Lotus is seeking a skilled and compassionate Peer Support Coordinator to lead our thriving Lotus Blossom Project, which provides online peer support groups for women recovering from domestic abuse. These groups are co-facilitated by trained Peer Support Mentors – all of whom are ex-clients.

This role is at the heart of what we do: championing trauma-informed practice, investing in our volunteers, and supporting women to rebuild independence, purpose and fulfilment after abuse.

Hours: 15 hours per week
Salary: NJC Scale Points 18-22: £30,559-£32,654 FTE (£12,389-£13,238 pro rata for 15 hours/week). Starting salary: £30,559 FTE (£12,389 pro rata) for an unqualified IDVA (Point 18); £31,067 FTE (£12,595 pro rata) for a qualified IDVA (Point 19) pay award pending.

Location: Primarily home based with occasional in-person meetings or training in Newhaven or East Sussex
Contract: Permanent although as with all posts, reliant on ongoing funding

Job Purpose:

To lead the co-ordination, delivery and ongoing development of a safe, inclusive and empowering peer support group for women recovering from domestic abuse through the Lotus Blossom Project. This role ensures that support is:

• Trauma-informed and grounded in the six principles of trauma-informed practice: safety; trustworthiness and transparency; peer support; collaboration and mutuality; empowerment, voice and choice; and cultural, historical and gender awareness.
• Informed by the Investing in Volunteers quality standards.
• Delivered through a team of trained volunteer Peer Support Mentors, all of whom are ex-clients.

Key responsibilities:

• Lead the Lotus Blossom Project, ensuring it’s trauma-informed, inclusive and responsive to client and volunteer needs.
• Recruit, train, support and supervise a team of Peer Support Mentors with lived experience.
• Co-produce themed peer sessions and use your IDVA expertise to guide safe, engaging group facilitation.
• Monitor, evaluate and evolve the project using client and volunteer feedback, and report on its impact.
• Act as an ambassador for Lotus and support wider organisational goals.

You’ll bring:

• IDVA qualification (or willingness to obtain one with support)
• Experience supporting victim-survivors of domestic abuse
• Understanding of trauma-informed approaches and barriers faced by marginalised groups
• Skills in leadership, reflective practice, safeguarding, and data/confidentiality management
• A deep commitment to inclusion, empowerment and collaborative working

PURPOSE OF THE ROLE

To support the Area Manager / Operations Director in ensuring the Charity’s development and growth in ways that are relevant and in line with operational services and charitable objectives.

To ensure the Charity achieves its aims and objectives and fulfils its operational plan effectively by providing high quality intervention, providing person centred support for at-risk young people.

To have key responsibilities in reducing risk and delivery of our Shaping Futures Intervention this is our Short-Term Intervention Programme (STIP) in Buckinghamshire.

This project is funded for the next 18 months, we will be working closely with partners to extend this funding agreement.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Coordinate onboarding of young people, including the initial assessment, and developing 12 individualised sessions bespoke to each young person.
• Ensure a 12-week programme is written and sent to the young person with agreed outcomes after initial meeting.
• Responsible for a case load of young people up to 20 young people at any one time.
• Lead sessions and activities with appropriate resources to empower young people to make more positive choices to reduce violent behaviours, reduce risk of exploitation and other offending behaviours.
• Support the multi-agency network for the young people you are working with. Report any safeguarding concerns to the DSL, with support from your line manager.
• Work in partnership with the Operations team to develop opportunities in line with the intervention if needed.
• Attend stakeholder meetings where needed.
• Uphold Caudwell Youth’s values
• Effectively report to your line manager complaints and compliments relating to the programme
• Build knowledge of local strategies, linking in with network forums.
• Develop relationships and partnerships with local employers, benefit agencies, training establishments to enable opportunities for young people.
• Monitor targets and ensure programme objectives are met.
• Collect outcomes data with tools provided by Caudwell Youth.
• Embed engagement strategy with the young people in your area.
• Coordinate a safe exit of young people effectively, signposting to Caudwell Youth’s mentoring service (if appropriate) or externally.

• Be an ambassador for Caudwell Youth in the geographical area you are leading.

• With support from your line manager, ensure the delivery, development of services, community-based activities, and development opportunities are in line with regulatory requirements, our own policies, including safeguarding, social media, health & safety and data protection.
• Develop services and activities and opportunities for inclusion, community engagement and personal development for young people as agreed with your line manager.
• Ensure appropriate planning, risk assessment and evaluation for all activities relating to your area of responsibility is completed, with support from your line manager where appropriate.
• In collaboration with the Operations team, support activities for the needs of the young people across the charity’s wider geographies.

Administration:

• Maintain an excellent standard of administration, record keeping and reporting of all work undertaken in line with data protection and Caudwell Youth’s policies and procedures.
• Monitor all activities for your area against targets and objectives.
• Undertake proactive activities in line with our policies and good practice.

Partnership and Liaison:

• Work closely with the team and the stakeholder steering group to promote good communication and shared focus.
• Ensure effective, relevant and appropriate communication at all times.
• Represent the Charity to other organisations, funders and supporters.
• Establish and develop good relationships with other charities and agencies to increase partnership and effective joint working where appropriate.
• Be a point of contact for referrers and external contacts as regards to activities and service provision.
• Maintain strong working partnership with Thames Valley Police and Buckinghamshire Council to deliver the Shaping Futures Programme.

Job description

Job Purpose

To manage and develop the home from hospital settle service in the hospitals that you are responsible for, to support timely and successful patient discharges from hospital and prevent re-admissions.  You will work in collaboration with hospital teams and community teams to lead and manage your team to support the smooth transition from hospital to home for service users.  The service works with people for time limited support (usually up to 6 weeks) to adjust and settle back in their homes, and to prevent readmission into hospital. 

Key Tasks

• Work in partnership with the hospitals and other health and social care professionals to coordinate safe and timely discharges for referred clients.  This involves attending meetings with hospital personnel including Discharge Co-ordinators and Ward Managers to discuss discharges and plan who and how individuals will be supported as appropriate. 
• Manage a team working across two hospitals and ensuring the service is available between the contracted hours.
• Work collaboratively with other agencies providing support services.
• Conduct initial assessments of people referred to the services as necessary.
• Plan and develop person centred interventions to provide short term support for people after hospital discharge.
• Work with GPs as appropriate in identifying and supporting patients to reduce unnecessary hospital admissions.
• Work with people with a range of needs, dealing with issues ranging from social isolation and keeping people engaged in their community, to preventing unnecessary admission to hospital.
• Support the hospitals with delayed transfer of care (DTOC).
• Coordinate and monitor the caseload of referrals allocated to team members to ensure a fair and manageable distribution of work.
• Rota planning to ensure staff flexibility and availability, enabling planned rosters that best suit both hospital and patient needs.
• Develop your team which includes; supervision, appraisal, planning of continued professional development opportunities and training needs.
• Conduct regular management audits to ensure a consistent way of working and identify development and training needs in the team or individual.
• Develop and deliver a flexible service that can respond to peaks and troughs in demand.
• Ensure the service is meeting key performance indicators, and identify any concerns e.g. demand for the service exceeding the levels in the contract and taking proactive action to address this.
• Monitor performance of the services against KPIs and produce reports to demonstrate performance.
• Deliver front-line services when needed, e.g. sickness or staff shortages.  This is by exception rather than you regularly doing support work.
• Manage the budget, sign-off expenses, and ensure the project is delivered to budget, liaising with the Finance Department as necessary.
• Support the directorate with generating funding e.g. being actively involved in consultation of possible projects, providing activity data, opportunity spotting, and/or supporting the production of tenders.
• Occasionally provide weekend on call cover for the services you manage, and other hospital settle services provided by AUKEL.

Administration

• Lead on contract reporting, this includes quarterly annual and ad hoc reports
• Carry out annual customer service surveys.
• Maintain electronic records of referrals and interventions to assess service impact, support local improvements, and report on KPIs
• Meet and produce reports as required by the Head of Service.
• Ensure patient records are regularly updated through AUKEL database, and support staff to complete their administration via training etc.
• Work with the Communications team and the Head of Service, market and promote the service.
• Build and circulate a resource pack for the wider AUKEL team to generate referrals between services delivered by the charity.

 Quality

• Be familiar with and implement AUKEL policies and procedures.
• Ensure the service is delivered in accordance with Care Quality Commission principles.
• Ensure a cycle of continuous improvement by taking a “lessons learnt” review approach.
• Ensure that the requirements of the contract specification for the services are met.
• Ensure integration with other AUKEL projects, and service users are referred/sign-posted to appropriate support services available to them.
• Respond to safeguarding or other concerns and take appropriate reporting and management action.
• Lead on recruitment of staff for your team, and support others at AUKEL.

 Liaison

• Represent AUKEL and participate in appropriate external meetings and events and remain aware of local, regional and national issues affecting AUKEL clients.

Job summary

The Royal Society of Tropical Medicine and Hygiene (RSTMH) is a charity that supports members who work in, or are interested in, tropical medicine and global health.

In September 2028 it is hosting the International Congress for Tropical Medicine and Malaria (ICTMM) on behalf of the International Federation for Tropical Medicine (IFTM), in Liverpool, UK.

ICTMM 2028 expects to receive over 1,500 attendees, hopefully with over 40% coming from outside of Europe. It is an educational meeting with a high proportion of the content driven by abstracts. The event is being delivered by RSTMH with the support of a Professional Conference Organiser (PCO).

The ICTMM Events Manager has responsibility for coordinating the development and delivery of ICTMM 2028 at RSTMH, working with the RSTMH team, the PCO, the event venue ACC Liverpool, IFTM, and other suppliers.  The individual would be based at RSTMH where the role would start on a part-time basis and move to be full-time 17 months before the event.

The role requires an able self-starter who understand the logistics and considerations of running a scientific, abstract-driven event of 1,500+ attendees, of working with a PCO and of educational events attended by a high number of international guests.  There will be some travel to Liverpool and the role would require some overnight stays there before and during the event.

The candidate needs to have excellent event management and project management skills, communication and relationship building skills, and to be organised and flexible with a great attention to detail.  They should be as comfortable developing an events strategy, as answering queries about tickets sales, and negotiating sponsorship. Alongside delivering the ICTMM meeting there are opportunities for partners to deliver events at the same venue, which are also the responsibility of the events manager.

The role will start as one day per week and then move to be full time as we approach the event. The current expected timings are

• Up until 31 March 2026 – 7 hours/1 day per week
• 1 April 2026 to 31 March 2027 – 21 hours/3 days per week
• 1 April 2027 to 30 September 2028 – 35 hours/ 5 days per week

Up to 1 April 2027 the role is purely office based, and there is flexibility to work the hours between Tuesday and Friday (not Mondays). The role has core hours of 10am-4pm so the working day needs to be within these hours.

The role may require work in the evenings or weekends and potential time staying in Liverpool.

Main responsibilities

• Develop a comprehensive project plan for all aspects of ICTMM 2028, working with the PCO, and be responsible for ensuring all stakeholders meet deadlines leading up to the event

 To deputise for IMC UK Director of Finance and work closely with budget holders and counterparts in Split and LA to provide 'real time' support and analysis, that will assist budget holders and IMC UK in decision-making.

Manage the day to day financial activities of International Medical Corps UK with specific focus on financial management, budgeting and corporate financial planning, and ensuring that the finance team is achieving expected deliverables timely and accurately. 

MAIN TASKS AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Financial Planning

1. Active participation in drafting IMC UK annual budget for board of Trustees approval.

2. Monthly Updates of Rolling Forecast of IMC UK corporate costs. As the responsible finance officer train and regularly collaborate with Budget Managers to ensure that corporate forecasts are accurate, relevant and reliable by ensuring that; b), to confirm that:

2.1.  Staff cost projections – work in collaboration with HR team to ensure that IMC UK staff projections include  hire plans, transfer plans, allocation plans, field deployment, terminations, promotions etc.

2.2 HQ Non Labour Cost Projections – monthly review and cost projections should be updated to reflect IMC UK’s latest plans; For example, Travel budgets should be updated if no travel has taken place during the month and not likely to happen in next 2 months. Professional fees - are there valid consultancy agreements in place or is it still in the pipeline and the lag should be built into.

2.3. Provide SFD with latest IMC UK corporate expenditure position with the following details:

 - Movement on IMC UK costs vs IMC costs

 - Breakdown of fixed costs vs variable costs under IMC UK pipeline

 - New positions projected and salary costs allocations;

 - Service fee analysis by departments and seek explanations on movements from HQ teams of IMC UK affiliates;

 - Work with SFD to ensure IMC UK SMT approval on service fees is obtained;

Financial Control

3. Bookkeeping. Ensure that accounts payable, accounts receivable, bank & general ledger modules are maintained timely & accurately. Ensure that the following are available on file:

3.1. Monthly reconciliation of  payroll data,

3.2. Reconciliation of other control accounts including payroll, accruals, prepayment;

4. Internal Control & Regulations.  Ensure that all relevant procedures are maintained in relation  to a) Procurement process, b) Financial procedures & approvals, c) Sanctions checks d) HMRC Tax - Payroll, Dispensation & VAT tax issues and e) Pensions are adhered to.

4.1. Finance manager shall prepare, plan and deliver training to all relevant staff members on IMC UK's financial,  approval  and allocation processes.

4.2. Maintain an exceptions register with incidences where the proper procedures have not been observed.

5. Banking & Cash Projections. To monitor and update the Finance Director on

5.1 IMC UK banking and sanctions compliance requirements are updated and adhered to;

5.2 IMC UK Cash requirements projections are updated on a monthly basis on the last day of the month;

5.3 intercompany settlements are reviewed and undertaken on a timely manner

5.4  Summary of bank charges by IMC UK bankers are monitored  on a regular basis;

6. FOREX.

6.1.  Work with finance team to ensure that funds in other currencies are transferred into IMC UK functional currency – USD on an urgent basis. 

6.2 liaise with IMC UK bankers to offer effective solutions for transfers to sanctioned countries;

7. Payroll. 

7.1 Staff Cost projections.  Proactively work with HR, to provide input on cost implications for new hires; and update IMC UK’s financial projections systems with cost projections on all changes including  salary changes, increment implementation, benefits and deductions, vacation leaves pay, off-boarding of employees, and pension management.

7.2.  Posting monthly payroll costs to the ledgers.

7.3. Regular monthly payroll reconciliation with differences shared with SFD.

8. Pensions.  –

8.1 Effectively manage IMC UK Pensions Plan contributions in collaboration with HR. 

8.2 Ensure  appropriate and timely pensions contributions are made to pension provider. 

9. Public Donations – with collaboration with the Fundraising team, ensure accurate classifications and coding of restricted & unrestricted funds received;  For new appeals request for finance codes from IMC Finance team.

Financial Reporting

10. Monthly SMT report.  Produce by set date with analysis on income projections, expenditure projections, corporate cost breakdown, donor payments receivables, donor disallowed costs, intercompany balances and variance analysis and clarifications from relevant teams.  The following reports are reviewed to prepare the monthly reports:

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

• A recognized Accountancy qualification and/or related degree including a detailed technical knowledge of UK Financial legislation.

• Experience managing all aspects of financial statements from month end close to preparing financial statements / annual accounts and presentations for boards in a corporate headquarters environment

• Experience of working in the non-governmental sector at HQ level a plus Proven ability to lead, manage, motivate and develop a team; 

• Experience of working in a similar multi- HQ set-up an advantage.

• Ability to actively influence day to day decisions, shaping strategy and the direction of the business

• Ability to demonstrate initiative, be proactive and offer a solution-oriented approach

• Self-motivated, positive attitude, flexible and adaptable to the needs of team and organisations

• Proven track record of change management and influencing the organization

• Ability and willingness to undertake routine administrative tasks

• Ability to develop effective working relationships at all levels internally and externally

• Excellent attention to detail and ability to meet deadlines using multiple accounting software platforms

• Strong analytical skills and a commercial outlook

• Ability to prioritise work, meet deadlines and work calmly under pressure

• Accounting for payroll and pensions experience

• Ability to travel on business trip if required

Regional Youth and Community Director
OASIS UK – Youth and Community (OCP)

Permanent, full-time post, 40 hours per week, inclusive of breaks 

Salary: £51,959 per annum (£54,669 p.a. London Weighting for London based staff)

At an exciting and key stage in our journey we have the opportunity for Youth and Community Directors to join our team supporting Oasis’ youth and community work in neighbourhoods in the following regions;

- London and South East (North, Central and South London and Kent - five local Oasis charities)

- North West (Greater Manchester – two local charities, and two regionwide youth violence contracts)

- North East (NE Lincs, Humber, Bradford and Sheffield – four local charities)

With accountability to the Oasis CEO for Youth and Community the role of the regional Youth and Community Director will have three main functions:

1 Strategic management oversight of local Youth and Community teams

2 Regional development, working alongside other functions within the Oasis family

3 Being part of the national Youth and Community leadership team

The Youth and Community Director will have strategic management oversight of local Youth and Community teams in the region, providing accountability and support to the local leaders and charity boards. This responsibility area falls into two categories; those the Director is directly responsible for, and those they are responsible for ensuring are carried out by those within their region.

The Youth and Community function of Oasis is responsible for the wider community work that takes place within Oasis neighbourhoods, working closely with the other functions of Oasis to outwork our vision. In relation to governance, Oasis Community Partnerships is the national charity, with each local team operating from their own local Oasis charity.
