the MARAC and local partnership protocols and procedures that prioritise the safety of survivors.

The post holder will provide line management and support to staff. This will include providing supervision on complex casework issues such as child protection, overseeing operational emergencies and ensuring high standards of support.

Working closely with the services manager to ensure that contractual and other funding requirements are met fully and that Refuge’s high quality standards are maintained, the role may involve visiting potential sites and contributing to the establishment of new services in conjunction with the development team.

The job involves working closely with members of staff that support victims and survivors of domestic abuse using our services, which will include overseeing the delivery of groupwork and participating in multi-agency forums and multi-agency training delivery.

The deputy manager will act as an ambassador for Refuge, demonstrating Refuge values in their work.

As a member of the management team, the post holder will be required to participate in an out-of-hours management service.
