Tree Equity Scores bring together multiple datasets, such as deprivation, heat, canopy cover and more, to provide a single figure that illustrates an area's need for urban trees. The Tree Equity for Hartlepool project marks the first town-wide approach in the UK to address low Tree Equity scores across an entire urban area. This multi-partner project, led by Trees for Cities, will work across planting, engagement and awareness raising of the urban forest. 

Working with Hartlepool Borough Council, Trees on Tees Community Forest, The Woodland Trust, Thirteen Group housing association and Treeconomics, this partnership brings together major local landowners alongside national tree specialists to deliver a programme of work over two years - and is seeking a Project Community Coordinator to drive the work forward.

ABOUT THE ROLE

As Project Community Coordinator, you will be responsible for bridging this flagship work to the community and connecting residents in Hartlepool with their urban forest. This will include leading engagement activities with residents across the town, aiming to inspire residents to plant, protect and promote urban trees. You will lead outreach and volunteer activities, working closely with project partners to coordinate and deliver tree planting and educational workshops, public tree planting events and other activities.

The role will involve a mix of office-based and outdoor work and requires a confident, well-organised and friendly individual who can both confidently lead workshops and act as a spokesperson for the charity and urban forestry with the local community. You will be responsible for building and maintaining strong relationships with volunteers, and this will be key to success, ensuring the project gets the results the community needs.

You will work under the steer of the Project Manager and be the face of both the project and Trees for Cities in the local and Tees Valley area.

As Trees for Cities looks ahead to its next strategic period, this project is a key flagship piece of work, and the role will be required to represent the partnership and associated work being done. In delivering a successful project, the case will be made for addressing low Tree Equity scores at the local and national level, influencing decision makers to best support urban forestry. 

This project is funded by the National Lottery Heritage Fund.

The role of Helpline Advisor

For several years, Guts UK have provided information, support and guidance to our community over the phone and by email. This year, we’re formalising that service into a professional Helpline and are looking for someone to join our small, talented support team.

During the initial 6-month trial period, the Helpline phone lines will be open Monday to Friday, 10am to 2pm, but this may expand or change later in the year. Queries could be received via phone, email or web-query form.

​As a member of the Helpline team, you will offer on demand information, support, guidance and signposting primarily to enquirers living with, or caring for those with, digestive conditions and symptoms. The support offered will include receiving calls, emails and web form queries from people who are looking for more information about their digestive condition, need to know where they can turn to for support, or are waiting on a diagnosis and need help navigating how to get there. You will provide appropriate information, guidance and signposting to our own information and other external support organisations. As a charity, Guts UK covers all digestive symptoms and conditions, across the whole of the UK, and so no two days will be the same and queries will be diverse and interesting.

The role holder will man the Helpline (alongside others from the team) from 10am to 2pm (with a 30-minute lunch break) and during that time will receive, respond to and appropriately log phone calls, web-queries and emails.

The Fundraising Executives provide support to the wider Fundraising team assisting with all aspects of fundraising activity. Three Fundraising Executives are managed by the Head of Fundraising and support fundraising activity across 11 segments of income generation.

The role provides an opportunity to gain a level of understanding and knowledge about each income stream and donor stewardship.

The Fundraising Executive is a varied role with involvement in each stage of fundraising activity, from research and planning to campaign or event delivery and then income processing and thanking of donors and supporters.

The successful candidate will be passionate about learning about fundraising and how we as a team raise the vital funds needed to provide Trinity’s care for future patients and their loved ones.

The post-holder will have the opportunity to develop Groundswell’s next fundraising strategy, working closely with the Senior Leadership Team (SLT), and particularly Finance & Fundraising Director who can bring a wealth of knowledge and insight from recent external and internal reviews of Groundswell’s fundraising portfolio. You will be a champion for the joined up working of fundraising and communications, with the ability to line manage a team and lead strategic plans to engage a range of current and potential donors (individuals, trusts, corporates) to diversify Groundswell’s income and ultimately help Groundswell continue to create positive change in the lives of people, services and systems on their mission to tackle homeless health inequalities.

About the Role

This is a fantastic opportunity to join Reprieve’s dynamic Development Team to secure vital funding to power our high-impact human rights work. Length and Salary

This is a full-time role, on a one-year fixed term contract, with the possibility to extend, subject to funding. The annual salary is £42,193 per annum, less any required deductions for income tax and national insurance. 

This role is based in Reprieve’s London office. Reprieve operates a hybrid working model and we require staff to work two days per week from the London office and the rest of the week from home. Applicants must have the current right to work in the UK, which will be checked prior to interview.

Your presence is important during core office hours, whether remotely or in the office. You will also be available outside of office hours in the event of an emergency, for example case developments that require urgent action. This is a role that may require travel and work outside of core office hours from time to time.

• Develop and maintain a prospect pipeline providing Trusts and Corporate fundraisers and the Major Donor programme with the required number and level of prospects to meet the team's objectives and financial targets by using different tools to support you, including gift table.

Linkable, an ambitious local charity is seeking a Head of Children's Services to directly lead on the delivery of our afterschool club, weekend and holiday playschemes for chlldren and young people with addtional needs.  The successful candidate will also oversee adult services. The role is offered on a 4 or 5 day per week basis.

LinkAble supports people with a learning disability and autistic people to create the life they want to live by providing opportunities that develop skills, confidence and lasting friendships. We operate from our accessible centre, The Link, in Woking, and within the community.

After a period of growth, we are forming a Senior Management Team (SMT) to guide our next phase of development. We are seeking a Head of Services (HoS) and a Head of Finance and Operations (HFO) to work alongside the CEO.

Overall Aim

We are looking for an exceptional individual to join our SMT as HoS. Working with the CEO and HFO, you will shape strategy, inspire positive change, and lead service delivery teams, fostering a culture of excellence and collaboration.

You will ensure services meet local authority contract targets, internal KPIs, and deliver outstanding outcomes for the people we support. You will drive continuous quality improvement and create fair, transparent processes that value and support staff.

About the Role

The HoS will lead on Children’s Services and oversee Adults’ Services, supported by an Adult Services Manager, CYP Services Co-ordinator and two Team Leaders. You will directly lead Children’s Services, including playschemes, social groups, teens sessions and afterschool clubs and oversee Adult Services.

Key priorities

Include building a skilled, motivated team of playworkers and sessional staff through training, coaching, and support. You will also oversee financial management of services with the HFO, ensuring sustainability and compliance with local authority contracts. You’ll gather data and feedback to evidence our impact and report on KPIs to the CEO and Trustees.

You will work with the Office Manager to embed our Health and Safety Framework and identify resources to enhance service user experiences.

We seek a caring, driven leader with experience managing teams in health, social care, or charity settings. You should have a strong track record in both strategic planning and hands-on service delivery.

This role will predominantly be working from our Day Centre but will also include work with night shelter clients.

Within the Day Centre you will be required to provide advice and advocacy and casework to people who are homeless and at risk of homelessness and maintain a caseload of clients working within a fast paced and dynamic small team. You will support the smooth running of the day centre provision and have a commitment to supporting vulnerable clients in a person-centred way. 

To be successful in this role will require a keen interest in homelessness and the devastating impact this can have on people. This role is suited to someone with a problem solving, positive attitude, who is passionate about supporting marginalised people.   

We are looking for an enthusiastic individual with a can-do attitude to join our Fundraising & Engagement Team and help raise vital funds for children with cancer. You don’t need previous fundraising experience—just strong organisational skills, creativity, a talent for building relationships, and a genuine passion for making a difference and raising money for charitable causes. 

In this varied role, you’ll support the planning and delivery of fundraising events, care for our amazing supporters, and assist with individual, community, and corporate fundraising activities. You’ll gain hands-on experience across multiple fundraising areas, playing a key role in ensuring the smooth delivery of the team’s work through excellent administrative and project support.

About the Role

As part-time Young People Support Worker you will work under the direction, guidance and support of a manager/senior worker you will be responsible for a caseload of clients as well as share responsibility for the safety and wellbeing of all clients, volunteers and staff in the service.

In accommodation based services you will ensure that the accommodation is properly maintained and support the client to sustain their tenancy and participate in positive and successful move on.

Where the client lives in the community you will ensure that their tenancy is not at risk and that they have the skills and resources to manage and maintain their accommodation.

Key responsibilities include:

· Ensure client safety, wellbeing, and adherence to safeguarding and emergency procedures.

· Deliver high-quality risk assessments, support plans, and one-to-one/group support to build client resilience.
