Deafblind UK has championed people with dual sensory loss since 1928, helping them to overcome the unique set of challenges they face. What you’ll be doing

You will produce excellent and compelling funding applications, based on thorough research. You will liaise with colleagues to help construct applications. Once funding is secured, you will steward your portfolio of funders to ensure that they are well informed about our work and inclined to provide us with further support. You will ensure that records are accurately maintained on our CRM system.

You will bring to the role:

• Proven experience in Trusts Fundraising
• Demonstrable evidence of first-class writing skills, with the capacity to translate complex subject matter into a compelling, and easily understood case for support
• Good research skills, with the ability to match the organisation’s projects and strands of work with funders’ priorities
• Good organisational skills with the capacity to meet multiple deadlines
• Good admin skills, with a good eye for detail, and a commitment to 100% accuracy

Community fundraiser - 8 month FTC

We’re looking for a Community Fundraiser to join Sense on an 8-month fixed term contract. This is a fantastic opportunity to help grow our community fundraising income while building meaningful relationships with supporters across the UK.

About the role

As Community Fundraiser, you will play a key role in developing and growing our community fundraising activity, helping to build a strong, engaged supporter base and generate vital income to support disabled people with complex needs.

You will lead on key income streams such as “Do Your Own Fundraising” and In Memory giving, while supporting campaigns, events and regional opportunities to maximise engagement and impact.

Key Responsibilities

• Recruit, steward and grow community fundraising supporters.
• Drive participation in key events and challenges.
• Deliver excellent supporter care and build lasting relationships.
• Develop engaging supporter journeys to increase retention and income.
• Work with internal teams to share inspiring stories and increase awareness.
• Identify and support regional fundraising opportunities and grants.

We are looking for a Regional Fundraiser to deliver locally tailored activity, building and maintaining strong relationships with supporters, community groups, businesses and volunteers to grow income and engagement.

The Role
Work closely with the Regional Fundraising Team Manager and colleagues, contributing to planning, delivery and mitigation across key income streams.

Work with national leads (corporate, in memory, events, legacies) and Regional Fundraising leads (major donors, volunteer-led).

Be an ambassador, representing the charity within the local community, promoting collaboration across hospice, retail and fundraising teams.

Ensure excellent supporter stewardship, accurate data management and compliant fundraising practice.

The Candidate
Experience of successfully delivering activity in line with fundraising strategy.

Experience of delivering net income, ideally from income streams including corporate, in memory, events (third-party and staff led) high value (5k+), community groups and volunteer-led activity.

Experience of forming, nurturing and maintaining relationships within local communities including individuals, groups and associations to deliver growth in income.

Experience of using a fundraising CRM to manage activity.

Driving licence preferable.

Whilst direct fundraising experience is strongly preferred, you may have transferable skills from project, event or client management roles. You'll have experience using Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint; experience using Canva or a similar design programme would be beneficial but is not essential.

We are looking for a Senior Trusts Fundraiser who can inspire major funders and help unlock significant income. The Trusts team has grown strongly over the past two years and the area continues to be resilient. This vacancy has been open since Christmas and offers an exciting opportunity to join a team with strong leadership, a supportive culture and a wide portfolio of impactful projects.

You will work on substantial bids at the two hundred thousand pound level and above. The role involves navigating the breadth and complexity of a large national organisation.
