We are seeking an exceptional fundraiser who can offer a strong track record of driving organisational growth in the voluntary sector. Multi-year experience in two or more of the following core service areas is essential:
- Achieving major grant funding from trusts, foundations, lottery distributors, public sector agencies or similar.
- Planning and developing successful contract tender submissions.
- Planning and developing successful fundraising strategies and action plans.
- Major Donor, Legacy or Corporate fundraising strategy and delivery
The role is varied and interesting - managing a portfolio of clients and supporting them directly or strategically with their fundraising, impact evaluation and organisational development. Our consultants are all employees and we work closely together as a supportive team, sharing and developing skills and knowledge. We anticipate the appointee may not hold experience across all core areas of our services. Based from home (must be UK resident), with ad hoc client and team meetings/socials (all travel paid), mostly within England. All IT equipment provided. Full-time or part-time (minimum 0.8 FTE - 28 hrs).

We're recruiting for an Individual Giving Manager to join our team, and take the lead on our warm programme, bringing in around £1.2 million donated income per year. This role offers a mixture of campaign and project management, innovation and creative thinking. You'll be able to analyse results and apply insights to optimise and improve campaigns.
As a Individual Giving Manager you will
- Lead on the development and implementation of an effective programme to develop supporters using a range of channels, including but not limited to direct mail, telemarketing, DRTV and digital, and products including cash, raffle, regular giving, weekly lottery.
- Assist the Senior Individual Giving Manager to develop and implement an effective development strategy in order to maximise the lifetime value of supporters and the long-term sustainable net income raised for Barnardo's.
- Manage income and expenditure budgets.
- Line manage up to 3 direct reports.
You will have experience of :
- Working in a fundraising environment, specifically in direct marketing and across different channels.
- Delivering campaigns using a project management approach.

The Opportunity:

What we offer:
This full time, fully remote position offers a salary of £50,000-55,000 if you are a UK resident. If you reside in a different location, the salary will be adjusted accordingly. With the end of bear bile farming in Vietnam now within reach, Animals Asia is entering an exciting new phase – expanding sanctuary capacity, entering new markets, and securing long-term care for every rescued bear.
Animals Asia has spent over 25 years working to end cruelty and restore respect for animals across Asia. We are looking for a driven and ambitious fundraiser to join our small but mighty fundraising team at a crucial period for the organisation as we find ourselves in the midpoint of our strategy period.

Key Responsibilities
- Trust Fundraising
- Prospecting – researching new trust and foundation opportunities
- Writing five-figure applications
- Managing a portfolio of 25-30 Trusts and Foundations
- Thanking – writing thank you letters, notes and confirmation receipts
- Banking – liaising with our colleagues in finance and supporters, to support receipt of funding
- Supporting the design of new thanking materials and a schedule of keeping supporters updated - thank you cards, seasonal messaging, reporting templates
- Reporting – annually to donors, managing reporting schedule with Senior Fundraising Manager and colleagues in finance.
- Small trusts outreach and mailings.
- CRM: Updating our database on a weekly basis, data entry, updating current funders, payment schedules, agreements, building dashboards
- Monthly review of fundraising pipelines and opportunities, supporting the team with forecasting and their own pipeline management
- Participating in cross team meetings with fundraising agenda’s - bid kick off meetings, delivery/funders meetings, E&I, programmes.
- Finance – monthly reconciliation meeting.
- Logistics support for donor engagement days/meetings
- Managing case study bank and securing new case studies from the Programmes Team.
- Team work and Administration
- Cross-team working – connecting with the programmes team on a regular basis
- Responding to all cross-organisational needs, including wellbeing surveys, attending team meetings and collaboration sessions
- Minute taking on a rolling basis across the team
- Preparing external meeting briefs
- Representing the organisation externally – conferences, networking etc.
- Contributing into fundraising reporting to Khulisa’s Board of Trustees
