About the role

We are seeking a highly organised and professional Development and Events Manager to join our small team and play a pivotal role in shaping our future. The role will develop and grow our newly launched 1066 Club and strengthen our existing Membership programme, while working closely with the Head of Development to raise vital income that sustains our artistic and community programmes.

This role is an excellent opportunity for someone ready to take the next step in their fundraising career within an organisation embarking on an exciting period of transformation.

Key responsibilities include

• Manage membership and supporter schemes including administration, renewals, upgrades, CRM records, Gift Aid, payments, and mailings
• Build strong relationships with supporters, providing excellent customer service and personalised communications
• Develop and deliver strategies to grow membership and 1066 Club and increase income
• Create engaging content for newsletters, social media, website and PR to promote membership and supporter schemes
• Champion membership across the gallery, training Visitor Services staff to promote sign-ups and donations
• Plan and deliver member and supporter events, including exhibition openings
• Manage venue hire bookings
• Monitor and analyse membership and donation data, producing reports to inform strategy and track performance
• Manage data submissions for funder reporting and contribute to CRM and digital development projects
• Support trust and foundation fundraising through research, applications, and reporting

What the job involves

We’re looking for a Senior Supporter Journeys Executive to help us shape how our supporters experience our charity. Working at the heart of the Individual Giving team, you’ll design and deliver engaging, insight-led journeys that build loyalty, reduce attrition, and encourage long-term support.

This is an exciting time for the charity as we're delivering a new 3-year fundraising strategy with a particular focus on loyalty. In this newly created role, you'll play a key part in making sure every touchpoint, from the first welcome to ongoing engagement, feels personal, timely, and meaningful.

You'll be responsible for developing and improving multi-channel journeys for both new and existing supporters, coordinating the creation of journeys from various channels to help increase conversion. You’ll also support the design and rollout of journeys for key segments, including legacy enquirers and tribute fund donors.

Working with our data and insight colleagues, you’ll monitor journey performance using key metrics like retention and lifetime value. You'll use our CRM and Email Service Provider to identify opportunities, track activity, and coordinate testing of messaging and value propositions to maximise engagement.

As a key collaborator, you’ll work with colleagues across the organisation and with external agencies to ensure our supporter journeys are joined up and focused on the individual.  

What we want from you

This role is a great fit for someone with experience in Individual Giving, donor stewardship, or similar supporter experience roles. You'll have a strong understanding of what drives loyalty and retention, and a clear grasp of donor lifetime value.

Your project coordination skills will be essential as you manage multiple priorities across teams, ensuring clear communication and efficient delivery. We need someone who’s comfortable working with data and insight to inform decisions, using CRMs (ideally Raiser’s Edge) and email platforms like Adestra to improve supporter journeys and campaign performance. You'll also have a good working knowledge of direct marketing concepts and multi-channel delivery, including mail, email, and digital.

We're looking for an independent thinker who can not only manage projects but also proactively identify and develop new opportunities from their own observations. With your collaborative mindset, you'll be able to work effectively across teams and adapt to changing priorities, always focused on delivering an exceptional supporter experience that's insight-led and truly impactful.

The Generous Giving Manager is a very exciting and influential role at the Diocese, as you will build on the strong and energetic foundations within our two-person Generous Giving Team to strengthen the financial sustainability of local churches by encouraging generosity in time, talents and financial giving.

Working closely with deaneries, parishes and their leadership teams, you will identify local challenges and opportunities for generous giving, sharing innovative giving practices to help parishes and deaneries develop creative and effective ways to resource their mission.

Communicating clearly and inspiringly the principles of Christian giving to diverse audiences, you will keep up to date with National Church resources, promoting and supporting a wide range of giving methods such as the Parish Giving Scheme (PGS), online and contactless giving. You will also offer guidance to parish officers for resources on giving campaigns, legacies and grant funding.

This is an ideal role for someone with a good understanding of church life, a passion for helping local churches thrive, a strong commitment to community engagement and an understanding of generosity grounded in Christian teaching.

With demonstrable experience in fundraising or parish ministry, you should bring an awareness of the financial and missional challenges facing churches today, particularly in rural contexts. 

With an understanding of the Church of England’s structures, ethos, and range of traditions, you will have the proven ability to plan, advise on and lead giving or fundraising programmes in a not-for-profit or charitable context. You should also have a clear understanding of the teaching which underpins the Christian principles of giving.

Your motivational and collaborative approach across a variety of settings, combined with your outstanding interpersonal skills and natural ability at rapport building will ensure you are able to generate and develop creative, solution-focused ideas, engaging and inspiring individuals and groups, both in person and online.

Typically, you will operate during office hours but will need to adjust your working pattern in order to meet with parishes in the evenings and/or occasionally attend their Sunday worship, so the ability to travel to remote locations and work flexibly is a necessity.

What the job involves

We're on the lookout for a motivated Direct Marketing professional to bring their skills to our Individual Giving Team, with a focus on retention campaigns.

Direct Marketing plays an important role in the Charity’s fundraising and overall corporate strategy. We’re looking for a confident and proactive fundraiser to take responsibility for the delivery and ongoing development of our current retention programme.

You’ll deliver timely, targeted, relevant communications to our warm audiences; newly recruited and existing cash supporters and regular givers with the aim of strengthening loyalty and increasing their lifetime value.

With internal and external stakeholders, you’ll project manage existing direct marketing campaigns in the form of direct mail appeals, emails, telemarketing and occasional stewardship events. You’ll consistently analyse KPIs and make evidence-based decisions to help assist with growing the programme and delivering our overall financial target.

What we want from you

Aside from excellent knowledge and experience of working in a direct marketing environment, which includes developing and implementing retention focused direct marketing campaigns, you’ll also have a range of channel experience and marketing knowledge.

You’ll possess first class communication skills, a strong team ethic and you’ll be at ease working with internal and external stakeholders at all levels. The ability to manage budgets and projects is also essential, along with proven knowledge of data protection and sector compliance. Knowledge of direct marking and fundraising law would be advantageous.

About the role

We’re looking for someone who has experience in marketing, communications and engagement for events, gala lunches, fundraising products and campaigns. We want you to bring creativity, insight and energy to help drive the income of the Charity from your marketing and engagement perspective. This could look like selling tickets for events, running campaigns or increasing sign ups to Legacy.

You’ll oversee and be responsible for executing the marketing plans to support events, partnerships, music services, education and our annual campaigns, where you will get support from, and line manage a Marketing and Communications Officer and an Events Marketing Officer.

This role sits within our Engagements and Communications (E&C) team, which is under our wider Income Generation directorate, (other teams include partnerships, events, trust and foundations and business development) which has ambitious fundraising targets as part of a new 5-year strategy.

You’ll be working closely with and leading on projects between teams within Income Generation, such as our award winning Events team and our hugely successful Partnerships team. So if you love the fast-paced nature of events, and the challenge of increasing income through engaging audiences – as well as lots of music – then this role is for you.

This position is home based but with extensive travel within the Rochdale area and can involve travel across England & Wales A full driving licence and access to a car is essential for the role. The National Flood Forum is partnering Rochdale Borough Council to deliver one of 25 national projects comprising Defra’s Flood and Coastal Resilience and Innovation Programme (FCRIP) which is managed by the Environment Agency and runs until March 2027. The programme aims to test and create new, innovative approaches to flood and coastal resilience that can be adapted and rolled out more widely as good practice and new ways of delivering positive change.

Our project centres on two frequently flood affected and vulnerable neighbourhoods in the Roch Valley in Rochdale district The communities are complex and include a high incidence of social, economic and environmental disadvantage. It aims to develop a more holistic approach to flood and climate resilience with better management of residual flood risks through new, innovative cross-sectoral approaches that also address climate justice and both flood and fuel poverty. The project will deliver a step change in flood literacy and community participation, increase peoples’ capabilities to respond to flooding, improve flood and climate resilience of ageing housing stock, enhance surface water management, neighbourhood water conservation, natural flood risk management and local green infrastructure and develop better financial resilience for homes and businesses.

The National Flood Forum (NFF) is the only independent national charity dedicated to supporting and representing people at risk of flooding. Established in 2002 by those affected by flooding, we passionately put people at the heart of flood risk management. About the Role 

This is a key role acting as a delivery partner on our projects, working on streams of community work, and within the staff team.

Responsibilities 

• Projects and Workstreams: Outstanding delivery on community projects. 

• Community Engagement: Engage and empower communities, supporting and representing them and pushing for the best outcomes.  Being ambitious on their behalf and advocating for change. Supporting senior staff to develop and build community engagement work streams.  Draft and deliver reports.

• Stakeholder Relationships: Manage key stakeholder relationships, ensuring strong partnerships. 

• Political and Fundraising Support: Provide data, case studies, and research to support political influencing and fundraising activities. 

• Support Senior Team with conferences, flood training, external presentations and other NFF activities

Screen Share is the UK’s leading refugee digital inclusion charity. We invest in the digital capability of refugees and people seeking asylum by providing the tools, training and opportunities they need to thrive in education, work and community life. Over the past four years, we have supported more than 3,000 refugees with devices, connectivity, and training. Our 2026–2030 strategy commits us to scaling our impact to reach 5,000 refugees across the UK every year, embedding refugee leadership, and ensuring Screen Share is an effective and sustainable full-service digital inclusion service for refugees for as long as needed. 

This role is funded for 1 year with the high likelihood that funding will continue beyond the grant period. We are also awaiting a response for 2 significant funding applications which will expand the programme. 

Personal Profile

This is a leadership role at a pivotal moment in Screen Share’s journey. The role is funded to deliver our current Digital Skills programme, with a strong focus on quality, impact and evaluation. At the same time, we are awaiting the outcome of several significant funding applications. If successful, these will enable us to expand the programme quickly, positioning the postholder as the Head of a national digital skills programme with a larger team and greater leadership remit.

You will be a dynamic and strategic leader, passionate about digital inclusion and refugees. You bring structured programme management (clear processes, monitoring & evaluation, budget oversight) combined with empathy, cultural sensitivity and the ability to motivate others. You will be excited 

You will thrive in a fast-moving and growing charity where flexibility and initiative are vital. You will embed refugee leadership at the heart of our work, co-designing with lived experience. You will also represent Screen Share externally, building partnerships with corporates, councils and charities, raising the profile of refugee digital inclusion nationally.

Key Responsibilities

Programme Leadership & Delivery

• Lead the design and strategic direction of our Digital Skills programme, Ensure the service we are providing is high-quality, impactful, trauma-informed and aligned with Screen Share’s 2026–2030 strategy.

• Oversee the onboarding and support of hundreds of refugees looking to develop digitally, including supporting with the development of their Independent Learning Plan’s and journeys through Digital Champions 

• Recruite, coordinate and support our digital champions and staff to provide high-quality online and in-person classes, 1:1 support and effective sign-posting

• Maintain oversight of multiple Screen Share digital skills projects delivered over multiple locations. 

• Trial innovative digital inclusion tools and approaches.

Monitoring, Evaluation & Impact

• Design and oversee comprehensive impact measurement and monitoring and evaluation frameworks to ensure the programme is most effective 

• Produce clear, data-centered programme and impact reports (quantitative and qualitative) for existing and prospective funders and partners 

• Embed continuous learning and client reflections into programme design and improvement.
   

People & Volunteers

• Recruit, train and support Digital Champions and volunteers in a trauma-informed way

• Line-manage staff kindly and calmly as the team grows

• Embed refugee leadership and lived experience in programme design, delivery and iteration
   

Partnerships & Fundraising

• Support our Outreach team in building and maintaining strong partnerships with our corporate, charity and government partners 

• Represent Screen Share to external stakeholders including corporates and charity partners with professionalism and credibility.

• Explain and facilitate our Digital Skills employee engagement package for corporates and businesses in a safe and professional manner

• Collect and report detailed programmatic data and case studies for fundraising bids and corporate partnership proposals.
   

Finance, Safeguarding & Compliance

• Hold accountability for the Digital Skills programme budget, reporting regular updates to the CEO 

• Ensure compliance with GDPR, safeguarding and H&S policies.

• Oversee the prompt and accurate reporting of safeguarding incidents to Screen Share’s DSL, and contribute to the development of our safeguarding as an essential element of our work
   

Personal Specification

Essential

• Significant experience in charity programme management, with a strong preference for experience in the digital inclusion, adult education or refugee support sector

• Proven ability to manage teams of staff and volunteers from a diverse range of backgrounds

• Experience working directly with refugees/asylum seekers OR deep expertise in digital inclusion and commitment to learning from refugee experience.

• Strong monitoring, evaluation and reporting skills and experience

We’re looking for a creative and enthusiastic communicator to help raise Creekside’s profile and connect with a growing, diverse audience. As a key member of our small team, you’ll lead on developing and delivering our communications strategy—bringing our mission to life across social media, our website, and other platforms.

This part-time role blends strategic thinking with hands-on content creation and delivery. You’ll craft engaging, informative content that showcases our work and impact, reaching local communities, schools, funders, partners, and supporters.

You’ll also support outreach activities and events, helping build strong relationships and partnerships that further our mission to inspire people to connect with the wonder of urban wildlife.

This is a part time role (15 hours per week) and flexible working arrangements will be considered and discussed at interview. There may be some evening and weekend commitments for which TOIL is given.

Full Time Salary: £30,000 per annum, pro rata. Other benefits include 22 days annual leave in addition to bank holidays and a Christmas closure period, and 3% employer pension contribution.
