The National Pro Bono Centre brings together charities dedicated to providing pro bono legal services and improving access to justice. We serve as a central resource for charities who help people seeking free legal advice and representation. The role:

To build on our achievements, we are looking for someone to lead on strategy, to promote collaboration and coordination across the sector, to maintain and develop relationships with key stakeholders, and to oversee and lead on the growth and development of our portfolio of projects and activities. 

Key Responsibilities:

• Strategic leadership – Continuing to develop NPBC’s strategy in accordance with the vision, mission, strategic priorities, and values of the charity, working together with the Board of Trustees, staff, and our key stakeholders.
• Operational management - Ensuring that the organisation is run efficiently, with robust financial controls.  Managing the small team (3 permanent employees and 3 contractors).  Working with the team on projects and events management.
• Fundraising – Leading on fundraising and building and developing the relationship between NPBC and existing sponsors, as well as seeking out and building relationships with new and potential sponsors.
• Communications - Representing the NPBC in the promotion of its mission, vision and aims externally.
• Governance - Ensuring that the charity is well administered and working with the Board of Trustees to meet its legal, statutory, and regulatory responsibilities.

About you:

We are looking for a strategic planner with a proven record of leading teams or organisations to deliver high quality results.  You will need to be able to demonstrate a strong track record of fundraising through commercial sponsorship and developing lasting relationships with key stakeholder partners to achieve this.

Philanthropy Officer

The Edinburgh International Festival is looking for two Development Officers to help us present this unparalleled celebration of the performing arts, which brings some of the most exciting and creative artists working today to audiences from around the world. 

We are seeking two relationship-driven and detail-oriented people to join our Development team as our new Philanthropy and Partnerships Officers.

The Philanthropy Officer will deliver and grow the Festival’s successful membership schemes, nurture supporter relationships, deliver engaging fundraising events and strategic donor communications, and design and implement creative and revenue-generating appeals and  initiatives. With support from the Individual Giving Manager, you will work collaboratively across the Development team in a fast-paced environment, requiring flexibility and creativity, as well as excellent time-management, communication and administrative skills.

We are also looking to recruit a Partnerships Officer who will join a team responsible for managing and growing relationships with corporate, international, and strategic partners. You will support the delivery of high-quality partnership management across all stages—from proposal development and reporting to stewardship and event coordination. You’ll also take ownership of a portfolio of entry-level partners and can build your skills through hands-on experience.

Job Description

Who are Spinal Research?

We are Spinal Research, the UK's leading medical charity focused on the repair and restoration of the spinal cord. Every two hours, someone in the UK will become paralysed. Globally, it is estimated that 15.4 million people are living with paralysis. It can happen to anyone at any time, changing lives instantly. We fund groundbreaking research that will cure paralysis, ensuring people living with spinal cord injuries will get life-changing treatments.

The Role:

The Data Manager will be responsible for overseeing and managing the end-to-end processing of all supporter and organisational data. This includes the set-up and management of systems, ensuring data accuracy and integrity across multiple sources, and preparing information to support financial reporting. The role holder will also ensure the effective use of Salesforce CRM and other connected systems, while enabling teams across the organisation to use data to drive insight and impact.

This role will report into the Head of Operations and Strategy, providing guidance on data management, systems improvements and organisational effectiveness.

Responsibilities:

Data Management & Processing:

• Manage the end-to-end flow of supporter and organisational data across all systems.
• Collate data from multiple sources and prepare/upload into Salesforce CRM.
• Ensure data is reconciled with bank statements to guarantee completeness and accuracy.
• Carry out manual processing and preparation steps required for accountants and financial reporting.
• Maintain data quality and integrity across all systems and databases.

Systems & Integration:

• Oversee the access, security, and effective use of Salesforce CRM, payment platforms and third-party systems.
• Map and align data across platforms to ensure correct integration and reporting.
• Identify, resolve and prevent system or data flow errors.
• Support the Head of Operations and Strategy in implementing new systems or improvements.

Data Analysis & Insight:

• Provide accurate data analysis and insights to support strategic decision-making.

This is an exciting opportunity to join an ambitious and talented Development team

We are looking for an experienced Membership Manager to join our small and friendly Development team (Fundraising and Membership) and drive our strategy for Membership. With a healthy existing membership base of nearly 15,000, and a database of 100,000 registrants, this role will support the Head of Development in delivering the best possible membership offer for families in the Twins Trust community. About the Youth Endowment Fund

We’re here to prevent children and young people becoming involved in violence. We do this by finding out what works and building a movement to put this knowledge into practice.

Last year, 244 people in England and Wales tragically died after being assaulted with a knife. Of these, 32 were children. Every child captured in these numbers is an important member of our community and society has a duty to protect them. Even when violence doesn’t strike directly, we know that the fear of violence has a terrible effect on children’s lives.

The Youth Endowment Fund exists to try and permanently change things. To succeed, we must build an exceptional body of knowledge about violence affecting young people and how we reduce it. This knowledge has to be both rigorous and highly relevant to those making decisions about how to support vulnerable young people. We need to find out what works and what doesn’t through evidence synthesis, data analysis and qualitative research into children’s lives. We need to convert this into highly accessible content on what works, how delivery organisations need to change their practice and how the systems they operate in need to be reformed. We then need to work with the right people that can make change happen, across systems, policies and practice, to have a real impact on reducing violence affecting children’s lives.

We can’t do this alone, we have to build and maintain brilliant partnerships across government, with other funders and with wider society. We are looking for an exceptional individual to lead on this work. We also need to have an eye for the future. Our present endowment must be spent down by April 2029. We need someone who can lead on planning for the future.

Key responsibilities

You ensure that we:

· Are ready for the future: Born with a ten-year endowment, the YEF has become the leading authoritative voice on how to reduce violence affecting children. We must spend down this endowment by April 2029, so need to start thinking about after this date. You will lead on ensuring we have a great plan for post 2029. You will spot the best opportunities, assess them and, over time, take them. This includes both building great external relationships and also ensuring there’s a clearly articulated, inspiring narrative – filled with facts, examples and case studies - of what has been delivered to date and what needs to happen between 2029 and 2039 to double down on our mission. To do this, you will orchestrate the expertise and knowledge of colleagues across the organisation – ensuring that what you need comes together perfectly.

· Build and maintain great relationships across government: We have an increasingly large number of relationships across government – providing advice and support on what works to prevent violence. You will be ready to offer advice to colleagues on those relationships where needed. You will build new relationships and maintain them where they are needed so we are ready for the future. You will be really well organised too ensuring that internal colleagues know which relationships they own and making sure that key regular meetings are in place. We have a simple process that tracks these relationships; you will make this process work well for us – with minimum bureaucracy and maximum effectiveness. You will also provide help and advice and coaching as YEF colleagues think through how best to get system changes to happen that will ultimately reduce violence.

· Build great relationships with other organisations that will be key to the future: As the lead organisation on reducing violence affecting young people, we increasingly receive and see a host of opportunities to partner with other organisations including funders on projects, co-funding and research. You will support this work – leading on relationships that are essential in making us ready for the future. You will spot the opportunity, build relationships, bring in other YEF colleagues, pull together key information, write brilliant documents where needed, win others over. In short, you will make great things happen.

Secondments

Hybrid Working Details

We are seeking a part-time Trusts and Grants Fundraiser to help raise funds for these vital projects by researching and writing applications and reports to charitable trusts and foundations, and by supporting grant applications to public funders. Responsibilities

• maintain and manage our existing pipeline of charitable trusts and foundations

• undertake research and identify trusts and foundations whose priorities align with our work, in line with organisational priorities

• work closely with the General Manager and Director of Education to research, prepare and submit high quality, compelling applications, ranging from 4-6 figures and including multi-year proposals

About the Role
