As an Individual Giving, Retention Fundraiser, you’ll work as part of the Public Fundraising team responsible for managing a portfolio of Individual Giving campaigns from inception through to evaluation to generate funds, improve engagement and increase life-time value of existing supporters

The role

In this role, you will:

· Be responsible for managing retention campaigns, coordinating with a number of different stakeholders, both internal and externally.

· Experience of monitoring and reporting of results and other financial data.

· Experience of working with data for fundraising purposes, either in using a database to select and segment data or of producing briefs to do so.

· Work with the Senior Individual Giving Fundraisers to deliver campaigns against agreed budgets

Primary location of role

This is a remote role, and the candidate will need to be based in the Kent, Sussex, or Surrey area. Regular travel will be required to meet supporters and visit Asda stores in your region, as well as occasional travel to our London office.

Working closely with the public health sector, we provide therapies, counselling and group activities to those affected by cancer.

SECHC aims to give any person affected by cancer an opportunity to explore ways which may help them to cope with their situation. Confidentiality is always maintained. About the Role

We are seeking an experienced community fundraiser who will play an instrumental role in our established as well as new fundraising events, community engagement, stewardship, increasing awareness of the Centre as well as income generation.

What You'll Be Doing

Your responsibilities will include:

1. Engage, inspire and encourage supporters, schools, community groups and high street businesses fundraising on behalf of the charity, helping them to achieve their full potential by providing a positive supporter journey.

• Secure headline sponsorships and partnerships for productions, events, and community programmes.
• Identify, research, and approach potential corporate prospects aligned with our mission and values.
• Develop compelling proposals, sponsorship packages, and partnership collateral.
• Manage and steward existing corporate partners, ensuring the delivery of all benefits and recognition.
• Negotiate and manage venue hire and hospitality partnerships, working with production and marketing colleagues.
• Plan and deliver corporate events and activations, ensuring high-quality experiences for guests and partners.
• Maintain accurate financial and contact records via the Spektrix fundraising database.
• Work closely with the Board and Development team to identify and leverage new opportunities.

About you

As a key part of our fundraising efforts in our high-performing East region, you will have the opportunity to drive income generation through a variety of initiatives, including challenge events, fundraising groups, and corporate partnerships such as charity of the year. You will also be responsible for driving initiatives to increase our profile and supporter base within Buckinghamshire, Bedfordshire, Hertfordshire, Northamptonshire and Essex.

The Principal Gifts Fundraiser is responsible for securing new six and seven figure gifts from individuals to grow our portfolio of major donors.  Responsible for prospecting and cultivating new philanthropic relationships through 121 engagement and through events, developing compelling propositions that drive transformational funding to our strategic programmes of work.  This role maximises income generation and philanthropic engagement to deliver against our strategic objectives and ambitious income targets.

This role is part of the Together with Trussell programme, the goal of which is to build stronger connections with our supporters, partners and donors in order to increase funding, campaigning, and other forms of support for our work.  As a member of an enabling programme, this role is focused on the successful delivery of the Together with Trussell programme outcomes, which underpin and enable the outcomes of our 5 external programmes – together contributing to the fulfilment of our long term vision of a UK without the need for food banks.

Role responsibilities

· Develop and implement strategies to identify, cultivate, and nurture connections with potential donors that secure six and seven-figure gifts in support of Trussell’s mission and strategic priorities, maintaining a healthy pipeline and accurate records on Salesforce.

· Work closely with Trussell’s senior leadership team and trustees to build engagement with high value donors and create compelling propositions.

· Oversee the development of an events calendar and stewardship communications that provide opportunities to connect, cultivate and steward high value partners and donors.

· Collaborate with colleagues across fundraising to maximise opportunities across income streams.
