We are seeking a strategic and detail-oriented Head of Finance and Resources to lead our financial and operational functions and play a key role in supporting the charity’s mission and long-term sustainability.

As a member of the Senior Management Team (SMT), you will oversee finance and facilities, ensuring robust financial management, compliance, and operational efficiency.

You’ll work closely with the CEO, Treasurer, and Trustee Board to deliver accurate reporting, strategic budgeting, and effective resource planning.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead the day-to-day financial operations, including accounting, payroll, pensions, and reconciliations.
• Produce monthly management accounts and prepare annual financial statements in line with audit requirements.
• Manage the annual audit process and liaise with external auditors.
• Collaborate with the CEO and Treasurer to develop and monitor budgets and forecasts.

• Qualified accountant (e.g. ACA, ACCA, CIMA) with experience in charity finance.
• Proven track record in financial reporting, audit preparation, and budget management.

• Experience managing staff and working collaboratively across teams.

Immigration Caseworker/Solicitor

The post-holder will provide advice and casework in the category of immigration, nationality and asylum law. About the role

A new and exciting opportunity to work with us supporting the developments of active travel and liveable spaces for communities across the West Midlands. 

As the Project Officer you will lead and support behaviour change projects across the West Midlands and Staffordshire with schools, workplaces, job seekers and communities. Engaging with a range of key individuals and delivering walking and cycling activities such as Dr Bike sessions, led walks and rides, school assemblies and community workshops. 

As part of the Active Journeys Team, you will support people to walk, wheel and cycle by promoting opportunities and help overcome barriers to active travel. Projects will include improved walking and cycling infrastructure and making it possible for every child to walk, wheel and cycle to school. 

Activities will be delivered both Online and face to face, and likely to include schools, workplaces and the diverse range of communities in the Midlands. 

This role will require travel and work at locations as necessary to undertake projects on behalf of Sustrans.

You should have experience of leading physical activity or other behaviour change projects within schools, workplaces or communities. You should also have experience of working on projects within an established project management framework.  

You will have excellent organisational skills, including the ability to prioritise and manage own workload. You will be able to build and maintain strong relationships and a flexible and enthusiastic approach. With the ability to engage and support lesser heard voices in the community.

The Senior Finance Officer role is key to coordinating the day-to-day financial functions of Watts Gallery Trust and supporting the Head of Finance and Resources in the effective and efficient management of Watts Gallery Trusts finances. We are looking for someone with experience of working in a finance function delivering comprehensive financial management, ideally within a charitable organisation. Duties include:

Financial management

·Deliver an effective and comprehensive financial management service to watts Gallery Limited to include:

o Assisting the Head of Finance in preparing financial forecasts to support financial planning

o Assisting Head of Finance in implementing financial policies and procedures as appropriate

o Ensuring the efficient maintenance of the financial records of Watts Gallery and Watts Gallery Trading Ltd.

o Responsible for preparing quarterly VAT returns

o Coordinate Gift Aid reclaims

Staff management

Scope of Work

1. Financial Data Entry & Reconciliation

• Enter and reconcile day-to-day financial transactions in the accounting system, including expenses, transfers, payments, and receipts.

• Ensure all entries are accurately coded to the appropriate cost centres, grants, or funding streams.

• Review and reconcile staff expense claims, payment vouchers, and supporting documentation.

2. Budgeting & Grant Allocations

• Support the allocation of expenditure to budget lines across multiple funding sources, ensuring compliance with donor requirements.

• Maintain the habit to monitor actual spend against budgets using existing systems (Netsuite), highlighting any anomalies or risks.

• Assist in the preparation of internal budget summaries and financial snapshots for program and leadership teams.

3. Financial Reporting

• Assist in compiling donor financial reports by collecting, reviewing, and formatting financial data in line with donor requirements.

• Liaise with grants and programme teams to ensure alignment between financial and narrative reports.

• Maintain up-to-date and audit-ready documentation to support all reporting outputs.

4. Managing Fiscal Sponsorship Financial Reports

• Ensuring that income from fiscal sponsorship partners are accurately recorded

• Preparing regular income and expenditure reports for fiscal sponsorship partners and addressing reconciling items. 

• Represent the Finance team in update meetings with potential  or current fiscal partners.

5. Audit & Compliance Support

• Organise financial documentation and support sampling processes during internal and external audits.

• Maintain orderly and accessible digital and physical filing systems for all financial records.

• Support implementation of financial policies, templates, and compliance checks, working closely with the Head of Finance.

University of the Arts London (UAL) is looking to appoint an exceptional individual to be their new Head of Prospect Development and Operations. Ranked number two in the world for Art & Design by the QS World Rankings, UAL is the biggest provider of creative education in Europe and is proud to be an influential global leader, where creativity and innovation flourish. The new Head of Prospect Development and Operations (PDO) will sit on the Development and Alumni Relations Management Team, using prospect research to systematically drive success in the University’s fundraising activity. The role supports all philanthropic and alumni engagement activity across the department.  They will lead a team of two, directing prospect research for maximum strategic benefit and identifying novel ways of approaching potential prospects. The new Head of PDO will also lead the department’s database operations (CRM Raiser’s Edge NXT), turning vital data into useful information, including specialist financial reports. They will improve usage of the database, manipulating it and customising it to a high level. The post-holder will have the opportunity to make a transformative difference to UAL’s development infrastructure, in advance of the University’s upcoming fundraising campaign.

UAL is looking for an excellent team leader with a strong track record in prospect development and senior-level data management. They will be technically competent and ideally an experienced user of the RE NXT database. Strong candidates will bring their ideas and experience to bear to enhance systems and processes. They should ideally be familiar with Higher Education or creative environments, as well as be aligned with the social purpose of UAL. This is an outstanding opportunity to play a pivotal role in attracting the funding that will enable UAL to generate and inspire the creativity the world needs for a better future.  

Please note the salary band for this role is £37,700.00 to £40, 599.00 depending on experience and will be for full time hours.

Purpose

The Philanthropy Leads, reporting to the Head of Philanthropy, are responsible for inspiring new prospective, cultivating and stewarding high-value donors into greater involvement with Christians Against Poverty. They aim to draw supporters closer to the work we do, deepening their relationship and support of CAP. Income from CAP¿s major donors is vital for the future expansion of CAP in the UK.

Each Philanthropy Lead may be allocated one or more area of Philanthropy engagement in order to specialise in, but will be expected to support in any area as required. Such areas include:

Along with seeking direct support for the organisation Christians Against Poverty, there is also an expectation for the postholders to support the raising of funds for the wider movement, particularly for local Church frontline partners.

They themselves will be an experienced and confident relationship builder, communicator and fundraiser, cultivating relationships with high-value donors and partners to achieve ambitious targets.

Responsibilities

• Strategic Implementation & Fundraising 
• Implementation of a strategic plan to significantly increase major donor income, with a target of 17.5% of overall revenue within 3 years.
• Implement a comprehensive fundraising strategy for major donor income, aligned with CAP's overall strategic priorities.
• Execution of market research and competitor analysis to identify new funding opportunities and best practice in Philanthropic fundraising.
• Build strong relationships with key internal stakeholders, in order to identify points of engagement and draft appropriate funding bids.
• Represent CAP at high-level events and conferences to build relationships with potential donors and partners.

Major Donor Development

• Manage a designated caseload of high-net-worth individuals or trusts, cultivating deep and meaningful relationships.
• Conduct face-to-face meetings, personalised communications, and bespoke stewardship plans to cultivate and steward major donors.
• Develop compelling restricted funding projects to attract major donor investment.
• Implement a donor recognition program to acknowledge and celebrate major donor support.

Philanthropy Team Membership

• A member of the Philanthropy Team of our Mission and Movement Directorate.
• Providing peer support and development with other members of the Philanthropy Team, fostering a high-performing and collaborative environment.
• Work with the Head of Philanthropy to set ambitious targets and KPIs for the postholder, ensuring they are aligned with overall fundraising goals.
• Ensure the timely submission of funding applications and effective stewardship of grant and donor relationships.
• Implement robust systems and processes for donor relationship management, data analysis, and performance tracking.

Impact & Reporting 

• Ensure that the CRM is updated with engagements, proposal submissions and engagement plans in a timely fashion.
• Develop compelling narratives and impact reports that effectively communicate the impact of major donor support.
• Track and analyse key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure the effectiveness of fundraising efforts and identify areas for improvement.
• Provide regular updates on fundraising progress to the Head of Philanthropy.

Innovation & Best Practices 

• Stay abreast of current trends and best practices in major donor fundraising.
• Implement innovative fundraising strategies, such as engaging new philanthropists, digital engagement, corporate engagement and high-impact events.
• Evaluate philanthropy activities with the rest of the team and the Fundraising Insight & Innovation team to develop a deeper understanding of supporters and identify new prospects, making data-informed decisions.
• Champion a culture of continuous learning and improvement within the Philanthropy Team.
• Create opportunities for supporters to engage at a senior level and deepen their relationship with CAP, working with the CEO and other senior staff.

Communications & Campaign Management: 

• Plan philanthropy initiatives that in order to produce excellent bids, proposals, events, and reports, delivered on time and within budget.
• Coordinate with the Brand and Digital Engagement teams to align messaging and campaigns.
• Ensure philanthropy plans align with brand guidelines and fundraising regulations.

Measurable Outputs:

• Implementation of an annual philanthropy plan that contributes to the wider long-term fundraising strategy.
• Deliver assigned agreed annual income targets for philanthropy which may include:
• Major Donor income
• Trusts & foundations income
• Corporate income
• Deliver key philanthropy targets including:
• Number of major donor prospects engaged and converted to a managed relationship

Skills required

• A proven fundraiser who can inspire, influence and deliver results
• Strong negotiation and influencing skills, particularly in securing philanthropic support and building partnerships
• Excellent interpersonal skills to build strong and collaborative relationships with internal and external stakeholders
• Excellent and passionate written and verbal communication skills
• Highly organised and able to manage competing priorities
• Strong financial literacy, including experience managing budgets, tracking performance and forecasting income
• Able to analyse complex situations, identify challenges, and make sound, data-driven decisions
• A high level of emotional intelligence 

Essential:

• Proven track record of success in securing significant major gifts (5-6 figures) from high-net-worth individuals.
• Minimum 3 years of experience in high-value fundraising.
• Demonstrated ability to build and maintain strong, long-term relationships with high-net-worth individuals.
• Exceptional interpersonal, communication, and presentation skills.
• Strong strategic planning, analytical, and problem-solving skills
• Strong understanding of fundraising best practices and regulatory requirements.

Desirable:

• Experience of managing budgets for projects and campaigns.
• Knowledge of fundraising databases and CRM systems and Salesforce in particular.

Educational requirements

Essential: 

• HND level or equivalent experience of critical thinking

 Desirable:

• A relevant qualification in fundraising/marketing or equivalent in a relevant discipline (communications, sales).

This is a brand new role and would suit someone who has excelled in a similar role and can play a big role in defining and shaping the donor engagement strategy. It has been created to support the new fundraising strategy objective to retain over 10k regular donors and to drive deeper engagement with over 30k supporters. The postholder will have an opportunity to make a significant contribution to the Fund’s long-term income. You will work as part of the Individual Giving team and maximise supporter engagement through both offline and digital activity. The postholder will take the lead on scoping, proposing and implementing multi-channel stewardship campaigns with the right message to the right people at the right time.

You will have proven experience in managing supporter stewardship campaigns across a broad number of channels as well as setting and managing budgets and meeting KPIs. With experience of fundraising databases, creating supporter journeys and briefing and working with external agencies. You will also have excellent communication and interpersonal skills and show initiative, flair and enthusiasm for the work of the Fund.

The role will be office based at our London HQ, with a minimum of three days working in the office per week. The successful candidate for this role will need to prove they have the right to work in the UK.
