Job summary
 
Reporting to the head of growth and sitting within the engagement team you will:

• recruit volunteers by promoting Re-engage’s services,
• develop effective relationships with new and existing referrers such as social prescribers and community link workers
• identify and cultivate new, innovative referral pathways to connect with a broader demographic of seniors experiencing social isolation and loneliness
• support the wider Re-engage team in the delivery of our grant funded projects

 
Engagement officer tasks and requirements

• Growing and developing our network of referral partners, including social prescribers and link workers, ensuring that Re-engage's work is promoted to people aged 75 who are experiencing social isolation and loneliness.
• Partnering with communities to create regular, volunteer led, social gatherings for people aged 75
• Utilise Re-engage's CRM (OPUS) to inform evidence-based, data-driven decision-making to develop effective engagement plans.
• Working closely with the service delivery team ensuring that the right people are recruited and engaged into the right roles, in the right place, and at the right times.
• Collaborating with the communications team ensuring the widest possible publicity for the region’s needs through media and social media opportunities, local press, radio, TV, and online forums.
• Liaising closely with the fundraising team delivering against recruitment targets linked to grants.
• Working with the fundraising team on proposals and grant applications using regional knowledge, identifying local need, and collecting case studies.
• Identifying speaking and presenting opportunities ensuring that Re-engage's work is promoted to referrers.
• Working effectively as part of a regional team, maintaining, and growing all Re-engage services.
• Joint accountability, with colleagues in the region, for the engagement of older people and recruitment of volunteers into Re-engage's portfolio of services
• Carrying out any other reasonable tasks assigned to you by your line manager.
• You’ll be a proactive, solution-focused person with passion and skill for networking and building relationships. You’ll be experienced at building and maintaining effective relationships with referrers and social prescribers and will be a flexible, hands-on team player, who will deliver Re-engage's strategic objectives, values, behaviours, and working practices.

This is an ambitious project by Inner Forth Futures (IFF) - a collaboration of 9 organisations, who have committed to work together with advisory organisations, stakeholders and community groups to achieve a shared vision. The Inner Forth Futures vision is that the sense of connection, purpose and place that put the Inner Forth at the forefront of the industrial development of Scotland will be revitalised. We aim to achieve this using a landscape scale approach with heritage at its core to engage people in new ways in the Inner Forth’s management.

The Climate FORTH project began delivery in August 2023 and will run until November 2026 to contribute significantly to delivering our vision. Climate FORTH is funded by The National Lottery Heritage Fund and a range of co-funders.

In this Project Officer role you will support project delivery by leading business and tourism sector engagement activity that supports the delivery of our sustainable tourism activities.

This will include the following activities;

• Facilitating the use of a Visitor Giving Scheme across the landscape - an opportunity for those benefitting and enjoying the local heritage of the Inner Forth to invest and enhance.
• Develop and deliver the ‘Round the Forth passport scheme’ to encourage locals and visitors alike to engage with heritage sites in the landscape.
• Facilitating the creation of car free itineraries and signage for heritage attractions in the Inner Forth.
• Setup and delivery of a series of events at lesser-known heritage sites and ‘visiteering’ opportunities (volunteer sessions for visitors) to promote local tourism and support the economic resilience of local businesses.
• Engaging local businesses with a created ‘Tourism Toolkit’ - designed to provide information on the local area, its heritage assets and offering resources to promote walking/cycling tourism.
• Setup and delivery of Tourism and Hospitality Business Upskilling sessions promoting the Tourism Toolkit, including familiarisation trips, talks from industry specialists and networking.

The successful candidate will have proven experience of working in the business engagement and/or tourism sector. You will be supported by the Climate FORTH Project Manager, Steering Group and Board but you will need to be able to demonstrate a strong ability to work independently and to demonstrate your own initiative.

The post will be based at the RSPB Skinflats Reserve near Falkirk, with flexibility to work part of the week from home and occasional weekend and evening work. The role will include regular travel around the Inner Forth to businesses and sites.

Additional responsibilities include supporting the Project Manager with elements of grant reporting and contributing to internal and external communications.

Essentials:

• Experience of business engagement and / or working with the tourism sector.
• Knowledge of a range of techniques for promoting heritage or sustainable tourism. 
• Ability to persuade and influence a wide range of people - including the ability to involve businesses in project activities and schemes.

• Some knowledge of the theory and practice of project management.

About GMYF

GMYF is a long-established charity that works with young people across Greater Manchester to support their aspirations and create opportunities. We deliver a year-round programme of recreational and educational opportunities to young people within our stand-alone Centres as well as providing support to affiliated clubs.

GMYF opened our first youth centre in Partington in September 2022 and a second youth centre in Charlestown in July 2024. These Centres provide an ambitious and enriching curriculum for young people with a wide range of activities. We also jointly own an Outdoors Activities Centre in Cumbria – Ormside Mill. GMYF took on a management function for Norbrook Youth Centre, Wythenshaw from 1st May 2025, a previous affiliate member.

Youth Activites Lead - Main Purpose of the job

To lead day to day operations providing a ‘hands-on’ management role to play & youth workers, oversight of external providers delivering activities to young people at Norbrook. Leading and implementing an enriching youth work curriculum, quality assurance and health and safety standards, providing outstanding outcomes young people. Working with external partners and attending partnership meetings.

Main Tasks and Responsibilities

Leadership and Management:

1. Provide curriculum and quality assurance framework for youth work at Norbrook,  providing a vibrant enriching offer for young people including youth voice and residential activities

2. Provide regular one-to-one support, coaching and appraisal of direct reports including Continuous Professional Development (CPD)

3. Support the centre self-evaluation process to inform GMYF Self Improvement Plan

4. Support the wider running of the charity though attendance at meetings and events

5. Complete small scale funding bids to enhance the centre youth offer   

 Health and Safety: 

1. Ensure centres meet health and safety standards/regulations including daily site checks, kitchen hygiene, risk assessments, fire drills, accident, and complaints logs

2. Provide clear guidance to centre staff and user groups on safe and compliant systems to ensure a safe, fit for purpose centre

3. Oversee all off-site trips and visits ensuring they are risk assessed, supervised, staff are briefed and staff understand their roles and responsibilities

4. Ensure a record of young people, staff and visitors on site is maintained

5. Manage a programme of Planned Preventative Maintenance (PPE) ensuring centre remains compliant with current H&S requirements e.g. PAT testing, hygiene, shutters

6. Manage centre Assets Register

7. Hold responsibility for centres’ petty cash budget subject to approved limits

8. Line manage youth work team including Youthwork Lead

Curriculum/Safeguarding/Achievements:

1. To work with the Quality Assurance officer to plan and deliver an exciting and vibrant curriculum for children and young people, ensuring the needs of SEND are met

2. Maintain and update direct reports HR files

3. Approve and oversee the work of a range of support agencies to promote the well-being of children and young people e.g. Brook, Lifeline, NHS, Social Services

4. Lead and promote positive attitudes and high standards of performance for staff teams, using de-escalation skills to resolve issues in line with established policies

5. Set high standards for children and young people’s learning which support them to feel safe, ambitious, accepted and valued

6. Ensure recording of incidents, exclusions, interventions, actions taken on-site are managed in accordance with organisation policies and processes

7. Report and record safeguarding issues/concerns to the Designated Safeguarding Lead

8. Manage the use of external visits and activities to ensure these are risk assessed, to budget and with set learning objectives

Professional and Personal Conduct:

1. Support and contribute to the overall aims of the charity carrying out all duties with full regard to the policies, procedures and high standards of GMYF

Scope of role

The Debt Technical Supervisor is responsible for supporting Debt Advisers to ensure the delivery of accurate, effective, and tailored advice to over-indebted clients. This role involves conducting debt-advice interview observations, reviewing case files, and identifying training needs for advisers. The Debt Technical Supervisor provides real-time support and constructive feedback, helping advisers navigate complex cases and ensuring they have access to the necessary resources and information. Additionally, the role includes auditing delivery partner organisations to prepare them for external reviews and supporting them in meeting compliance and quality standards. The supervisor will collaborate with the Quality Assurance Manager to promote best practices, address risks, and contribute to the continuous professional development of advisers.

Key Responsibilities

Support Debt Advisers in their roles and ensure that the advice provided to over- indebted Clients is accurate, effective and tailored to individuals’ circumstances.

• Conducting debt-advice interview observations.
• Undertaking debt advice file reviews.
• Identifying advisers’ soft skill and technical training needs.
• Providing constructive feedback, and pastoral support, to advisers and their line managers.
• Providing real-time support to advisers, which will include but is not limited to providing guidance in complex matters and provide advisers with sources of information.

Support, and regularly audit delivery partner organisations, ensuring that they are prepared for external reviews of their service in line with the Grant Agreement.

• Ensure partner organisation are kept up to date with the requirements for external assessments.
• Supporting partner organisations with the preparation and review of files and documentation ahead of an external assessment.
• Support partner organisations with the implementation of any remedial actions following an external review and support advisors to identify suitable training to improve areas highlighted.

Ensure project compliance and quality requirements are achieved

• Working closely with the Quality Assurance Mangers to ensure Advisors based at delivery partners have a good awareness and understanding of the quality and service delivery requirements and have active involvement in the delivery of partnership events related to both quality improvement and CPD.
• Working collaboratively to share good practice in performance and quality improvement and to progress key priority areas of work.
• Escalating risks promptly and appropriately and contributing to wider monitoring and reporting requirements.

Contribute to Team

Our dedicated and friendly team of nine staff are based in central Bath and we are seeking someone to join us in the Partnerships team to focus on supporting fundraising and stewarding high-net worth individuals, alongside supporting the wider work of the Partnerships Team to grow income from Trusts and Foundations.

Working with the Senior Partnerships Manager and Partnerships Assistant you will focus on stewarding, reporting to and securing income from our portfolio of existing high net worth individuals. Leading on the stewardship of a select portfolio of donors, supporting with mailings, appeals and thanking as well as developing prospects with the Individual Giving Team.

As part of a small energetic team, you will also support with specific projects and busy periods such as supporting the BBC Radio 4 Appeal and covering workloads during in-country visits to Ethiopia.

Ethiopiaid is a small charity that makes a big impact in Ethiopia. Our approach is simple, and it works. Since 1989, we have partnered with local NGOs in Ethiopia to provide the funding they need to put their programmes into action.

The projects we fundraise for range from maternal health, education, and disability to opportunities for women and girls, ending harmful practices, palliative care, health and emergency & recovery work. We support our partners to strengthen their capacity and deliver locally led programmes to transform lives at a grassroots level.

Main areas of responsibility, but not limited to:

Fundraising:

• Support income generation from a specific portfolio of high net worth individuals ‘Major Donors and Major Donor Prospects’
• Support delivery of the Major Donor mailing cycles and bespoke mailings including editing, data, printing and sorting.
• Ensure all donations are thanked and acknowledged in a professional and timely manner via relevant channels and by appropriate staff.
• Working to ensure online and offline communications include or exclude high net worth individuals in line with strategy and bespoke communication plans.
• Working with staff who manage our website to create and maintain bespoke landing pages and Partnership website pages
• Liaise with members of the wider team, specifically those working in Individual Giving to ensure; materials produced are always accurate & on brand and high net worth individuals receive any relevant communications produced by other teams
• Support wider fundraising activities and special appeals that involve high-net worth individuals
• Deliver on team KPIs and financial targets

Stewardship:

• Support Snr Partnerships Manager to ensure high net worth individuals bespoke Action plans are actioned and kept up to date.
• Support the stewardship of Major Donor Prospects and support development of donor pathways
• Lead on Major Donors Regular Giving stewardship:
• Working to uplift recurring gifts
• Secure new recurring gifts from Major Donors
• Coordinate a monthly regular giving membership newsletter Tibbir along with the Fundraising Officer (Individual Giving)

Support to the Partnerships Team

• Sharing partner project and budget updates as received
• Attend relevant Monitoring and Evaluation meetings (online)
• Support and provide cover during Partnerships Team members visiting Ethiopia
• Supporting the stewardship of family Trusts (managed by Partnerships Assistant – Trusts & Foundations focus)
• Prospect Research (managed by Partnerships Assistant – Trusts & Foundations focus)

Administration:

• Ensure gifts received are coded correctly taking into account Gift Aid, appeals, specified funds.
• Ensure donors details are correctly recorded and updated
• Support compliance with GDPR and donor’s communication preferences.

What will you do? 

You will work with a highly motivated staff and volunteer team to deliver a quality outreach advice and support service for individuals with an acquired brain injury in Gloucestershire.

We value transferrable skills and are particularly interested to receive applications from candidates who have experience of managing a client caseload and of working to empower and support vulnerable adults.

Under the direction of the CEO at Headway Gloucestershire, you will work alongside clients with complex needs to support their recovery, wellbeing, independence and autonomy, working towards agreed goals and recording key outputs and outcomes. This might include:-

1. Providing brain injury recovery information and advice, working with compensation situations and making referrals to clinicians and health providers.

2. Maintaining tenancies by assisting with paperwork, organising payment plans, negotiating with landlords or mortgage providers.

As Clinical Director, you will work closely with the trustees to oversee and develop the delivery of our befriending services, including our newly funded enhanced befriending project. This pivotal role combines leadership, service development, and operational oversight.

Context

Q:alliance provides support, information and representation for the LGBTQ+ people who live, work and play in Milton Keynes and surrounding areas. We have detailed knowledge of the issues and challenges that organisations and individuals face locally.

It’s our goal to create more safe spaces and resources to ensure the LGBTQ+ community is well represented and supported.

Scope

This established role will engage the LGBTQ+ Schools Partnership Forum (Milton Keynes) to plan, deliver and evaluate educational programmes for young people and manage a 1:1 caseload of support for LGBTQ+ young people across schools, colleges, and youth services in Milton Keynes. You will develop and implement training to upskill teachers, education staff and youth workers. Working collaboratively with all partners to ensure safe spaces for young LGBTQ+ people across diverse settings with particular focus on increasing resilience, wellbeing, and mental health of LGBTQ+ youth communities.

You will work closely with our youth work team and CEO to determine targets for outreach, engagement, and effective monitoring systems to ensure robust reporting.

Main Responsibilities

· Networking – Strengthen the LGBTQ+ Schools Partnership Forum, supporting teachers, education staff and youth workers to access resources, implement inclusive learning environments and provide support for LGBTQ+ young people in their settings. Coordinate meetings with the network to update on shifting needs, priorities, and situations in a local and national context.

· Data capture and intelligence - Support Q;alliance’s commitment to sustaining a contemporary data and monitoring mechanism, guaranteeing we can deliver thorough evaluations of our services and competent feedback to our funders and stakeholders on the efficacy of our work. Analyse local intelligence directly from LGBTQ+ youth communities and use this to co-produce plans with young people to ensure our youth services are engaging and meeting needs.

· Support, information and empowerment – develop and implement resources for 1:1 education and resilience work with LGBTQ+ young people, provide support for young people in crisis, ensuring effective signposting to relevant services and collaboration with parents, guardians, teachers and education staff where appropriate.

· Innovation – work with the CEO, LGBTQ+ Schools Partnership Forum and young people to innovate a schools accreditation system that will acknowledge and cultivate schools’ competence to provide safe spaces and support for LGBTQ+ young people.

· Stakeholder and community engagement – Work with Communications and Engagement Manager to plan outreach activities in line with Engagement Plan and communicate with youth communities in line with our Communications Strategy. Forge and support enduring relationships with key partners, strengthening our commitment to building an alliance of cross-sector compassionate advocates for the LGBTQ+ community in its diverse forms.

· Education – Plan, develop and deliver positive and engaging classroom workshops and school assemblies to a wide range of young people, ensuring key messages are inclusive of diverse perspectives, including those from black and minoritized communities.

· Training - Develop and deliver training for teachers, education staff and youth workers with the aim of improving the wellbeing of LGBTQ+ youth communities and the capacity of those with the power to assist in this endeavour.

What you’ll bring to the team

You will serve as the first point of contact for schools, colleges and youth settings. You will chair a dynamic network of school and college leads and empower team members with the information you have gained so that we can better respond to the needs of LGBTQ+ young people, including how this may relate to securing vital funds for services. You will help our youth workers understand the impact education has on the lives of our youth communities, whilst championing the good work of teachers and education staff who are trailblazers. You will ensure continuity of support between school, Q:Hub (our youth support space) and our other youth service provisions.
