• Have previous experience in relationship management and income generation - ideally within a legacy and/or in memory setting, and able to lead and inspire our supporters in order to generate long term income and awareness for the charity

• Have excellent communication and relationship building skills - be friendly, compassionate, inspiring and engaging

About the Role

As Finance Business Partner, you’ll play a vital role in helping teams across the Academy make sound financial decisions. Sitting within the Finance team, you'll work closely with programme managers and budget holders to support budgeting, forecasting, variance analysis and strategic financial planning. Your insights and challenge will help ensure strong financial management across all projects and functions.

This is a high-visibility role, perfect for someone who enjoys combining technical excellence with business partnering and stakeholder engagement.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the annual budgeting and quarterly forecasting process, producing templates, analysing submissions, and reconciling across departments.
• Work closely with the Head of Finance to prepare the overall Academy budget and multi-year financial models.
• Maintain accurate financial records and ensure budgets are uploaded correctly into the finance system.
• Act as a strategic partner and ‘critical friend’ to non-finance stakeholders—providing analysis, advice, and challenge to support effective decision-making.
• Oversee financial compliance on externally funded projects, including grants and contracts.
• Provide regular financial reporting, including management accounts, and assist with risk and scenario planning.

What We’re Looking For

• Qualified accountant (e.g. ACA, ACCA, CIMA)
• Solid experience in finance business partnering, budgeting, forecasting and financial planning.
• Excellent interpersonal skills—confident working with stakeholders at all levels and able to influence without authority.
• A proactive, solutions-focused mindset with strong analytical skills.
• Experience working in or with mission-led or complex organisations is desirable, but not essential.

The Young People’s Volunteer Coordinator is an exciting new post at Barnsley CVS funded through Great Childhood Ambitions (GCA). The five strategic priorities for GCA are: Belong / Explore / Dream / Grow / Connect.

The under Youth Volunteer Programme will support these priorities by working with young people to:

· belong in their communities,

· explore volunteer opportunities,

· dream about their futures and be work ready,

Your role will be key to enabling this to happen.  You will act as the key connector between young people and charities.  This will involve working with opportunities that already exist, as well as encouraging, mentoring and training charities to provide tailored volunteering for young people.  You will also provide 1-1 support to young people already actively looking together with reaching out to communities such as children in care, UASC’s, those with SEND needs and communities who may not naturally consider volunteering.  Volunteering gives young people a chance to learn new skills, enhance their CV, learn about the workplace, meet new people, improve their confidence and expand their horizon. Some young people may naturally consider this, whereas others, may not have this opportunity presented to them. You will be responsible for the coordination of these areas of fundraising across multiple channels, as well as the administration and stewardship required to ensure engaging supporter journeys.

The successful candidate is likely to bring a strong understanding of how we can recruit and retain supporters as well the latest digital trends and demonstrate creative and technical skills to deliver a digital fundraising strategy. You will be able to demonstrate a strong track record of boosting individual giving for small organisations, write compelling communications and have a particular flair for digital fundraising. You will collaborate with the team to optimise lifetime value from potential and current supporters. Labour Behind the Label (LBL) supports garment workers' efforts worldwide to improve their working conditions, wages, and ensure their basic rights are respected. We do this through lobbying retailers, brands and political leaders; raising public awareness; promoting campaign action; and exploring legal possibilities for improving conditions.

Fundraising

• Develop and implement LBL’s individual giving fundraising strategy (including one off, cash appeals and regular giving)

The Hospice has invested in digital development. The Director of Media and Digital income oversees income to the value of £400k with a trajectory for growth. This includes all appeals, promotion of established products like legacy giving and matched funding programmes. The legacy pipeline was redesigned in 2024 with an award winning film “I will 1%” inspired by the work of Richard Ratcliffe. The Hospice is one of over 100 Hospices working with Hospice UK to promote legacy funding at a national and local level with a combined campaign. Investment for the future means The Hospice has a centrally managed people and systems team, this includes management of our CRM (Donify), enabling the Executive Team report on KPIs with internally triangulated data for better decision-making. The Hospice is also working with Finegreen to recruit an interim Head of Philanthropy to review the approach to philanthropy to date and make clear recommendations. A third party will deliver market research to update intelligence on current and potential markets for supporters. With innovation at its core, The Hospice has embedded ‘everyone’s a fundraiser’ into the organisational culture. As our Director of Fundraising, you will be an innovative strategic leader, a people person who combines humanity with data driven decision-making. Your role includes leading an experienced team to deliver over £2.5m in income annually and steward £1m in legacies, with the opportunity to make your own appointments to lead philanthropy. As part of the strategy of the Hospice your business case development will deliver an additional ≥£1m by 2028, in a trajectory for growth. An adept storyteller with a passion for Hospice care – you will lead strategic partnerships, working cross sector and operating effectively at Board/Committee. You will be accountable for identifying, testing and implementing fundraising approaches not typically used to date in the sector, including new philanthropy, donor advised funds and social investment models with a pipeline for delivery of new income. Overview:  

Spires supports homeless and vulnerably housed people in South London. Spires has undergone a period of rapid transformation, moving to a model of multi-site working across three London Boroughs. Our core services include, day centre style drop ins for homeless people, a Women’s drop in, a Refugee drop in and outreach targeted at supporting Women who are sex working.  
 
The Head of Fundraising and Communications will be joining the organisation at an exciting time. Recent successful funding outcomes provide a short period of relative funding stability and an opportunity for the post holder to develop our communications and community fundraising strategies.

Part 1:  Job profile 

 
1.1 Purpose of job 

To generate income from a diverse funding pool that includes trusts and foundations, legacy and individual giving, community giving, government contracts and corporate support. Trusts and foundations remain the primary funding source for Spires so maintaining consistent application output is a core element of the role.

Oversee Spires’ external relations and public profile. The post holder will be responsible for all communications and will look for areas to increase the organisations profile.

Work with Spires CEO and the Head of Client Services to ensure that data and outcomes are being effectively captured in a way that is helpful for evidencing impact.

1.2 Position in organisation 

The post holder joins Spires’ Senior Leadership Team and will report directly to the Chief Executive Officer. The post holder will join the finance, fundraising and risk subcommittee which includes members of the board of trustees.

The post holder will manage the Communications and Community Engagement Lead who currently leads on community fundraising, social media and volunteer recruitment.

Part 2: Key duties and responsibilities 

2.1 Management Responsibilities 

• To manage the fundraising/communications staff and volunteers.

• Hold and record regular staff supervisions.

• Ensure that Spires’ policies are adhered to.

• Attend Spires’ managers meetings.

2.2 Income generation  

• Maximise existing and find new income to meet agreed income targets. 

• Research, write and present attractive propositions for a range of quality funding bids, proposals and documentation. 

• Produce and submit quality funding reports to meet deadlines.

• Maintain up-to-date knowledge of fundraising regulations, networks and developments across the sector, advising on best practice 

2.3 Planning, monitoring and reporting  

• Contribute to the internal planning and budget setting, setting out clear plans for income generation. 

• Contribute to forecasting and regular reporting, producing verbal and written reports for the CEO and Board of Trustees. 

• Actively manage contracts to ensure that Spires is delivering agreed outcomes and spending restricted funds correctly.

2.4 General 

• Review and update the fundraising strategy.

• Undertaking other duties compatible with the level and nature of the post and/or reasonably required by more senior members of staff, including session cover 

• Attend and participate in staff and team meetings and other meetings as required

• Experience of working in the fundraising sector in a professional capacity

Part 4: Summary of terms and conditions of service 

Location: The postholder will be an employee of The Spires Centre. This post is based at 2nd Floor, Elmfield House, 5 Stockwell Mews, SW9 9GX This role will by hybrid with three days in the office and two days from home.

Probation: This post is subject to a 6 month probationary period.

Notice: This post is subject to an 12 weeks’ notice period once confirmed in post. 

Annual leave: The annual leave entitlement is 35 days per year including 8 bank holidays. 

Pension: The Spires Centre will contribute 5% of annual salary for those who qualify for our group pension plan.

This is an exciting opportunity to join St John and play a key role in helping to continue to rebuild our youth programmes post-Covid. The purpose of the role is to engage with new and diverse communities and take ownership of our strategy to increase membership to 20000 young people. The Project Development Officer will be responsible for driving work within these new communities, recruiting new adult volunteers into youth unit teams, promoting SJA youth programmes and building positive relationships with partners and local communities. This is an initial 11 month FTC with the possibility to extend subject to funding.

Overall purpose of the role
As part of a multi-faceted and busy fundraising team, the Events Product Development Lead will take a significant role in strategically planning and delivering a portfolio of new fundraising events to raise funds for Guy’s and St Thomas’ Charities. This role will support the strategic development and delivery of a portfolio of fundraising events aimed at increasing income and diversifying our funding base. You’ll collaborate with teams from all corners of the partnership to test and scale the best ideas. The focus of this role is our virtual and owned events portfolio. This is a strategically significant growth area for the GST Charities and is an exciting opportunity to make a real impact. Fundraising Innovation is part of the wider strategy across GST Charities. Whilst we are in the early stages of embedding innovation across the organisation, you will be part of a growing culture that will help shape, adapt and develop the organisation in the ever changing, fast paced world environment we work in.

Key Responsibilities

· Innovate and develop new supporter led products in collaboration with the Senior Events Manager and Head of Strategy & Innovation, with a focus on virtual events and owned events, along with any other opportunities within this space.
· Oversee product delivery from planning to evaluation, collaborating with experts internally and externally, attending events, and representing GST Charities positively. 
· Utilise insights, ensuring data-driven decisions and staying informed on trends for continuous improvement. 
· Drive income growth, develop budgets, and monitor financial performance. · Provide thorough analysis of products and events, ensuring that all relevant teams are regularly updated on all activity (coordinating information, reporting cross-team, etc.) and providing a clear strategy for the year ahead.

Work environment
· The post holder should expect to:

The Role 

Multiple Disadvantage refuge workers provide specialist support services to women with multiple needs, who have experienced domestic, or sexual violence and who have mental illness or use substances problematically.

You will work as part of the Refuge Team to enhance provision to women who may face additional barriers to accessing refuge or maintaining their space in supported accommodation.  This role will be located over two boroughs, and you will have a small caseload across several sites. You will undertake risk assessments, safety plans and identify support needs in relation to move on such as accessing benefits, setting up utilities, budgeting, ensuring safety measures are in place and to support them to maintain their tenancy. You will provide solution focused casework, whilst ensuring the service users voice is heard throughout. Providing support with life skills and practical support in relation to skills that may not yet have been developed.

You will enhance the refuge service by providing ad hoc advice and capacity building for the refuge team in working with women who experience additional disadvantage.  You will contribute to the smooth running of the refuge, including admissions of survivors.  You will work with women to devise a support plan that meets their immediate practical and emotional needs and starts the process of recovery, linking women into more specialist support services where required.  You will assist your colleagues with the smooth running of the refuge ensuring that rents and service charges are paid, rooms are available, organising repairs and responding to crisis situations.

Accountabilities

· Provide Solution-focused casework interventions with women who have experienced VAWG and severe and multiple disadvantage

· Provide emotional support using a trauma informed approach

· Ensure ongoing assessment and management of risks associated with service users within an attitude of ‘positive risk taking’

· Provide support with life skills, including practical assistance where skills are not yet developed

· Maintain accurate case notes and up to date records

· Contribute to the completion of outcomes reports and funding returns when required

· Complete risk assessments and safety and support planning to meet the individual needs of service users  

· Build and maintain supportive relationships with women, empowering them to access services

· Involve service users in the design, development and delivery of the service

· Promote coordinated, joined-up service delivery for service users between violence against women services and drug and alcohol agencies, mental health, housing, health and legal agencies.

· Attend and contribute to MARAC as appropriate

· Be self-motivated to research processes and services in order to fully support and advocate for the women. 

· Attend regular supervision sessions with your Line Manager.
