This is a brand-new role within our Income Generation Directorate, designed to lead the delivery of our in-memory fundraising programme and support the implementation of our new legacy strategy. You’ll play a key role in shaping how we engage with supporters who give in memory of loved ones and those considering leaving a gift in their will.

• Develop and deliver our in-memory fundraising strategy, including events and campaigns.

Role Overview:  

The Events Operations and Venues Manager is responsible for the day-to-day operational management of Events-run venues and the delivery of safe, efficient and high-quality event environments across multiple parks, community venues and outdoor event sites. Main Duties/Responsibilities:   

Team & workforce management 

• Line manage Duty Managers and oversee the wider casual workforce including Event Assistants, Security, Caretakers and Cleaners. 
• Lead Recruitment, onboarding and ongoing training of casual staff 
• Ensure appropriate staffing levels and skill mix across all events and venues taking responsibility for the rota system 
• Ensure effective coordination of rotas and cross-team event activity.  

 Venue Operations & Facilities Management 

• Lead the day-to-day operational management of all Events-run venues. 
• Ensure venues are compliant, safe, well-presented and fit for purpose. 
• Coordinate planned and reactive maintenance with central operations teams. 
• Oversee venue equipment procurement and asset management. 
• Manage venue contractors and oversea repair works in Event spaces. 
• Contribute to twice-yearly Council H&S audits. 

 On-Site Delivery 

• Support the Head of Events and Production Team in delivering Enable-Produced Events 
• Provide hands-on operational leadership during live events. 
• Deliver full event management of ad hoc or operationally complex events where required. 

 Health & Safety  

• Lead on Health & Safety across Events and Venues operations. 
• Own and continuously improve operational H&S frameworks, policies and safe systems of work. 
• Work alongside the Operations team to ensure venue Risk Assessments are robust and up to date and operationally effective for event spaces 
• Oversee contractor compliance including RAMS, insurance and method statements.

• Update and reconcile supplier costs and credit card logs.

• Assist with contractor invoice processing and ensure timely follow-up where required.

What the job involves

As part of our Customer Engagement and Experience team, you’ll play a key role in delivering an exceptional supporter experience, from ordering shop items and receiving fulfilment materials to ensuring Gift Aid contributions are processed accurately and securely.

This job share role combines operational ownership, relationship management and compliance oversight. You’ll be trusted to run essential day-to-day activity and improve the systems that sit behind them.

You’ll build and manage strong relationships with fulfilment suppliers, holding them accountable to KPIs and ensuring materials are delivered accurately and on time. You’ll also manage the day-to-day running of our online shop, including product development, stock forecasting, supplier coordination and performance monitoring.

You’ll keep fulfilment operations running efficiently by identifying improvements, resolving bottlenecks and making sure teams across the charity have what they need. Alongside this, you’ll take ownership of Gift Aid administration, ensuring claims are accurate, compliant with HMRC requirements and supported by clear audit trails.

By monitoring Gift Aid performance, you’ll analyse trends and recommend improvements, keeping internal teams informed and skilled in best practice. You’ll also support Fundraising teams with compliance checks, offering guidance and helping to resolve any issues quickly and effectively.

In addition, you’ll oversee monthly stock reconciliations and financial reporting for shop activity, ensuring accuracy and supporting informed decision-making. You’ll work closely with colleagues across digital, operations, marketing and customer experience to deliver a seamless, joined-up supporter journey.

This is a varied and meaningful role where your work directly improves how supporters experience Prostate Cancer UK.

• Significant experience in a legacy and/or In Memory fundraising role
• Experience of delivering fundraising activity in a local/regional environment

• Management of income and expenditure budgets

What we expect from you

Working alongside the Head of Operations, CEO and department heads, your responsibilities will cover Shift.ms and its wholly owned subsidiary, realworld ms ltd, as follows:

Financial management

• Be the primary point of contact for our Treasurer, Accountant and External Auditor;

• Review and constantly improve processes and internal controls for finance;

• Lead the development of annual budgets and shorter/longer term forecasts as needed;

• Manage accounting, budget and cash flow,  and working with the CEO, develop cost reduction strategies as needed;

• Prepare monthly management accounts incorporating variance analysis of budgets vs. actuals and headline narrative;

• Manage monthly payroll with an external payroll provider;

• Draft consolidated statutory accounts for audit and lead the coordination of year-end audit;

• Prepare quarterly VAT returns for the Group and be the main point of contact for HMRC;

• Make recommendations for corporate gift aid donations based on performance and future forecasts for the subsidiary;

• Present finance updates in-person at quarterly board meetings normally held in London;

• Manage and lead FinCom meetings, typically held quarterly;

• Attend the trustee annual away weekend.

Bookkeeping 

• Lead the financial operations of the charity including recording transactions onto the finance system (Quickbooks), managing cashflow, invoicing, accounts payable/receivable, processing of purchase invoices and supplier payments;

• Complete month end reconciliations as part of the preparation of monthly management accounts;

• Track, calculate and process intercompany recharges to ensure costs sit within the correct entity;

• Track and ensure correct treatment and reporting of restricted/unrestricted funds;

• Process employee, volunteer & trustee expense claims;

• Manage the relationship with an external payroll bureau, liaising with them to ensure payroll is processed accurately and paid on time;

• Support employee onboarding including obtaining details for payroll and pre employment checks.

Other 

• Collaborate with senior stakeholders on projects and reporting; 

• Track income receipts and projections for weekly income generation calls with heads of department;

• Process gift aid claims;

• Process incentive payments for realworld ms participants;

• Renew insurances.

Qualifications, skills and abilities (E= Essential D = Desirable)

• Be part or fully qualified with a professional accounting qualification ACCA, CIMA or ACA, with at least 2-3 years post qualification experience. (E)

• Employment history in a charity/3rd sector role (D)

• Good understanding of charity reporting requirements and Charity SORP (E) especially the technical application of income recognition requirements for the charity and its subsidiary

• Experience of VAT reporting (E) including an understanding of VAT recovery with respect to business and non business for charities, place of supply (overseas transactions)

About the role:

As Senior Project Manager, you will have responsibility for planning, delivering, and embedding two high-profile, business critical projects:

· Implementation of new housing management IT system

· Refurbishment of head office; and

· Supporting other corporate priority projects

You will work closely with internal teams, external partners, and senior leaders to ensure both projects are delivered to time, budget, scope, and quality, whilst providing regular progress reports to the Corporate Management Team (CMT), HRG Cttee and Board as required.

As the Senior Project Manager your duties will include:

· Developing project scope, deliverables, timelines and budgets in line with business objectives for two complex projects.

· Manage project governance, including risk, issues, dependencies and change control, acting as primary contact for queries.

· Build strong relationships across internal teams and external partners to ensure smooth delivery of both projects.

· Support change management activities including training, adoption and changes to current practice and procedure.

· Ensure compliance with CHS policies and procedures, including financial regulations, health and safety, data protection, IT and data security.

· Attendance at meetings with colleagues and other professionals as required.

About you

· Proven experience of managing large, complex projects simultaneously.

· Project management qualification (eg; PRINCE2) or equivalent project management software

· You will have a minimum 5 years’ experience in project management.

· You will have proven experience in project managing the implementation of complex IT systems and/or office refurbishment programmes from start to finish.

· You will have knowledge and understanding of Project management software and tools.

You will bring significant experience in UK financial reporting (FRS 102), alongside proven experience developing high-performing teams and implementing effective policies, systems, and change initiatives. With strong analytical and conceptual capability, you will translate complex financial data into clear, actionable insight. You will also have experience managing auditors, financial institutions, and external service providers, and be able to prioritise effectively, work autonomously, and deliver to deadlines.

Strong communication skills, sound judgement, and cultural sensitivity are essential in building effective relationships across diverse international contexts. Experience within a UK charity or multinational charitable context, including understanding of UK charity reporting (Charities SORP) would be highly desirable.

Key Purpose / WHY?

The Carers Services Manager will play a vital role in leading a team to assist unpaid carers to connect with their communities and access the support they need within Herefordshire. The role will support the Herefordshire team, who deliver the ‘what matters’ assessment to carers and provide bespoke, person-centered information, advice and guidance to people accessing our services. Support includes but is not limited to; one-to-one support, events and activities, as well as signposting and referring to relevant agencies for additional support helping people on their caring journey. The role will work alongside internal teams and external partners to create community connections, develop an outreach support program, linking people to community resources with a focus on preventing the need for escalation to statutory services.

Key accountabilities & responsibilities

1. Service Leadership and Delivery

· Oversee day to day delivery of our commissioned Information, Advice and Guidance service for unpaid Carers in Herefordshire

· Facilitate the application, review and distribution of small grants to unpaid carers across the region as required

· Monitor service quality and delivery and report monthly Key Performance Indicators and quarterly monitoring reports to Local Authority Commissioners. Ensure reporting demonstrates the scale, impact, and quality of our services.

· Meet with commissioners to review service performance quarterly

· Ensure the service is visible and accessible to carers from all communities

· Support carer self-identification and address barriers to engagement, including those faced by underrepresented groups of carers

· Help raise the profile and recognition of TuVida to assist with recruitment, service-user and partner engagement and financial sustainability by contributing to social media presence and the website

2. Service Development

· Work collaboratively with senior colleagues, identifying opportunities for sustainable growth, and working to execute commercial opportunities, including

supporting and/or leading on tendering,

· Bidding, and negotiating new business as well as business retention strategies and mobilisation of new business.

3. Team Management

· Lead and develop a team to deliver person-centered outcomes for unpaid carers across Herefordshire providing practical support and guidance as required
