The LTA Tennis Foundation, the LTA's official charity, is in the exciting, early stages of their fundraising journey and we are looking to recruit our first Philanthropy Manager, to support the Fundraising Lead in delivering our plan, taking a particular lead on managing our relationships with High Net Worth Individuals (HNWIs).

We are fortunate to have an impressive, and growing, portfolio of prospective major donors and this role will be responsible for further prospecting, the cultivation of gifts, and stewarding of HNWIs – ensuring we build high impact relationships that help us to achieve our ambitious financial targets. While major donors will be your focus, as a small team, you will also play an important role in supporting the Fundraising Lead with a significant programme of wider activity within our fundraising plan.

We are looking for a highly motivated and results driven fundraiser, with demonstrable experience in securing major gifts from individuals, exceptional interpersonal skills and a passion for the power that sport can play in improving lives. 

Although the Philanthropy Manager will be employed by the LTA, which brings the opportunity to utilise the significant infrastructure and resources of a large organisation, your work will be dedicated to the LTA Tennis Foundation.

• This is a permanent role, however we are opening to considering part time applications, although you must be able to commit to 3 days per week, minimum.

1. Community Engagement: 

· Act as the face of the charity at community events, engaging with attendees and volunteers to share Cornwall Hospice Care’s purpose and work.  

· Encourage individuals, groups, volunteers and businesses to participate in and support fundraising initiatives.  

2. Fundraising Support: 

· Support event sales, sponsorships, and donations by promoting community events through various channels.  

· Collaborate with team members to ensure financial targets are met, share updates about current projects, share ideas and utilise any opportunities to support the wider fundraising team.    

· Collaborate with the marketing team to promote community events and challenges through social media, email campaigns, and local networks

3. Relationship Management: 

· Build and nurture relationships with donors, sponsors, event participants and our volunteers to ensure long-term engagement.  

· Contribute to thank-you efforts, such as writing acknowledgment letters to donors and volunteers.  

· Work positively throughout Cornwall Hospice Care as part of the Fundraising and Engagement team.

4. Volunteer Coordination:

· Assist in recruiting and training volunteers, ensuring that they are supported, motivated and informed about the charity’s purpose, ambitions and values. 

· Support our culture of appreciation and recognition for volunteers.

5. Monitoring, Evaluation & Reporting: 

· Assist in evaluating the success of community events by gathering feedback and tracking outcomes.  

· Ensure compliance with relevant fundraising regulations, ethical standards, and best practices.

About You

As our ideal candidate, you have an impressive background in major gift fundraising, with a proven track record of securing six and seven-figure donations and exceeding ambitious targets.

Able to demonstrate in-depth knowledge of philanthropic fundraising, particularly from Major Donor and Trusts & Foundations sources, you possess strong experience working with senior volunteer leaders and stakeholders such as Trustees, board members, and high-net-worth individuals.

You have the skills and experience to autonomously lead every stage of the cultivation and stewardship journey – from cold prospecting, relationship building across multiple stakeholders, developing and writing strong proposals, pitching, delivering, nurturing and uplifting relationships.

A robust understanding of the charity sector, including its challenges and opportunities, is essential as are your skills and experience in building bespoke fundraising propositions, fundraising through major gift campaigns, and managing complex stakeholder relationships.

You have exceptional communication, both written and verbal, and the ability to inspire commitment and connection to our mission. Strong organisational skills, meticulous attention to detail, and proficiency with Microsoft Office and CRM systems are required.

Birmingham Botanical Gardens (BBG) is looking for a highly motivated Development Officer with  experience to join the small but dedicated Development Team to raise funds to retore and preserve the Gardens for the benefit of everyone now, and for future generations. 
Purpose of Role

This exciting new role is vital to increase the income generating capacity of BBG’s Development Team to enable the charity to deliver its purpose and major development over the next 4+ years. In July BBG was awarded an NLHF grant of £9.075m, and has successfully raised over 90% of the capital funds needed. The priority is to close the capital funding gap in accordance with our fundraising strategy and increase funding for other projects and the day-to-day operation the charity, long term. BBG receives no public subsidy and must raise all income from visitors, trading, events and fundraising. The Development Officer post has been created to increase fundraised income for the charity, cultivating and stewarding an expanded and sustained funding and supporter base.

In line with current priorities, the postholder will be required to raise commercial sponsorship income, and income from major donors/individuals to meet capital and operational targets/KPI’s. The postholder will be expected to create sponsor/donor packages, deliver cultivation events and steward donors and supporters on all aspects of fundraising as directed. The postholder will have experience of managing sponsorship agreements to ensure value, compliance and delivery of benefits. 

The role will share responsibility for the management of data, compliance and stewardship of growing funding streams and support the administration of the Development Function. The Development Team raises and manages funds from grants, trusts and foundations, individuals, organisations, business, legacies, etc, and the new postholder will work with the highly effective and dedicated team of Development Director and Development Manager and with the wider BBG team.

Key Responsibilities

· Achieve income and performance targets in accordance with BBG’s agreed Fundraising Strategy and business needs, as directed by the Development Director.

· Raise funding with compelling case for support from sponsors/from individuals, to meet the targets of the Major project, and  fundraising from other sources such as grants, as agreed.

· Contribute to managing BBG’s development/fundraising function data, ensuring accuracy of data and information on BBG’s Spektrix/CRM system to comply with internal requirements and the Data Protection Act.

· Work with Horticultural, Marketing, Learning & Engagement, Finance Teams and other staff to formulate proposals, maximising opportunities for raising funds to support core functions and projects, once the capital is secured.

· Manage funding contracts with sponsors and those of all Development funders -including payment schedules, high quality impact reports, monitoring and compliance with any conditions of funding.

· Develop and deliver HI UK’s strategy for high-net-worth individuals.

· Lead on the new Capital Campaign, 2026-2030, for HI UK.

Our new Capital Campaign will be an invaluable tool for you in developing funding from high-net-worth individuals in the UK. You will lead on its launch and recruit a Campaign Committee, stewarding them to deliver results.

Relationship Management

You will lead on the development and stewardship of long-term relationships with high-net-worth individuals, family offices, and family foundations.

Income Growth

You will drive the growth of an existing pipeline of high-net-worth individuals and develop this pipeline with new supporters from our individual giving stream and philanthropists who are new to HI, to secure significant gifts.

Collaboration

You will work closely with HI's Global Specialist in Major Giving, HI UK Trustees, our Federal Major Giving team, and international colleagues, to develop compelling proposals and provide timely impact reporting.

Stewardship

You will ensure exceptional donor stewardship and provide a high-quality experience for supporters at every stage of engagement.

Cultivation events

You will initiate and run high quality cultivation events for your donors and prospects, to form part of their stewardship journey.

Data Management

You will accurately manage donor records, communications, and reporting through our CRM.

Other duties

· Maintain a positive and collaborative working relationship with HI UK colleagues, the Federal fundraising and communication teams, and Major Giving counterparts in other HI national associations in Europe and North America.

· Ensure compliance with fundraising regulations and high standards.

· Keep up-to-date and adhere to any changes in legislation, regulatory procedures, innovation, best practice and industry standards in relation to private fundraising.

· Any other activities commensurate with the level of the post, as may be required by the Global Specialist in Major Giving.

As a key part of our fundraising efforts in our high-performing East region, you will have the opportunity to drive income generation through a variety of initiatives, including challenge events, fundraising groups, and corporate partnerships such as charity of the year. You will also be responsible for driving initiatives to increase our profile and supporter base within Buckinghamshire, Bedfordshire, Hertfordshire, Northamptonshire and Essex.

In line with our income generation strategy:

· Lead on the strategic planning and implementation of income generation activities to help build sustainability of The Carers’ Centre and its services for 19,600 unpaid carers across Bath and North East Somerset.

· Develop and implement a stewardship programme for donors and funders building support and securing new income for The Carers’ Centre.

· Work collaboratively with colleagues to help deliver The Carers’ Centre vision for carers.

Income generation

· Design and deliver a diverse income generation plan to support philanthropy and fundraising in line with The Carers’ Centre Strategic Plan.

· Co-produce annual philanthropy and fundraising targets and take the lead responsibility to instigate and co-ordinate the activity that will achieve them.

· Build long-lasting relationships with key local philanthropists, donors, and funders.

· Work proactively with colleagues to research, identify and scope a portfolio of compelling projects and proposals that will appeal to donors and funders.

· Work closely with communication colleagues to develop appropriate communications campaigns and activities for different supporter groups.

· Contribute towards the charity’s communications and marketing strategy ensuring fundraising is embedded.

· Develop, maintain, and implement relevant policies and procedures in line with our growth plans.
